Chapter 48 Episode 47: Advent

    In a dark forest filled with green fogs so strong that the color of the sky was seemingly corrupted by it, corpses of people from diverse races were hung on trees for decorations such as humans, moabians, minotaurs,orcs, reptorixs and lerekons and in that dark forest, a bare chested hiveling male having a messy long blue hair, blue goatee and red eyes while wearing a red trouser with a brown waist coat, was sitting on a wooden chair in a relaxingly.  
    "This is quite a place to stay, Solavan." A masculine voice said.
  Like a warping gate, a strange figure suddenly appeared behind Solavan which turned out to be a horned grey humanoid, having long white hair, black scleras, red eyes and wearing a high collared black robe.
    "Oh, it's you, Balog." Solavan said as he looked back, "What are you doing here?"
   "I came to find out why you aren't helping the other hivelings in the infiltration of Keigra." Balog answered, "Both the young and older hivelings have been assigned to infiltrate Keigra to carry out the plan but here you are, sitting alone in this… Place…"
   "This 'place' is Mandala and it is beautiful." Solavan said.
   "Beautiful isn't the word I'd use." Balog said.
   "I don't expect someone like you to understand beauty." Solavan said as he resumes facing forward, "Anyway, i didn't go because i wasn't interested."
   "Even when there was an order given?" Balog asked.
   "An order given by your kind and not Rora, and i only answer to Rora." Solavan said, "Intriguing, isn't it? A Kan user's body doesn't decay after death; if you choose to dig up all the graves of the kan users that died, you'd discover that not one of their bodies has decayed."
   "Is that why you hang these bodies here?" Balog asked.
  "These are my collections." Solavan said, "They are the records of people i have killed in battle and i keep them here as my trophies… My rewards."
   "That is something." Balog said, "When the hivelings destroyed the urokai race, did you take part of the war?" 
   "I have no interest in destroying weaklings." Solavan said, "I've met the leader of the urokai race, Leminon and boy, was he weak."
   A flashback takes place as Solavan placed his foot on the back of the neck of a bald pale green humanoid, who laid on the ground while carrying blue markings around his face and his shirtless body.
   "It's at that moment i understood that if someone as weak as Leminon was leading the urokai race, then their race is done for." Solavan said with a smirk after explaining the incident.
   "Ah, the strong must lead the weak." Balog said, "The chiefs of the major tribes in Agaroth are no laughing matter, but if i'm to say the major threat among them is between Ezgord and Tenya."
   "Yes, yes, i've heard of Ezgord's feats, especially how he was unscathed by an attack from a high goblin that could easily turn an entire realm into ash and what he did was to laugh, not because it tickled but because he deemed the goblin foolish for attacking with such weak power.
   Oh and is it Tenya? the warrior that posses two different auras, thanks to her kan ability of Gemini balance. I don't want to mention her feats but many believe her to be on par or even far higher than Ezgord, and personally, I'd like to challenge her."
    "You're extremely confident in your power." Balog said, "You said you have no interest in fighting weaklings, right? Correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't it your race that attacked a minor tribe of Agaroth when they were still called the insectoids?"
    "I didn't join them." Solavan said, "Like i said before, i don't fight weaklings. Any race with kan that attacks a kanless race, doesn't have the bowels to face the ones with kan."
     "So your race are cowards?" Balog asked.
    "Be careful with what you say." Solavan said while smiling, "You see, many warriors do what they do out of duty but i do mine because i enjoy it. Order or no order, i'll smash your mouth here, regardless of the alliance."
   "Humph." Balog said as he turned his back on Solavan and began to walk away.
   "You know, we've gotten information that a Dreygar and a Stormwind survived the unknown slaughter." Balog said as he paused, "No one knows what killed the Dreygars but they were a troublesome bunch and if one of them is alive, then this could mean trouble for the task."
   "A Dreygar is alive? Now, I'm interested." Solavan said.
