186 | Back in New York

Time flew and soon, it was time for Rona and Seokhoon to return to New York. Seungho, Yoo Jung and So Hyun had already flown back a week before. The couple decided to wait until the very last week before they flew. With the concert and the wedding, there was much that they needed to do. They chose to extend their break until the final week of holidays, this gave them more time to iron out all the details.

Yoonhee and Suryeon did not want either of them to be too distracted with the concert or the wedding while they were in New York. So the earlier they finalised the details the better it was for them. Seokhoon and Rona had already hired a wedding planner who had already begun scouting locations and vendors for their wedding. Leaving it in her and her team's capable hands, made Rona feel at ease.

About 3 months before the end of the 3rd semester, she would be flying up to help Rona with her wedding dress and give an update to the couple regarding the wedding. Peter (Alex's person), volunteered to help with the wedding as well.

With that, the couple said goodbye to their family and friends the night before. Unfortunately, they were not able to do a mini trip out of Seoul with their friends. Minhyeok and Jenny were both still very busy with school and Eunbyeol and Seokkyung had just started their art and cooking studies respectively. Seeing how busy the four were, Seokhoon and Rona felt bad if they did end up taking a trip. They did not want to disrupt their rhythm so they planned that perhaps before the wedding, they would take a quick trip all together.

Rona and Seokhoon arrived back in New York, and even though they did not call New York home. The familiar sights, smell and the sound of the people was definitely comforting to them. The first time they arrived in New York, they were really like fish out of water. Now they already more or less knew New York, they were comfortable living here. Marcus was waiting for them at the pick up zone.

It is wonderful to see you both again. Also congratulations to you two.

432 Park Avenue, New York

Marcus drove them to their condo in New York. Upon entering the condo, they realise that the entire space had changed. Hello Seokhoon, Rona. Welcome back. On behalf of myself, Alex and the rest of the staff, we like to congratulate you two on your engagement.

Thank you Peter but what happened to the space?

Oh, we always had plans on renovating the space, so when you three were gone I took the liberty of rearranging and redesigning it. I hope it is to your liking.

Peter gave Seokhoon and Rona a tour of their newly redesigned condo. Peter had basically knocked down two rooms and combined them to make a master suite for the two of them. Their bed, bathroom were all together in one big open space. Connected to that was their shared dressing room, with a makeup vanity for Rona. The other two rooms had been converted into a music practice room, while the other is their shared study room. Their living space essentially stayed the same, except the walls to the kitchen were knocked down. Now, their living space was one big open floor plan, with the kitchen, dining and living area all in one.

The condo looked much more modern and mature overall. Seokhoon loved the fact that the master suite had been expanded, it was much more space for Rona and him. After thanking Peter, they unpacked their belongings. They handed out some souvenirs they had brought to the staff. Peter and Marcus especially had been looking after them for the entire year while they were living in New York. One of the reasons why they felt safe and adjusted quickly was because of these two. It was only right to buy them something from Korea. Suryeon and Yoonhee also wanted to give them something as thanks, so in the end Marcus and Peter ended up with a lot of gifts. They both thanked Seokhoon and Rona, asking them to convey their thanks to their mothers as well.

With that, Seokhoon and Rona settled into their new condo. There were another 2 more days before semester began but they had a meeting with Prof Clark and James tomorrow at Juilliard. Rona was looking out of the window in their bedroom, the bed was facing the window which gave the couple a wonderful video of New York's cityscape. What are you thinking of? Seokhoon hugged Rona from the back, whispering into her ears. Rona looked upwards, and kissed Seokhoon's chin.

Not really thinking about much. I just hope and pray that this 2nd year would be a rather quiet one for us...

You worried about there being a 2nd Gabbie?

Well not just her but I hope we don't get someone worse.

We will be okay, Rona. We have faced worse and we will continue to face them together. I will never leave you. Rona not only heard but felt his promise. She turned around and hugged him, burying her head in his chest. Are you hungry?

No, not really. Rona's voice was a bit muffled as she spoke into his chest. Then shall we do something else?

Like what? Rona lifted her head from his chest and looked up at him. His lips covered her and their lips were soon moving against each other with equal ferocity. Seokhoon's tongue entered Rona's mouth and explored every inch of it. He grunted as he tasted that familiar and addictive taste of his fiancé. They continued to kiss and soon the atmosphere of the room got hotter and hotter as the minutes went by.

We have a new bed, we ought to break into this right? Seokhoon whispered against Rona's lips. Rona's cheeks flushed redder as her mind began to think of all the things they would be doing. You just imagined us didn't you. Rona tried to pretend that she did not understand a word Seokhoon said. Haha, playing dumb my fiance? Very well, let's do everything that both of us can imagine.
