Juilliard School, New York
Seokhoon and Rona arrived on campus in the late morning. Even though their classes were later in the afternoon, they both wanted to come to the library to do some research for their modules first. They had a late breakfast this morning, and headed towards the Music Library.
They spent a good 2 hours in the library, before heading off to their classes. Today, Seokhoon and Rona's classes were on the same floor in the same building. So Seokhoon escorted Rona to her classroom first. When they arrived there was a lot of murmuring going on outside the class.
Hey, is it true?
Yeah, I think so, she isn't here today.
I heard that Prof Clark wishes to speak to the entire Voice cohort today.
Guess we will know more when he arrives.
Rona was curious what was going on, Ryo stopped the couple and walked over. Hey guys.
Afternoon Ryo, what is going on?
Oh, it seems there is a rumor going around that Gabbie has been kicked out of Juilliard.
What? Rona knew that Gabbie would face consequences for her actions but expulsion was a rather extreme punishment. She thought at the very most Gabbie will be suspended temporarily. Seokhoon wanted to stay but he had classes. He quickly kissed Rona on the lips. I will see you later. He left Rona with Ryo and headed to his class. He would have to find out the details later on, since Gabbie was a student of the piano cohort, he knew Prof James would also tell them.
Ryo and Rona headed into the classroom first, soon Yoo Jung and Stephanie arrived. Ryo informed them of the rumor going around. Wow, expel?
Well, with what she did, the University cannot turn a blind eye to what she did.
Stephanie was right, the group had presented all their evidence of Gabbie to them. Ryo had even given an official statement to Clark about what he saw. One thing that Gabbie did not foresee was that the Hall did have CCTV cameras. She thought that she had hid herself pretty well, but in the end, the camera did catch a glimpse of her and confirmed that she was backstage and that she had no reason as to why she was there. This proved Ryo's statement.
Prof Clark walked into the class, he asked everyone to sit down and pay attention. He went on to talk about Gabbie and that she had been expelled from Juilliard. I know many are wondering what she did to get her expelled. It is a myriad of things - 1. We have evidence of Gabbie bullying fellow classmates. We not only have video evidence to support this, after talking to a few of her victims, they finally told us the truth about Gabbie. 2. She tried to harm a fellow student. I would not go into the details of the event but because she tried to hurt another fellow classmate in order to get ahead, we have to take this offensive seriously. Luckily, nothing happened to the student BUT had something did happen, it would have been devastating. Juilliard frowns on such acts, regardless of how you all see each other as rivals, competition is meant to be taken in a fair and safe manner. ANY act of seeking to harm another will be dealt with the same way has been done to Gabbie.
On the other side, Prof James was informing the Piano cohort of the school's decision. Gabbie, no matter what, was a student of the Piano major as such, James needed to make it very clear the reasons why. When the matter of Gabbie was being discussed over the weekend by the various Professors, Clark and James decided that he needed to inform the Dean of the matter. He was aware that Gabbie's father was rich and could certainly have the influence to bury these incidents.
(flashback)
This evidence is bad, James.
Indeed Sir, we have decided to either temporarily suspend Gabbie or expel her.
Looking at all this, there is no point in having a student like her around. She only got in because she had connections, and she had some talent that if trained properly, she could have grown to be a good musician. But all these, this is not a student that deserves our time and attention.
I agree Sir but I am worried about Gabbie's father. He could throw enough money and exert his influence so that these victims don't get to see justice.
I get your concern, Clark. I think if we present everything to Gabbie's father it will be better compared to us just announcing our decision. This may cause her father to contest our decision. Let him decide.
True to the Dean's words, when Gabbie's father saw the evidence he was both angry and disappointed. He knew that Gabbie since young had been spoiled by them maybe a bit too much. There was a self-entitlement that Gabbie had. He knew that if he tried to prevent this, and if this got out it would ruin him even more.
Let's remove Gabbie from school then.
Are you sure sir?
Yeah, after seeing her perform, she is not cut out for Juilliard. She insisted on coming in which was why I helped but the fact that her level was really bad compared to everyone else, it just show, she is not cut out for this.
Very well Sir, we will have to formally expel her.
I understand, I will withdraw Gabbie now, please help with the application.
Of course, we can have her withdrawal officially by Monday sir. I am sorry this had to happen.
No no, I am sorry that Gabbie has brought harm to her fellow classmates. I will be sure to have a word with her.
(Flashback end)
With that, the thorn in Rona and Seokhoon's life had been removed. When Rona and Seokhoon had finished their lessons and walked out of campus. Standing there waiting for them, was none other than Gabbie.
