While Karma leered at the body of Cloud laying lifelessly on the ground, she also paid attention to the smoke oozing out of the large hole on his chest.
"You don't get to die, not yet. Not until i have gotten what i wanted." Karma said within.
Karma stretched forth her hand and it glowed red, creating a red glowing outline around Cloud and healing him of his wound.
"I can still feel it. The feeling of fear and despair has sat on him... Just like everyone i have broken, and it is growing. Of all my preys, you were the strongest yet the weakest.
You have so much at your feet yet you run from it; you have this amount of power but you still choose to be frail. You can't even protect your own sister because of your morality and the price for your morality will be great. But... I have no interest in your sister. She serves only as leverage to keep you in this fight. As long as you believe she is in danger, you will fight to protect her and that's all i need, and as you keep fighting, the speed of my salamanders understanding will increase; once they are done, i will take your place.
Because you run from your own power, i will take it from you. What you reject, i accept. No matter how long it takes, no matter how much you resist, there is no escape. Until then i will just keep breaking and healing you even when you are at the point of death.
I will become the strongest and do what you don't have the stomach to do."
While Karma was healing Cloud, a slight smile crept upon the elder great sage's face, meanwhile in the pocket realm as Cloud laid on his front and placed his hand on his chest, Cloud had a memory of the time Karma moved up close to his face.
"Is that all... Lesser?" Karma asked.
With a flick of her finger, Karma blew a hole on his chest, leaving red flames burning within the circles of his internals.
Cloud's breathing became heavy after the remembering that moment and he clutched his chest hard.
"Are you done?" A feminine voice asked.
Cloud raised his head and saw the person to be Karma who was staring down with both arms crossed.
"Let us continue." Karma said.
At that moment, Cloud's hands shook and his eyes were filled with fear.
In the blue leafed pocket realm as multiple hiveling bodies laid on the ground, Killer bee held an unconscious hiveling female by the collar and tossed her aside.
"After everything, we have gotten nothing... Nothing at all." Killer bee said within, "How am i supposed to get to Cloud if i can't..."
In that moment, Killer bee remembered Cloud's face and bent her head down.
"No. I can't waver. Not now." Killer bee said within, "If i am to save Cloud from Karma then i must try harder. I must."
Back at the pocket realm where Karma and Cloud dwelt, Cloud rolled backwards rapidly until his back bumped hard against a big tree. Cloud panted and fell on one knee while Karma gazed at him with her arms crossed.
"To think i was willing to acknowledge you... To look at you from a different light and give you my respect... No, you don't deserve it." Karma said, "You make me sick in the belly and i cannot stand you."
Cloud's legs shook but as soon as he took a step forward, he was beheaded by an unknown attack; the startled Cloud touched his neck and realized it was only an illusion. For a while Cloud became reluctant on his next action but as soon as he took another step forward, his body was immediately split in half only for it to be another illusion. Cloud's breathing became heavy as he started seeing different scenarios of himself dying brutally.