   "This task is one of the steps we are taking to fulfill in destroying Agaroth." Balog said, "No one has ever known you to fail. Mess this task up…"
   "And i will bathe this forest with your blood." Balog said as his eyes coldly rolls back at Solavan.
   "Hehehe. Keep running your mouth like that and i'll add you to my collections." Solavan said with a smirk as his glowing eyes rolls back at Balog.
    Balog immediately disappears like a warping gate and Solavan resumes staring at his collections while smiling.
   "What a fool." Solavan said.
   At the stands of the audience, the people watched as Dam stared down at Karma whose body was covered with black ice, leaving only her head exposed.  
  Karma's tyrus flames instantly destroyed the black ice while Dam hopped back to avoid being harmed from the destruction. 
   "She easily destroyed the ice when she couldn't do it before." Izaiya said within himself, "Has she finally gotten serious or she is still underestimating him?"
   Back at the arena as Karma stood on her feet, Karma and Dam stared at each other with their deadpan expressions.
   "I'll admit compared to the other lessers i have crushed, you are quite different." Karma said, "You are even better than that blue-eyed faker from the Ripar tribe."
   "Blue-eyed faker?" Cloud asked.
   "She's talking about me." Pit said.
  "However, you are still too weak." Karma said.
   "Of course. She always has to be herself" Izaiya said within himself.
  "Starting right now, I'm going to play with you a little more." Karma said as she was tapping her feet on the ground repeatedly, "On the count of 1… 2….3…"
   In a flash, Karma appears behind Dam, standing back to back with him and attacks with her elbow but Dam quickly counters by colliding his elbow with hers, creating a shockwave wind pressure in the arena.
   "So fast!!" Pit said within herself with her panora activated.
   "Hoh?" Karma said as her eyes rolls back at Dam.
    As the duo stood back to back with one  another, Dam and Karma suddenly appeared far from each other and they dashed towards themselves and collided fists that sent another shockwave.
   Karma and Dam began to block and evade their attacks while moving with an incredible speed and creating numerous shockwaves in the act. During their exchange, Dam tries to punch Karma but Karma grabs hold of his wrist, trips him to the ground with a leg sweep and lands an elbow drop which Dam quickly moves out of the way to evade, leaving Karma's attack to crack the ground; Dam quickly stood on his feet but Karma appears behind him in preparation to attack with a fire blast from her mouth only for Dam to quickly counters with a high back kick to her chin that sent her high in the air.  
   "Dark fist." Dam said as he quickly twirled his body and created a gigantic black ice fist that stretched itself to hit Karma at a rapid speed.
    Karma easily evades the fast approaching fist in a spinning motion and throws a powerful flame blast with both palms of her hands which Dam leaps back to evade. Karma suddenly appeared behind Dam and strikes with a roundhouse kick but Dam vanished from the spot and appeared a bit far from Karma.
    "That boy is extremely impressive." Chief Miza said within herself while smirking.
    At the arena, Karma calmly walks towards Dam and tries to grab hold of him but Dam quickly performs a standing arm lock from behind, however as the arm lock was set in, Dam took notice of Karma's arm overpowering his hold with ease.
   Karma immediately breaks loose from the arm lock which sent Dam in mid air and quickly strikes with a straight kick to his belly that sent Dam rolling back.
    The audience became shocked as they watched Dam on one knee, clutching his belly and coughing while Karma stared with a emotionless demeanor.
     "Her speed… She increased it." Pit said.
     "Hm?" Cloud said as he turned towards Pit.
     "When Karma broke out of Dam's hold, she immediately moved faster than before, allowing her to land a hit on Dam." Pit replied as she recalls Karma's straight kick on Dam's belly.
    "She is trying to play mind games with him." Govo said, "Even though its impossible to get into Dam's head but why am i starting to have a terrible feeling about this match?"
     Back at the arena, Karma began to walk calmly towards Dam again and immediately tries to grab hold of him, only to find herself covered in black ice before her hand could reach him. However, this barely made a difference as Karma easily and immediately broke through the ice and still grabbed hold of Dam by his collar, but suddenly found herself laying on the ground.
