You made sure to keep an eye out for Katsuki and the others as well to not make it too obvious that you were checking on him. You would ask Inko and Rei since they hosted all of the playdates as well as Hitoshi since he was in the same class as him. Of course, you would ask about all of his friends but, you focused a little bit on Katsuki. It seemed everything was good for a week and, then he fell back into the behavior. You decided to speak to Inko about this.

"Inko, how much does Katsuki trusts you?" You had visited the woman at the house she shared with Rei and her kids. Rei went out on a blind date- bless her heart she deserves happiness- and, all of the children were at school so she had the complex to herself. Perfect opportunity for you to come and talk to her face to face.

"He is a little mean to Izuku but, acts nice when she is around or when I am around. They seem like they can be friends but, she is pushing him down a dark path that is just going to get worse as he gets older." You nodded along and, you had a wild idea but, needed to ask a question.

"How much does he trust you though? You didn't answer that question." She smiled sheepishly at you.

"He actually trusts me a whole lot when she is not around. He sits on my lap and hugs me...He is a totally different kid whenever either of his parents come around let alone both of them." That was all the answers you needed before you started formulating a plan.

"If the opportunity was to ever arise...would you be willing to adopt him?" You both stared at each other contemplating. It was silent for a few minutes before she smiled lightly at you.

"In a heartbeat." You grinned. Now you can put your plan in motion.

It took a few weeks to gather evidence and you needed La Brava and a few other...unsavory people you know to get the job done but, you were able to hack into their security system, and send every single piece of evidence of abuse, and neglect. His dungeon only had a mattress on a floor that was it. He also had a dog collar where he was 'bad' he would have to eat out of a dog bowl and sleep in a cage. It took everything in your power not to kill the woman but, surprisingly Inko beat you to it. You never thought Inko had it in her but, she beat. Mitsuki's. Ass. She had two black eyes, a broken nose, two teeth knocked out, and two broken ribs. Yeah. Little sweet Inko. Flipped the fuck out. It was a quick and easy task where it looked like a slip in the system and her security and all of her footage just happened to be sent to the detective and the entire police force. What a big old coincidence that it happened to be the police department. Made your life...that much easier. Now, the adoption papers went by relatively...quickly. Your unsavory friends who owed you favors were very convincing. Mitsuki so happened to have made Inko legal guardian of Katsuki if anything happened to her or the dad. Well, something happened to them. Now Katsuki is no longer Bakugo, he is a Midoriya.

"I cannot believe all of this happened so fast and so quickly." You shrugged as Inko was basically beaming with joy. She had Katsuki in her grasp. He was getting therapy for the abuse and being taught the difference between right and wrong.

"if it wasn't for her security system inside the house all of this would have taken so much longer...Plus I am a sucker for kids, especially ones that are hurting and need saving." 'I was never saved' You shook your head to rid yourself of those thoughts.
