174 | First Impression

(flashback)

Seungho wiped his hands on his jeans for the upteen time, today he was going to be meeting So Hyun's entire family. He initially wanted to take time out for a nice meal, but So Hyun said that her parents wanted to treat him to a nice home-cooked meal at their place. He had rushed to go shopping the day before, he needed to buy something not only for her parents but also for So Hyun's two younger siblings

Since her siblings were still young, he decided to buy them some books which were both entertaining and also educational. He was unsure what he should buy for So Hyun's parents. He finally decided on buying them some nice towels and a nice couple set pajamas. He was supposed to meet So Hyun at a specific bus stop at 11:45, but he was already here at 1130. He didn't want to be late so he made sure to arrive extra early. He was standing under the bus stop shade for about 15 minutes before So Hyun arrived.

When she saw him sweating, she asked how long he had been standing there. When he honestly told her what time he had arrived, So Hyun scolded him. You should have told me, there was no need to be standing out there for 15 minutes under the hot sun, come let's quickly get you inside the house and cool down. So Hyun insisted on helping Seungho carry some of the bags that he had brought along. You know you may have gone a bit overboard, my family is very down to earth, they wouldn't have minded if you came in empty handed.

How can that be, it is common courtesy to bring a gift when you visit anyone's house. You are my girlfriend, all the more I should bring something. After all, you went out of your way to bake several cupcakes that time when you visited my parent's house.

They soon reached So Hyun's house. She lived in a modest apartment, with the hard work of both her father and herself, they managed to buy a 2 room apartment that was not too far away from the city centre. When Seungho entered the house, he received a warm greeting from So Hyun's parents and siblings.

So Hyun's mother cooked Seungho a wonderful meal, even though there were not a lot of dishes, each dish was absolutely delicious. It was definitely a meal that she thoughtfully made for Seungho. They had a fun and delicious lunch, they were engaging and asked many questions. Seungho was happy that he managed to get along with her siblings. He had spent almost the entire afternoon at So Hyun's place, eventually not wanting to overstay he decided to leave at around 4pm.

So Hyun walked him to the bus stop, as they walked Seungho grabbed her hand and held it. So Hyun blushed at the obvious sign of affection, Seungho grinned when So Hyun did not resist his gesture. I like your family So Hyun, I was really worried that they would not be happy with me dating you.

My family isn't like that, just because they don't come from money doesn't mean they will judge you because you have money or come from money rather.

Thank you So Hyun. Seungho stopped walking and hugged So Hyun. So Hyun was surprised but hugged Seungho back. Since winter break, So Hyun has gotten to know Seungho and his family much better. She felt that their relationship has progressed in a very comfortable manner which she really enjoyed. Seungho pulled apart and placed a very soft kiss on So Hyun's lips.

Seungho soon ended the kiss, unlike Seokhoon and Rona who had known each other for more than 3 years before their relationship really advanced, Seungho and So Hyun were still new to each other. Seungho didn't want to pressure So Hyun into anything, so they were going to go step by step. With that Seungho said goodbye to So Hyun when his bus arrived.

So Hyun stood there watching Seungho's bus depart, she touched her lips and smiled softly. She found herself falling deeper in love with Seungho the more they spent time together. She was grateful that Seungho had not really pressured her into doing anything, he also understood that first and foremost, her family was number 1. She needed to not only focus on her dance but also make money to help support the family. Everything else had to wait.

I am glad everything went okay with So Hyun's parents. Uncle and Aunty are really very sweet people, I am sure they loved you Seungho.

Thanks Rona for the encouragement, I hope I gave a good impression. Seungho laughed and smiled. They continued to chit chat, Rona eventually headed up to go to the toilet. With her gone, Seokhoon motioned the three of them to come closer to him.

I need to tell you something and I need a favor from all of you.
