Gabbie.

So Hyun, what are you doing here?

Well I heard about what happened, are you alright?

Gabbie began to fake sob and told her of what had happened. She said that she went to confront Rona of all the horrible things she had said behind her back, and all of a sudden Rona grabbed her and ended up hurting her hand. So Hyun just stood there unmoving and silent as she watched Gabbie give her an epic sob story of what had happened.

I see, but Gabbie I think there is something wrong with your story.

Huh?

You see, Rona would never hurt anyone, even if let's say someone did it to her. Rona is a kind soul.

So what? Even the kindest person can do bad things.

Oh I am not denying that, but you see I know Rona very well.

Ya Kim So Hyun, just because you are Rona's best friends don't you think you are too biased?

Why would I be biased, I know what happened.

Huh you do? Were you there? I know what you are trying to insulate but unless you have evidence to suggest otherwise, I am the victim.

So Hyun said nothing and Gabbie assumed that she could not refute her because she did have no evidence to say that Gabbie was not the victim, after all she was injured not Rona. Gabbie was counting on the faction that hated Rona to help back up her claim, and she was proven correct. When the Professors went around asking around what had happened, a few of the classmates all banded together and said they saw Rona hurt Gabbie and the reason was because she had been speaking bad about Gabbie not just her but them.

Professor Clark's Office, Faculty of Music, Juilliard School

This matter had become too important so Professor James and Clark were brought in on the matter; they were overall in charge of the Piano and Voice majors respectively. What do you make of this matter Clark?

It seems very unlikely what these students are saying about Rona. Over the 5 weeks I have gotten to know the girl very well, she has never once mentioned anything negative about her classmates nor her teachers. It doesn't seem right that she would speak bad about her classmates.

What do you think Bob and Maria, you meet these students twice a week, have you noticed any bad blood between them?

No, I mean Rona is incredibly talented and smart, but I have never seen her interact nor spoken to those girls before - for her to have a negative thought or word about them when she hardly knew them seems really lacking.

Agreed, plus I questioned everyone else, and the only person who got a clear view of exactly what had happened was Seokhoon and Ryo. Seokhoon was standing just behind Rona, he claimed Rona never touched her - plus I took a look at Rona's hands, there is nothing smart about them that could possibly cause such an injury. Ryo on the other hand was standing slightly near the door, which actually gave him a clear view of where Rona and Gabbie's hands were placed. He insisted that Gabbie was the one holding Rona. Where in the case for the students who support Gabbie's story, they were nowhere near the door to get any clear view of what had happened.

Hmmm...

Just then a knock on Professor Clark's door was heard. Come in. In walked So Hyun. Hello Professor Clark, James, Bob and Maria. I am Kim So Hyun, from the dance major.

Ah yes So Hyun, Prof Candiance has been singing your praises since day 1. I have heard of you, please come in. Is something the matter?

Yes Prof, I bring evidence that would debunk Gabbie's story.

Oh, what is it?

So Hyun took out a tissue paper and when she opened it, it revealed a pen knife. During the incident I was along the corridor watching everything. I noticed that Gabbie was holding something in her hand during her conversation with Rona. Later on, during the struggle I saw that Gabbie had used it and she proceeded to keep it but in the confusion she ended up dropping it to the floor. I noticed the tip had a bit of blood. I suspect this is what Gabbie used to cut herself.

So Hyun placed the pen knife on Clark's table. When So Hyun went to pick up the pen knife she was very careful not to touch the blade and used tissue paper to pick up the knife by the handle. The professor saw what So Hyun had described and there was a bit of blood on the blade, however there was nothing else on the blade that indicated it was Gabbie's. Still, So Hyun's testimony was crucial for the investigation.

Thank you So Hyun for this evidence, this is really useful. You are dismissed.

Once So Hyun left, the Professors discussed what course of action needed to be taken. It seems based on our primary investigation, Gabbie appears to be lying.

Indeed, since Gabbie is a Piano major I don't have any authority regarding this matter. James, what do you think you wish to do?

If Gabbie is capable of carrying out such a devious plot, it is clear that this is not just a simple one off incident. We may need to investigate this more throughout. I think it's best to conduct an investigation into both Rona and Gabbie's behaviour on campus, their interactions with other classmates - this would give us a more impartial view of what is really going on.

I agree, also just between us, Gabbie's father is fairly influential. We have to tread carefully, if Gabbie catches wind of what we are doing - her father could stop us, and then Rona, who may be innocent in all this, would be affected.

Clark is right. I believe all the Professors of the Voice major have a good impression of Rona. She is a gem and we need to make sure she does not suffer any smears that could possibly ruin a potentially amazing career for her.

Agreed, then let's do this. Since Gabbie is in the Piano major, it would be best for Bob and I will conduct inquiries on Gabbie. While we will leave Rona's side to both of you.

What should we do with the current situation? Right now it does seem obvious that Gabbie is claiming to be the victim.

For now, let us not announce anything. State that we have more to investigate, but both parties are deemed innocent until proven guilty. If we want to set some kind of punishment for Rona for now - just extend her solo practice session half an hour longer. Let the class know if anyone has any complaints they are to see me personally.

Do we need to inform the Dean, Clark?

No, not right now. What we need to evidence first before we go to the Dean. Either way, don't we have that surprise coming up for the students? That would serve as a good distraction for them. Use that first, to temporarily divert their attention from this.

Note:

First and foremost, this story has reached 10K! This is truly humbling and amazing. To be honest, I really doubt my writing and especially the story - I am never sure of whether people would actually enjoy it. So for that much support I am really thankful!

We are already 76 chapters in! I hope you will still continue reading this story as we journey more with Seokrona!

Don't worry Peeps, Gabbie's downfall is soon! Bear with me