   "Hoh?" Karma said while laying on the ground.
    Karma immediately rose to the ground with no support and began to walk towards Dam calmly again. Karma tries to grab hold of Dam again but Dam instantly grabs her arm and flips her to ground.
    "Hmmm." Karma said while laying on the ground.
    Karma once again to the ground with no support and began to walk towards Dam but Dam quickly sends a flood of black ice to overtake Karma, only for Karma to easily stop it with one hand and shatter it with an effortless push, leaving so many in shock.
    "What?!" Raen and Yulin said within themselves.
    "She destroyed that large amount of ice with just a push?" Yagura asked within herself.
    As Karma was still walking towards Dam calmly, Karma quickly grabs hold of a large black ice spike that sprung out of the ground and easily shatters it by tightening her grip. 
    "Sordiku." Dam said as he stretched forth his arm and created countless large black ice spikes behind him and sends them towards Karma at an alarming speed.
    "Dispersia." Karma said as she stretched forth her index finger and released a powerful flame blast that instantly destroyed Dam's sordiku.
    Dam immediately creates an large black wall but Karma's dispersia attack made contact with Dam's black wall and created a large explosion. As the smoke cleared, the audience eyes widened as they spotted a large rift on the ground along with Dam laying on it.
   "What the…?"
   "Just from her finger…"
   "Is he still alive?"
    "I know she is a Dreygar but what the heck?"
    "Dam…" Yagura said with widened eyes.
    "Would you look at that, everyone! Karma has just shown why she is a Dreygar by putting Dam down!!" Lizira said, "Could this be the end of the match?!"
    Silence filled the place as Karma observed Dam's seemingly lifeless body on the ground.
  "So this is the power of the S ranked candidate." Dam said, "Not bad."
    Many people became stunned with Dam's sudden response and Dam suddenly rose up to the ground.
    "I've got to say, you really are a cumbersome person." Dam said as he was dusting himself.
    "Big brother…?" Meeno said within himself.
    A troublesome presence filled the arena as Dam was oozing out a frightening black aura that was corrupting the ground.
    "This feeling is far more menacing than when Dam fought Meeno!" Killer bee said within herself.
    "I'm going to go hard now. Can you keep up?" Dam asked as the Kenar blue markings on his body turned black and spread up to his glowing irises .
   "Or are you going to crumble?" Dam asked as he stood back to back with Karma.
   Karma immediately tries to attack Dam but Dam grabs hold of her wrist, tossed her to his front and strikes her jaw with a backhand that made her hop back. Karma quickly tries to attack with a flame blast from her hands but the flames disappears and her arms turned grey in color, rendering her arms useless in the battle; despite the state of Karma's arms, Karma wastes no time in attempting to blast from her mouth but Dam showed up in her front, clamped his black aura-filled hand round her mouth and slammed her head on the ground.
     The audience were filled with awe and disbelief with the display of Dam which led some of them to murmur among themselves.
   "Woah! What in the world?!"
   "A Kenar is doing this to a Dreygar?!"
   "This is just like Nydan and Kyo!"
   "That boy might be the strongest Kenar among his peers!"
   "Woah! Dam is amazing!" Killer bee said.
   "Yes, he is extremely strong." Sting said.
  "Still, the question is can he win?" Cloud asked.
  "Hm?" Rish said as he glimpsed at Cloud.
   Back at the field, Dam walked towards Karma (who happened to be on her knees) and was staring down at her.
   "Destroy it." Dam said, "Destroy what i placed on your arms and stand. How long do you intend to play this stupid game of yours?"
   Karma stood on her feet and stared at Dam with an emotionless demeanor and to the shock of many, Karma easily lifts her paralyzed arms and destroys the grey coverings with her tyrus flames.
   "You're a smart one, aren't you?" Karma asked, "Anyway, i've gotten what i wanted from you."
  "So it's time to put an end to this fight." Karma said with a heavy voice as she was emitting a black red aura.
   "Yes, let's end this." Dam said while discharging his black aura.
