133 | Start of the End

A month had passed and Dante was smiling from ear to ear, he had finally succeeded in getting just enough capital to begin the first project for the Cheoseo Distrcit. It took some haggling with several business partners and a few loans but he had gathered them all. In the week, he was approached by one of the Three Queens (as they are dubbed), a very successful business woman in Seoul. She had expressed interest in investing in the Cheoseo District, in return she wanted to have a place in the newly built Cheoseo Place. Dante was more than happy to reserve her an apartment. As such, Dante's groundbreaking ceremony was going to proceed as planned.

Cheo Seojin also received some good news, her bid to be Chungah Group's CEO had managed to go through. She had thought that Yoonhee would make things difficult for her, but unexpectedly she had been really quiet. Taking advantage of that, Seojin pushed through her agenda. Now all she needed was to complete the formalities of the ceremony and then she would have full control of Chungah Group at her fingertips. She would be on a playing field with Dante and would work to get Eunbyeol back as well.

Today both Dante and Seojin's ceremonies were going to be taking place. Dante had instructed his secretary to make sure that all the media was present at the ceremony. This was going to be Dante's crowning glory and he wanted to make sure everyone - especially Yoonhee and Suryeon - saw this. It was going to be the greatest slap to his enemies faces. Having gained Dante's loyalty and trust even more, Dongpil was tasked to handle the groundbreaking ceremony. Seojin also did the same thing, she invited all the media to the hotel ballroom. She even extended the invitation to Yoonhee, Mari and Sangah. She couldn't wait to revel in the spotlight and show her rival that even though she managed to block her once, she won't be able to block her forever.

10:15AM, Cheoseo District, Seoul

All the reporters and the media had arrived, the staff of King's holdings were ushering everyone to the ribbon cutting and groundbreaking stage. Dante had built a large stage with a big LED screen so that everyone could witness the ceremony.

Is everything ready? Dante asked Dongpil as he prepared his suit.

Yes sir, everything has been arranged per your instructions. Everything is ready.

Good good. It is now time to claim the glory I had been denied for so long.

10:15AM, Chungah Hotel, Seoul

At 10:15AM, all the guests and the media that had been invited were ushered into the ballroom and seated. Sangah had arrived and was looking around for Mari. She stopped Mari entering the ballroom and alongside her was Yoonhee.

Naturally she should be here, she is the Director of Chungah Art Centre. Why are you here?

I am representing Kyun Jin, he is over at Cheoseo groundbreaking ceremony so naturally I have to come here instead.

By the way, how are both your children?

Yoonhee turned to face Sangah, she had heard from Mari what Minhyeok had done. She had to admit she was rather surprised but yet she was incredibly proud of Minhyeok. Choosing to sort of strike out on your own is never easy, but the fact that he chose to do it, that boy has got some backbone unlike his parents. Rona is doing well in New York, Jenny is also working right now.

Ah yes, my son told me. He said they both are working part time at Chungah Art Centre.

Yup, they are working for the programming and education department at Chungah Art Centre. I believe they are learning a lot.

Jenny told me the job is rather challenging, but she feels that she has learnt and seen a lot of what it means to educate or be a teacher. I think she has found a greater appreciation for her past teachers.

Minhyeok seems to be doing really well. When I observed his lessons, he was a natural. He was confident and yet caring and understanding to the young children.

You have seen him teach?

Of course, I am the Director. I go down every once in a while to check on the programmes. I just happened to observe a class where Minhyeok was the trainer. He doesn't talk to you about these things?

Hmph, whenever I try to go to his house, he neve opens up. I don't know much about what he does these days.

Well he comes over to my place often with Jenny after work. I feel bad that he lives alone and doesn't get to eat proper meals so he often had dinner with us.

Your son said not to, so I respected his wishes.

Before Sangah could respond, the lights dimmed, the inauguration had begun.

10:30AM, Cheoseo District, Seoul

The ceremony was underway, it was now time for the ribbon cutting followed by the groundbreaking. Dante and his investors smiled for the cameras and went about cutting the ribbon. Afterwards, they headed over to the stage and did the groundbreaking ceremony. Everything was going smoothly and without a hitch. Dante got up and made his speech. After he had finished, he answered some questions from the media.

10:40AM

With the interviews all finished, Dante was about to exit the stage when the host of the ceremony said that there was one more final item on the agenda. He asked Dante to remain on stage. He announced that they had received a special message and gift from his fiancé Cheo Seojin.

10:30AM, Chungah Hotel, Seoul

The MC announced the arrival of the new Director of Chungah Group. Seojin walked in gracefully, wearing a smart, white dress, her hair all bun up - looking very professional. She got up on the stage and thanked everyone for being here. As she carried on with her speech, she made sure she was smiling at Yoonhee. Seojin felt on top of the world, if Yoonhee thought she could stop her from getting her CEO position back, she was wrong.

10:40AM

When Seojin had finished her speech, she was about to exit the stage when the MC told her that a special gift had arrived from her lovely fiancé. Seojin smiled at the cameras as the staff went to prepare the gift.

10:42AM

A video came on for both of them, both showing Seojin and Dante respectively, wishing each other the best of luck and congratulations. Next, the video went to show their gift. Dante was shocked when it was videos of the bombing of Logan, followed by pictures of him in disguise. It was clear Dante had been the one who killed Logan.

Seojin's expression morphed when she realised what was showing was the video of the night in which she killed her father. The video was not super clear, but everyone could see the location and the who's. Seojin's expression began to crack, it was plain and clear for everyone to see what exactly they were looking at. Seojin killed her own father.

With that both of them scrambled to stop the video, but it was too late. The reporters had recorded everything down and began to ask questions to both of them. Dante and Seojin order their men to clear a path for them and they quickly leave the location. Dante knew that he was in trouble, If word got out to Logan Lee's family, he knew he was toast. Seojin drove away from the venue, there was never a culprit found in the death of her father, she knew the police were going to come after her. She ordered her secretary to drive to the hospital, she needed to take Eunbyeol and leave the country as soon as she could.

Amidst the chaos, Sangah looked really confused. Does this mean Seojin killed her own father? Mari and Yoonhee didn't respond, they just sat there quietly drinking their tea. The end had finally begun.

Note: Yes it is time to end this so I can focus more on Seokrona story compared to the drama of Hera Place. My brain hurts, how do I end Dante and Seojin???!
