Chapter 89: Standards

 Intensity filled the environment at the time Juni and Bleid locked eyes with each other and as this happened, Bleid bursts out with a thunderous laughter which increased the scowl on Juni's face.
 "You amuse me, Juni! You truly do!" Bleid said, "First your form, and now this. My interest in you grows bigger and bigger.
 Ever since i fought you, the music keeps changing and changing, and makes me crazy!"
 Bleid laughed out again and pints at Juni with a smile.
 "I like you. Become my friend." Bleid said.
 "Huh?" Juni said in confusion.
 "Unfortunately that's not possible." Bleid said as he brought down his arm, "We are of two different races and you humans have taken a lot from us. Humans are maggots and you need to die, but since i can't kill you, I'll just have to hurt you harder until you pass out.
 Starting right now i am going to be a little serious. So let us-"
 "Begin." Bleid said with a deepened voice as he appeared behind Juni.
 Bleid struck with a quick jab but Juni ducks beforehand, leaving his fist to send a strong wind pressure.
 "Humph." Juni said as her eyes rolls back at Bleid.
 Juni quickly balanced on one hand and performs a high back kick but Bleid moves his head back to evade and in a blink of an eye, Juni popped in the air and lands a 540 kick which Bleid blocks but ends up creating a mild shockwave in the act. Juni gets down on her feet and hurried towards Bleid and began to dish out a torrent of punches that Bleid was blocking and evading; Bleid throws a punch at Juni which she quickly parries and throws a punch of her own but Bleid evades the attack.
 As the two were thwarting and avoiding each others attacks, they ended up punching each other on the face at the same but Juni pushed Bleid back with a kick to his midsection. Juni creates multiple green glowing ice shards and sends them towards Bleid at a rapid speed but Bleid evades them all and sprints at her direction, however, before he could get close to her, he instinctively avoids something that moved rapidly from behind which turned out to be one of the glowing shards as it was pinned in front of Juni, leaving Bleid in shock.
 "Huh?" Bleid said as he glanced back and sights all the shards he avoided rising and levitating in the air.
 The shards moved in the direction of Bleid in a rapid motion and Juni instantly kicks Bleid towards them, but Bleid generates a strong amount of green bolts that destroyed all the shards as they come close to him; nevertheless, as this had happened, Juni struck with a mighty punch to Bleid's cheek, but Bleid quickly responds with a punch of his own, thus pushing them back and while they were in motion, Juni grits her teeth while Bleid grins at her.
 Meanwhile as the two were battling, Daeko and the other hivelings tasked with observation were discussing with each other concerning.
 "So what do you think about that odd power, earlier?" Rhan asked the group, "It definitely wasn't Bleid's and i can't help but wonder what that nuthouse has done this time."
 "At this point, i don't think there is anything he could do that will surprise me." The hiveling male with the blue mohawk said.
 "Whatever you say, Rokan." Rhan said to the hiveling with the blue mohawk.
 "That power was Juni's." Daeko said.
 "Juni? You mean that human with the short lifespan has that type of power?" Rhan asked with an expression filled with uncertainty, " Are you trying to tell me that she is that strong?"
 "No, she wasn't before. Something must have happened to push her to that level." Daeko replied.
 "Whatever it is, it must surely be the work of Bleid." Rhan said.
 "Can you stop complaining, Rhan?" The hiveling with the dark-green hair asked, "I am as angry as you are with what Bleid has done but complaining isn't going to make anything better."
 "At least it will help me get a lot of things out of my chest, Lumis!" Rhan said to the dark-green haired hiveling, "That guy is just a moron who thinks about nothing but violence!"
 "But isn't that what you wanted?" Daeko asked.
 At the moment Daeko asked this question, Zeinora glanced at him while the other hivelings stared at him in confusion.
 "Huh? What are you talking about?" Rhan asked.
 "When Bleid was a non violent person, you all resented him and thought of him as dead weight. Now he is violent, you all resent him for it." Daeko said.
 "We only wanted him to stop whining and start fighting!" Rhan said, "We didn't ask him to become a violent nuthouse that uses music to experiment death and destruction!"
 "Not everyone can live up to the standards set for them. Not everyone can meet the expectations of others." Daeko said.
 "There are three sets of people in the world of the warriors: those that can't live up to the standards set. Those that can live up to them. And those that surpassed the standards." Daeko said during the time Juni froze up numerous rocks and shattered trees that were in the air and directed them at Bleid, but Bleid destroyed them all by sending a green bolt with a flick of his fingers.
 Bleid grins at Juni and the two raced towards each other and collides their fists which created a shockwave and broke the ground in the act.
 'Those that are unable to live up to the standards are considered weak. Those that are able to, are considered strong. While those that are capable of surpassing the standards are considered as elites and monsters.'
 "That is how it has always been, and that is how it will continue to be." Daeko said, "A standard was set for Bleid's violence, but because he surpassed the standards and became what none of you expected, you all resent him."
 "That doesn't excuse his madness!" Rhan said to Daeko, "One task! One task to do: Steel up and become stronger. He became... I don't even know what he is!"
 "It's just as i said before: a standard was set by all of you but he surpassed them." Daeko said, "As for his mind, it's not hard for me to understand his insanity. The race i came from, there are a lot of unwell people there, and the funny part is that most of those psychos are quite strong. What happened? Why are they the way they are?
 It's simple. They looked into the abyss. Every warrior born into this world has their own abyss to face."
 "Some face their abyss in the battlefield. Some face theirs in their own homes." Daeko said as Bleid chokeslams Juni on the ground with the aid of his shellshock, which ended up creating craters but Juni quickly turns the attack into a triangle hold.
 'Hell is inescapable for a warrior and it tends to leave its stain. Only a few have faced their hells and came out untouched; only a few have faced their hells and came out better.
 A lot of warriors especially the strong ones are stained by the abyss.'
 "The sad reality of the warrior world." Daeko said, "And that will always be the reality we all have to face."
 

  Sorry if this chapter seems short. I was having several glitches and because of that, i was forced to cut it short.
