What if Rona had taken up Seokhoo's offer to go to Jullliard at the start of season 3. What awaits Rona and Seokhoon in USA, and how would the story change for Penthouse?

Rona and Seokhoon had landed in New York 2 days ago. Yesterday, Peter had shown them around the city - bringing them around to see the sights and some of the iconic locations of New York. The two of them had a lot of fun, now that they were in a new city. They could really relax, no longer having to worry about looking over their shoulder or concern about anyone. They really let their hair down and focused on just being 'tourist'. Even though Rona had visited New York once, it was very brief and she did not see much of the sights.

Being out with her now new boyfriend Seokhoon definitely brought a freshness to the entire thing. Seokhoon was really happy to see Rona laughing and just having fun throughout the day. In Seoul, ever since Rona came back, Rona always had that look of burden - as though she was carrying not just her sins but her mother's and those around her. But here in New York, where no one really knew who they were - it was the fresh start that they were seeking.

Rona did feel guilt leaving Seoul, it was as though she threw all her burdens onto her mother. She often wondered if she had any right to still continue to pursue music especially with what happened to Seolah. She finally confided in Seokhoon days before they decided to apply for Juilliard. From why her mother was the one that killed her, the root cause was her. She was so desperate to get into Chungah that she made her mother's life miserable, which led her to make the choice that she did. Seokhoon had no words, how does one comfort such a situation. All Seokhoon could do was just hold her in his arms until she stopped crying.
Seokhoon told Rona that if she didn't have the right, neither did he. He bullied Seolah and made her life miserable for a while. He hurt his mother's own daughter, and the girl he likes now, was almost killed by his father. The two of them held each other, trying their best to comfort each other. Rona, no one is ever truly deserving of something. I understand the guilt but one way we can repay Seolah is to live our lives in repentance to her. Rona was finally convinced by Seokhoon's words which was what led to eventually both of them applying to Juilliard.
The next day
In two days time would be the first day of orientation but for today, Rona was finally introducing Seokhoon to her friends. She was both nervous and excited to see the merging of her life then in the States and present in Seoul. The weather was slowly turning chilly and so both of them dressed warmly. They had arranged to meet Rona's friends at a nearby cafe/restaurant.

Rona was nervous as she sat there beside Seokhoon. She began to play with her dress, worried that either her friends won't like Seokhoon or vice versa. Seokhoon saw the nervousness - he took her hands into his. Rona don't worry, whatever it is I am sure your friends are lovely. Seokhoon reached down to lightly peck her cheeks. Rona smiled, and at the corner of her eyes she saw her friends enter the cafe.
