With that set, the countdown had begun for Seokhoon and Rona. Every day, if they were not on campus studying or doing assignments; they were mainly in the practice room preparing for their final exams and the competition. For now, news of the competition had been kept secret from everyone else beside Prof Clark and James. They knew that the news of the competition could distract everyone else from the real matter at hand - which is their studies.

Seokhoon and Rona had hoped for a quiet finish of the semester, however that was not to be. When a few classmates started to notice that Rona was spending more time with Prof Maria in practice. They began to make noise, and started accusing Prof Maria of favouritsim. What was ironic was that each student had their own individual teachers - so it was fair that Maria was focusing more on Rona compared to the rest (since she was not their teacher). Prof Maria this semester only took on two students - Rona and Yoo Jung. So if there is anything, Yoo Jung is the only one that could have made any noise.

However, even though Gabbie had left, she still continued to fuel the fire. She chose to still maintain the group chat that she had made with the group of girls she had rope into her scheme. Over the weeks since semester began, there was a growing resentment towards Rona especially. Partially it was due to the lies that Gabbie had spread plus the fact that there was no denying that Rona was the best in the Voice cohort. This causes some of the students to feel like they have been denied their prize.

Furthermore, with the appearance of Alex and Gabbie being kicked out, they truly believed that Rona had used her influence to get ahead. As the uproar got worse and worse, Rona did her best to ignore the stares of jealousy and anger in the classroom. But finally the girls decided to call not just Rona but the Professors on the biases. Clark was frustrated with the situation, any mature logical person could see that there was no foul play with anything.

Gabbie was kicked out because she tried to harm Rona, (though this was never disclosed and Gabbie spun another tale for those girls) and Alex since that donation had not been in contact with anyone since

Gabbie was kicked out because she tried to harm Rona, (though this was never disclosed and Gabbie spun another tale for those girls) and Alex since that donation had not been in contact with anyone since. Clark was in his office with several other Professors who had been getting heat. It was finally decided that the best way to shut everyone up was to show exactly their strength.

So we are doing a competition?

Not exactly, it would not be a public one. Since there is going to be a final practicum for all the Voice students, I have spoken to the Dean to change the details a bit.

As what Clark had said, normally for the final practicum it would be a panel of Professors evaluating the students. They are allowed to choose a song of their choice for this (as long as it fits the requirement of the practicum). However what has been changed is that every student; both male and female will be singing from the exact song. All the female students will sing one, and the males will sing another. This will ensure fairness. Second, no Professor from Juilliard will be judging them, rather we have invited only 2 special judges - Piotr Beczala (a Polish operatic tenor) and Saioa Hernandez (a Spanish operatic soprano). These judges are currently the top in their field, and they have never interacted with the students before, so they are coming without biases.

Good, let's hope this puts a stop to this mess.

It also seems when the students make their complaints - they always mention Gabbie. I thought we already got rid of her.

I have made my inquiries and it seems these students have a group chat with Gabbie. Despite leaving it seems she has been making things worse.

This is just a bloody headache, this is the best performing art school in the world and yet we are here having to deal with ridiculous situations.

I agree Darrell, this is truly something. Let me talk to the Dean regarding Gabbie, if she is still causing us trouble off and these students continue to make a ruckus then it is time we take some disciplinary actions.

Well hopefully, the results of this practicum will shut everyone up.

Who do you think will win Amy?

Is that ever a contest, despite the students thinking Rona has been taking advantage. There is no question that she is the most consistently strong student in every regard. As long as she keeps this standard up, she will win hands down.

So what song should we choose?

It has been decided already. For the males it would be Ombra mai fu*, while the female would be Casta Diva (Bellini). These are classical famous songs plus all the students had at least practiced this song once during their semester here. Everyone has an equal and fair advantage. Rona has not chosen this song for the Elisabeth competition, so she will be at the same starting point as everyone.

*Also known as "Largo from Xerxes", is the opening aria from the 1738 opera Serse by George Frideric Handel

With that, it was set, the students were only given 1 week to prep and they would be judged and scored based on this performance. It would be reflected in their final GPA for semester 1. None of the students complained at the arrangement, to make sure there were no additional problems, both parents and students were briefed on the rules and setting. The group of childish girls were excited, they believed that with this 'fairness' they would finally win Rona

Note: I hope so far the story has been going well? I mean what do you think? too boring?
