77 | I have your back

Due to this incident, classes for the rest of the day were all called off. Gabbie was sent home to rest for the day, same as Rona and everyone else. Rona was deeply shocked by everything. Seokhoon decided she needed to know everything. They walked home in silence, Rona just silently processing everything. When the professors came back to class, they announced that more time was needed for investigation and until then, both parties were innocent until proven otherwise.

Before Rona departed from the classroom, Prof Maria told her that they still needed to punish her, 30 minutes more of her solo singing lessons. Rona was surprised by such a punishment, to be honest it was really light compared to what she was being accused of. Prof Maria could see worry on Rona's face.

Rona, if you are innocent there will be evidence to show that. Don't think too much about it. Take the day to rest and come back focused. I still expect you to give 120% every class you attend, understand!

Rona snapped out of her thoughts and promised Prof Maria that she will continue to work hard. Seokhoon told their friends to head back home first, he will make sure Rona is alright and update the group. Seokhoon told So Hyun that he intended to tell Rona everything and S oHyun agreed. Now that Gabbie has taken it to an extreme, Rona herself needed to be more guarded against Gabbie.

432 Park Avenue, New York

After they reached home, Seokhoon took Rona's bags from her and placed them in their study room. He grabbed her hand and brought her over to the sofa. He pulled her into his arms, Rona was sitting across his lap, Seokhoon hugged her waist bringing her close to him. Rona, feeling exhausted by today's events, laid her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes. After a while, she heard Seokhoon's voice.

Rona-ah, I have to tell you something. It is important so just listen first alright? Seokhoon felt Rona nod. Seokhoon began to tell her everything that Ryo and So Hyun told her. Rona was completely shocked by this revelation. She knew that Gabbie never really liked her but to go to this extent wasn't it a bit extreme. Why take this so far?

I don't know why Gabbie is doing this Rona but now that she has done it, you need to be more guarded against her. I know you always try to see the good in people, but we both have learnt that sometimes people are just in it to destroy us. We can't sit there idly doing nothing, we have to fight back.

How?

I don't know but I am sure the opportunity will present itself. Remember in Chungah how you showed Eunbyeol and the rest you were better than them? You proved it in your singing, at the end of the day, what Juilliard looks at is your character and your talent. They did not accept either of us because we were rich or because we had connections. They accepted you because they saw how good you were. Prove it, not just to the faculty but to everyone else who continues to look and either of us with malicious eyes. I have your back, I will protect you no matter what. I will fight for you.

Rona began to tear, she was moved by Seokhoon's words but also felt betrayal from Gabbie. She never expected the friend that she made 2 years ago would be the person now seeking to destroy her. Seokhoon continued to hug Rona until her tears had dried up. Rona wiped her eyes dry, now that she had finished grieving the loss of this friend - all that was left was anger. Like Seokhoon said, if she could stand up to people like  Cheo Seojin and Ha Eunbyeol, Gabbie is just a small fry in her eyes. Also to all those who hated her, she will make sure their mouths are shut.

Seokhoon could see the fire in her eyes and knew that Rona was going to be alright. Since they had the rest of the day off, Seokhoon thought it would be nice for them to have a nice date together. They could forget about today's problems. Rona really liked that idea, she wanted something that could help distract and refocus herself on what was most important. She went to take a nice hot bath while Seokhoon ordered lunch.

Seokhoon decided to order pasta from a nearby Italian place, he and Rona had visited that place several times and really enjoyed the food. He knew that having some good food would cheer Rona up. Since they decided they were going to enjoy a day out in New York city, after Rona bathed she decided to spend a bit of time putting on her makeup and fixing her hair.

When Rona came out of her bedroom, Seokhoon was once again awestruck by just how pretty she looked. Rona often likes to choose clothes that reflect the innocent and pure nature of her character. As she grew more and more comfortable in New York, her clothing also reflected the change. She would occasionally wear more bold colours or (as Seokhoon saw them) sexier outfits. Lunch had also just arrived and Seokhoon was setting up the table when he saw Rona. He snapped out of his daze and saw that Rona was looking at him all happy. What are you smiling about?

Haha of course, it is one of the best ways to cheer you up - Food.

Are you saying I am a pig?!

Haha no no, but food is one of your comforts right?

Rona couldn't deny that - despite her small size, she really loved food and could eat lots of it. Come, let's eat. After we eat, let's do some shopping. We should buy some gifts and send them home to our family members.

That's a good idea! Okay let's.

Note: I realise I wrote alot about school but I had not dedicated a proper date time to Seokrona. So here it goes...
