6 | Acceptance

Rona was grateful that just before she left Seoul, she managed to patch things up with Jenny. Even though right now it is still tenuous but at least they were on their way there. Rona walked into her apartment, seeing boxes lining up the living room. Even though they had not heard yet from Juillard, Yoonhee had begun packing.

Yoonhee had contacted Alex the day before to inform him that Rona and Seokhoon were coming to New York. Keeping his promise to Logan, he told Yoonhee not to worry for Rona and Seokhoon safety. Even though he did not know them, Logan often spoke of Rona to him and understood how much she meant to Logan.

Fear not Ms Yoonhee, I will watch over Rona and Seokhoon as though they were my own children as well. You just focus on catching the jackass who killed my brother. I will help you in any way I can. At first my grandmother wanted me to take matters into my own hands but after we saw Logan's will and his last recording. I convince my family to let you and Mrs Suryeon take the lead on this one. Alex had already chosen a suitable accommodation for Seokhoon and Rona, it was located in the central part of New York, to make sure the two of them were kept safe. Rona was about to help her mother with the packing, when she noticed a couple of letters on the boxes. Her mother must not have gotten around to looking through them. She looked through the letters and divided them into piles. She noticed one address to her, when she saw on the top right corner that it was from New York. Omma!!

Yoonhee came running out of her room. What?! Did something happen? Rona showed her the envelope, and Yoonhee realised what this letter could possibly be. Rona's hands were trembling as she tried to open the envelope. She quickly scans the letter.

Rona screamed in excitement, she had gotten in! Yoonhee was initially a bit worried but seeing Rona jump around for joy, she hugged her. Congratulations Rona! I am so proud of you. Juilliard is a prestigious performing art school - one of the best in the world! This is so exciting!

I wonder if Seokhoon got in? Rona was worried, after all this was a decision that she made for both of them. I am sure he would have gotten in, he is one of the best pianists at Chungah High School. Why don't you call him to ask him?

Rona quickly ran to her bedroom to grab her phone. She had Seokhoon on speed-dial and barely 3 seconds into the call, Seokhoon picked up. Rona, is something wrong? Why are you calling me now?

Haha, I am fine Seokhoon, I am calling because I just got my acceptance letter from Juilliard and I was wondering if you got yours already?

There were rustling sounds in the background, Seokhoon went to his mother's office. Often most of the mail that came to the house was about Suryeon's business so the maids normally would put all the mail on her work desk. Seokhoon looked through the pile of mail, and saw one with his name. He quickly opened it and read it.
