The dance.
"I can't believe Danny brought Her to the dance."
"Jess, I couldn't care less what Danny's doing! Come on, let's dance!"
"I don't dance."
"I'll show you."
"No thanks."
"Gosh, you are so boring!"
Just then the music changes and a young boy walks over to them.
"You need somethin?" Sarah asks.
"Sarah." Jessica makes a face.
"I wanted to know if you'd like to dance with me." The boy asks Jessica.
Jessica looks to Danny then turns back to the boy and smiles. "I'd love to dance with you!"
Danny noticed Jessica and the boy so he walked to Sarah and asked, "Who is that?"
"That's Jessica.."
"Sarah."
"I don't know, but I'm forever alone."
Danny watched Jessica and hated seeing her dance with another boy.
It really wasn't a big deal, but to kids their age it felt like a lot, and Danny didn't like it one bit.

November.
The Paulsons and Hustons head up north every Thanksgiving , and this year Jessica and Isla get to come along.
Today is both Jessica and Isla's first plane ride. Jessica is very nervous.
"Jessie, are you okay?" Catherine places her hand on her back when she noticed Jessica rocking.
"Yes.. I'm just scared."
"We don't have to go. Remember I told you we can stay home and it will not be a big deal, I promise!"
"No, no. I want to go! I'm so thankful you want to take me. I'm just a little nervous, but I'm okay."
"Of course we want you to go, you're apart of this family, Jessica. But I want you to be comfortable."
"I'll be okay.."

The flight went well, but Jessica was so happy to be back on the ground.
"Ooh it's cold, isn't it, Isla?"

"I know. I actually prefer it over Danny. DAAAA! really gets my attention."
