148 | Merry Christmas

25th December, Luxembourg

Snow was falling outside as the morning light streamed through the bedroom window. Seokhoon opened his eyes and saw a beautiful fair skin woman sleeping just beside him. Seokhoon stared at Rona's face, he looked at her kissable lips, rose cheeks and defined nose. She was a sleeping angel, Seokhoon moved himself closer to her, cuddling her. Rona began to stir as she felt someone's hot breath against her skin.

As she slowly opened her eyes from her sleep, there in front of her was a handsome looking man. Seokhoon's eyes, mouth and jawline was just perfect in Rona's eyes. She smiled and said good morning, Seokhoon returned the greeting and lightly kissed her forehead. Today was Christmas! Seokhoon had prepared a romantic dinner that would take place later on in the evening.

For now, they were going to go to church Christmas morning. After they had eaten a simple breakfast, they made their way down to Christmas service at the Notre-Dame Cathedral. Even though Seokhoon had never been religious, Rona was. Since they lived in New York, he would often accompany Rona to church and slowly bit by bit, he was beginning to believe. He realised that there had to be something bigger then what he could see or feel. That there is a reason for everything in this world.

Luxembourg was covered in white, it was really a beautiful sight as they made their way to the church. After the morning Christmas service was over, they went to do some grocery shopping first and then headed back home. They used this time to call their families, Korea was 8 hours ahead of Luxembourg so calling in the afternoon would be their night time. After their competition had ended, they were made aware of the war of Hera Place ending. Rona was relieved, even though she did not like the fact that she was actually happy that Joo Dante had died. It felt like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. Even though Rona never showed it, she always felt guilty about running away and taking Seokhoon away from Seokkyung and his family.

Seokhoon also knew of the guilt that Rona felt but now with everything over, he was happy that Rona could finally let go of this burden. Even though Seokhoon had hoped that maybe his father would repent, he was prepared for the worst case scenario. He is happy though that Seokkyung is okay, that she realises the faults of her ways. Now she is still serving out her 'sentence' of rehabilitation. Seokkyung insisted that she go through the programme, even though she was never punished by law or anything, in order to show her sincerity towards the victims of her abuse, she needed punishment. It was her way of asking for forgiveness.

They spent about 2 hours talking to their mothers and asking about their friends. It seems Eunbyeol has steadily been improving, after Seojin turned herself in, true to Eunbyeol's words her mother was never mentioned again by Yoonchul. The focus now was for Eunbyeol to get better and try to restart her life. Seokhoon and Rona both told their mothers to expect to see Christmas gifts probably at the beginning of the new year. Due to the competition, the two did not focus on any gift-buying until after the competition. Rona had a fun time talking to Jenny and Minhyeok, it seems that things were going well - they were both enjoying their part time work and excited for University to begin next year.

After bidding farewell to their friends, they spent the remaining afternoon lazing around and enjoying the snowfall outside of their window. Seokhoon informed Rona that their dinner reservation was at 6:30 PM. So at around 5pm, Rona started to get ready for their Christmas dinner date. WHen she entered the bedroom, on the bed was this big cream box with her name on it. She was curious and opened it up, there was a Christmas card from Seokhoon.

What was in the box was the evening dress that Seokhoon bought for her. It was a beautiful cream colour dress that really hugged her figure. It showed off all the right curves and cleavage, but still maintained a simple sexy look. Apart from the dress, there were accessories to go along with it. Rona could tell at the quality that it was not costume jewelry, Seokhoon had bought her white diamond jewellery that matched her dress. She opened the accessories box and in it was a simple white chain with a diamond pendant and a pair of diamond earrings.

As Rona was admiring her gift, Seokhoon walked into the room and hugged her from the back. You like your gift? Seokhoon placed his head on her shoulder, hugging her waist close to him. Rona smiled and nodded her head. These must have been expensive, you shouldn't have.

It is Christmas and we did well in the competition. This is just a congratulation and Christmas present. I want to spoil you so let me. Seokhoon tightened his hold on Rona while she continued to look at the jewellery. Well, since we are going to get ready for our dinner, I shall give my present to you now.

Rona walked over to the living room and handed Seokhoon a beautifully wrapped box. Open it. Seokhoon tore the Christmas wrapping and realised the present was a watch. He opened the box and there was a beautiful, simple black watch. Do you like it? I know you often wear watches so I thought it would be a practical gift for you. Seokhoon hugged Rona tightly. I love it.

Wait, that is not all, take out the watch and look at the back. Seokhoon removed the watch from the box and flipped the watch to the back, on the back engraved were the words 'Forever with you -R~ Seokhoon felt really moved by those words and kissed Rona deeply. They continued kissing for what felt like a good 5 minutes before they released each other's lips. Thank you Rona, I will forever treasure this.

After they exchanged their Christmas presents, Seokhoon and Rona went to get ready for their Christmas dinner.
