If you're gonna make me cry,
just do it right and make me cry.
I never knew how much
it'd hurt you to keep me.
You don't even know if
you really need me.

It's been 12 hours since Sam and Blaine's victory party. It's also been 12 hours since Violet unknowingly expressed to Sam that she was trying to convince herself that he wouldn't leave her and that she wasn't a burden.

Violet's words burned into Sam's brain. He knew that Violet had her own insecurities that she was working through, but he had no idea that any of them had to do with their relationship. It spooked him, to say the least.

He never wanted Violet to feel that way, so from the start, he's been determined to make sure that he's extra positive for her and show her all of the love he had to give her. But he couldn't lie, it was exhausting, but he felt like he had to keep up the act.

He was just thankful for Britt. She was always there for him, and it helped that she just understood him. She understood all of his crazy conspiracies, and she made him feel smart when he felt stupid.

He thought that he could do all of this without Violet's knowledge, but she was observant, especially about him. She noticed how, when they talked, it was only about him supporting her, or them just talking about her, never him. And whenever he wasn't with Violet, he was stuck to Britt's side like glue. Sometimes it felt like he liked talking to Brittany more than her.

But she knew she had to move past these thoughts. She tried to move past these anxieties, but it just kept infecting her mind like a parasite.

Violet's insecurities were overwhelming her mind that Saturday morning as she was waiting for Sam to get down showering and come down. She was snapped out of her thoughts when her phone started to vibrate.

She saw Kurt's face flash onto the screen and she immediately picked up the call, expecting him to be crying, but he wasn't.

"Oh my, God. I have SO MUCH to tell you."

Violet furrowed her eyebrows, but then asked, "What happened?"

"Finn's here."

She was in shock, "Wait, he's not backpacking through Georgia still?"

"WHAT?" Kurt exclaimed

"Oh. He didn't say..."

"How did you know about this? He didn't contact me. He hasn't even contacted our parents." he questioned.

Violet sighed, "I was the only person he could tell without getting embarrassed, so I've been updating your parents on this. He asked me not to talk to anyone else about it. Even Sam doesn't know."
