19 | Friends

Rona jumped up for joy when she saw her friends walk through the cafe doors. Rona ran to them and hugged them in greeting. Even though they had kept in contact it was still sporadic at best, sometimes perhaps a call or two but as life got busier, they mainly texted. Seokhoon stood by the table and patiently waited for Rona to finish greeting her friends. Rona turned and saw Seokhoon just waiting there, she dragged her friends over to introduce them.

Seokhoon, I would like you to meet my friends. This is Kim So Hyun, she is Korean like us, but she came to the States to attend high school. She will be in the faculty of Dance in Julliard. So Hyun was a beautiful girl, her small face and sweet smile plus being a super talented ballerine in school made her uber popular. What was probably most amazing about her was that she did not apply to Juilliard, rather Juiliard came to find her and offered her a scholarship.

So Hyun smiled and shook Seokhoon's hand. Hello Seokhoon, it is really nice to finally meet you. When Rona was in America, there was one name that she kept on saying almost daily and that was yours. Rona quickly tried to stop So Hyun from spilling how lovesick she was during her time in the States. Rona smiled embarrassingly at Seokhoon, Seokhoon blushed at finding out that Rona thought of him often during that time.

Rona cleared her throat. Seokhoon, this is Stephanie, she will be with me in the Voice major in Juilliard. Stephanie was really Rona's first friend that she made when she started attending school here. Rona was really taken by just how pretty this blonde American classmate of hers. She was full of life and a really bubbly girl. She befriended Rona and helped her learn how to navigate the school and just the environment. She too was a talented singer and someone who Rona often went to for advice on singing technique.

This is Gabbie, she will be in piano actually. So she will be your classmate. Seokhoon smiled at the last of Rona's friends. Gabbie was a small size, short hair brunette, she was on the quieter side and in actuality never really interacted with Rona Rona as much as the other two. Gabbie was friends with Stephaine, later on Steph invited Rona to join their group. Seokhoon noticed that Gabbie was staring at him intently, at first Seokhoon thought there was something on his face. But Gabbie never said a word, so feeling a bit uncomfortable, Seokhoon turned his attention towards Rona.

What is he to you?

Stephanie interrupted Rona, she knew that there was clearly something more and knowing Rona she would not say anything until you asked her directly. Rona and Seokhoon blushed, even though they were officially together, neither of them have ever had to really introduce the other party as their boyfriend/girlfriend. This would really be the first time.

Seokhoon could see that Rona was struggling a little to get the words out, Seokhoon went to hold Rona's hand in his. We are dating, this is my girlfriend and I am Rona's boyfriend. It is really lovely to finally meet Rona's friends. Rona has talked about you all often.

Stephanie smirked, she knew it. Ha! I knew it, there was clearly a very different air between you two. Thank goodness you said it, knowing Rona, it would take awhile before those words actually left her mouth.

How long have you two been together? Gabbie asked.

Urm you mean like officially together then not long, I only asked Rona to be my girlfriend I would say maybe just a couple of days before we arrived in New York. But we had unofficially been together for I would say about a couple of months.

hmmmmm .... Was the only response that Gabbie had. Seokhoon found that a bit odd but chose not to make a big deal out of it. Out of the corner of his eye he saw that So Hyun lifted her eyebrow, clearly she also noticed that weird response.

I am happy for both of you. Even though Rona would not have wanted you to find out, she did speak much about you. So I feel like I already know you.

Rona blushed, she knew that So Hyun would expose her like that. Ok enough with the introductions, come let's sit and eat. The group sat down and placed their order. It was mostly Stephanie that took charge of the conversation, occasionally So Hyun will chime in while Gabbie tends to remain silent throughout the entire evening. After a good meal, it was soon getting late so the gang parted ways, saying their goodbyes. Even though Rona felt the time spent was too short, she knew that seeing them soon enough at orientation again.

Note: Taking a page out of @dengienini and made character colleges - hope you like them. Also there is a reason the western character I didn't use celebrities (urm I don't follow much American or any English kind of shows so I am not familiar with them)
