The next day, classes were still cancelled; instead , what had been announced was that everyone from the entire Faculty of Music was to gather in the hall. Rona was slightly nervous when she stepped onto campus but Seokhoon squeezed her hands and kissed her. He didn't care if there were people staring at them. When he felt Rona begin to relax in his arms and started kissing him back he knew he had erased her worries from her mind.
I am with you. Seokhoon whispered against her lips. Rona was slightly flustered by the sudden kiss but when she heard those words her heart was warmed. When they walked towards the hall, they saw their friends all waiting for them.
You know you two don't need to keep dressing alike, I think after that kiss, everyone knows you are together. Stephaine teased the couple, the gang stopped that really obvious PDA from afar.

Nowadays, dressing alike has come quite naturally to Seokhoon and Rona. They often went shopping together in New York or online and they ended up purchasing a lot of similar items. Rona blushed at Stephaine's words, she did not expect that display of skiship to be seen by everyone. She lightly hit Seokhoon in protest, Seokhoon grinned, that was exactly what he was aiming for. Not only did the kiss calm Rona down, it was a bloody 'RONA IS MINE' sign to everyone who saw them.
When they entered the hall, Rona was surrounded on all sides, her friends had almost created a protective bubble around her as they moved to find their seats. Because the entire faculty was called the hall was filled with students (1st years). Rona tried to look around but she could not really spot anyone else. Seokhoon however saw Gabbie and chose to ignore her, he felt her stare on him but he just focused on Rona and kept looking forward.
Gabbie saw the group, now that she had caused this incident to happen she knew that there was a chance that So Hyun and Stephaine would choose Rona. She had hoped that they would side her instead, but So Hyun clearly was not so easily fooled. Gabbie was short sighted in her plan, she had not factored So Hyun in when she chose to take a drastic plan. Of all the people Gabbie feared the most it was So Hyun. Gabbie knew that So Hyun would not be so easily fooled plus she was bloody smart, if anyone could figure out what happened it would be her. However, the very fact that no action had been taken against her yet, Gabbie (for now) really believed that she would come out on top and Rona would eventually be punished.
About 5 minutes later, the person who walked up on stage was none other than the Dean of Music.
Hello Everyone! Welcome. I am sure all of you are surprised as to why your class had been cancelled as of today. There is a very simple but exciting reason for this. In 3 weeks time you would be reaching mid-semester so to test and surprise our students. There will be an impromptu competition between the majors! Meaning, all piano students get ready because your classmates will be your direct rivals for this competition. Furthermore to make this really interesting this competition will not be limited to the Faculty of Music but rather it would be across the whole of Juilliard.
This would be the chance for all of you to actually see other majors and what they are capable of. Everything from Dance to Drama, you will get to see the full spectrum of what Juilliard has to offer! So, let the preparation begin! Further instructions about the rules of the competition would be brief to you in your respective majors today. Thank you!
A competition, this was rather rare in Juilliard especially at mid-semester, but the Professors always long planned for this - it was meant to shake things up. By having a competition it would be a way for students to experience what it means to compete at almost a professional level. Rona and Seokhoon separated and headed to their respective faculty briefings.
On the way there, Rona saw there were a few smears directed towards her from the group that Seokhoon had told her were against her. Rather than avoid eye contact, Rona smiled brightly at them and carried on marching on. Seokhoon did say it would be best to wait for an opportunity to show these people what she is made up of, looks like that time has come now. She was going to win, and kick all her haters to the curb.
The competition format was fairly straightforward. The entire competition would take place over several days. Music was the biggest faculty of Juilliard so a total of 3 days would be dedicated just to the Faculty of Music. Piano would be on day 5 and Voice on day 6, the remaining instruments like violin, cello and more would fall on day 4. Drama would kick off the competition followed by Dance which would be covered over 2 days. The students could basically choose anything, there is no limit to what kind of song or music they would perform - in other words, it need not be classically based. If they had the confidence to do their own original rendition of a pop song for example, it would still be accepted and judged accordingly. The Professors also hinted that special guest judges would be present, so students should put on their best performance yet.
With that the entire campus was buzzing with excitement, whatever incident that happened just yesterday was completely forgotten for now. Now what was important was the competition right ahead of them.
