Chapter 95: Checkmate.

    Multiple explosion occured in the grey-leafed forest as energy beams were being thrown around. During that time, Ziron was flying across the forest with a glowing blue outline and as he turned back, a gigantic Dahmu appeared in his front with numerous fists approaching him.
   "Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu!" Dahmu said as he hurls his fists at Ziron at a blinding speed.
   Each punch thrown by Dahmu were fast and strong enough to create holes in the clouds of the pocket realm but Ziron evades them all and quickly sent a crescent aura wave to slice Dahmu's head in half, but Dahmu easily and immediately regenerates his head.
  "Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu!" Dahmu said as he resumes trying to strike Ziron.
   Ziron still evades all of his attacks and dashed towards Izaiya but before Ziron could reach Izaiya, Obaru (in his black steel Speed mode) tackled Ziron, causing them to crash through trees and tumble violently on the ground. Ziron and Obaru hastily stood on their feet but just as Obaru was about to head down to Ziron, Ziron fired an air-shot from his three fingers that shattered Obaru's armour and made him roll back.
   Obaru leveled himself but was immediately met with a flying knee to the face by Ziron which made him drop flat on his back.
    "Light covering!" Ziron said within as he stretched forth his palm and covers Obaru with his aura, thus immobilizing him.
   "Die!" Ziron said as he stretched forth his other palm and began to charge a concentrated blue beam.
  However, Ziron noticed his inability to move and found himself coated with a white outline.
  "Hm?" Ziron said inwardly in puzzlement.
  Ziron's eyes managed to catch sight of a group of humans with their arms stretched forth while emitting their respective auras as their irises glowed.
  "Such strength…!" A Tenplar male among them said as he was struggling to maintain his stance.
   "Keep him down! Do not waver!" A Ripar female among them said.
   "I see…. The unison hold." Ziron said within, "A skill that involves the harmonizing of energy between two or more for a moment in order to achieve a goal. To think they would use the knowledge they were taught in the academy at a time like this, but regardless such a skill…"
   "Is useless before me!" Ziron said as easily breaks free and creates a wave that threw them to the ground in the act.
  Ziron was caught off guard as Obaru quickly locked his arms around his belly from behind.
  "Obaru style: Si'simola!!" Obaru said as he performed a german suplex with an astonishing speed that created large craters on the ground.
   Obaru quickly activates his black steel form and lands a huge punch on Ziron's face that devastated the ground further.
   "Obaru style: Obaru rush!" Obaru said within as his eyes glowed brighter.
   Obaru unleashed a series of vicious punches on Ziron's face while yelling but it was cut short as Ziron released a powerful air eruption that sent Obaru away.
   "So annoying…!" Ziron said in irritation as he made efforts to stand on his feet.
   "Dahmu!" Dahmu's voice sounded as he lands a downward punch on Ziron with his gigantic fist and buried him face-first into the ground.
  "Dahmu....! Dahmu...!" Dahmu said as he lands two downward punches on Ziron.
  "Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu!" Dahmu said as he unleashed a barrage of murderous downward punches on Ziron.
    Ziron's eyes glowed in fury as he yelled greatly and released a powerful air eruption that cut off all of Dahmu's arms at once and in a blink of an eye, Izaiya soared down the direction of Izaiya.
   "Greater push!" Ziron said as he stretched forth his hand.
   Ziron attack hit an invisible barrier while destroying the ground behind Izaiya, leaving Ziron both confused and shocked. A speeding object knocked Ziron aside and made him tumble for a moment as he steadied himself; Ziron raised his head and saw an extremely bulky black steel Obaru standing a bit far from him.
  "Obaru … Is fat?" Ziron asked internally with a raised brow.
   "Hmm." Izaiya said inwardly.
  "You like it? This is one of my best modes." Obaru said with a smirk, "Unlike the other modes i gave names such as speed and power, i would have called this mode cannon mode, but that would be too boring, so i came up with an amazing name for this mode and i call it…"
   "Fatboy jum-jum steel mode!" Obaru smugly said with a grin as he points at himself.
   "Huh?" Ziron and Izaiya said with a wtf face.
  "Dahmu?" Dahmu said in confusion.
  "Fatboy jum-jum steel mode? That is the best he could come up with?" Izaiya asked within as he facepalms himself, "How does Idjra even put up with him? Jum-jum is not even a word in the common tongue or any other tongue!"
  "It has been confirmed: Obaru is the dumbest man alive." Ziron said internally.
  "Save me, ancestors. Don't let me die beside this moron." Izaiya said within.
   "Aw. Look at them. They are in absolute disbelief with the name i came up with." Obaru said within himself while smiling, "The faces they made shows how awesome the name is. I really am amazing."
  "These two are annoying." Ziron said within.
  "Obaru, an overconfident idiot who believes his own hype." Ziron said within as he sight shifts to Obaru.
   "And Izaiya, a smug bastard who can't stand his ground without that annoying imbecile that acts like his bodyguard." Ziron said within as he shifts his gaze towards Izaiya, "The others aren't a problem at all; they couldn't even keep up. These two are the only ones getting on my nerves in this fight."
   "Earlier…" Ziron said within as he recalls the moment he used greater push to attack Izaiya.
  "The attack seemed to have struck an invisible barrier… Why?" Ziron asked inwardly after the remembrance, "What is he hiding? What is his secret? Well, whatever it is, i will find out and i will kill him, just like i am going to kill every human in this realm."
   Ziron swiftly slams his palms on the ground and sent a great wave that swept across the ground but Obaru leaps in the air to avoid the attack while Izaiya nonchalantly stood still as the wave hit the barrier again. Obaru curled himself like a ball while he was in midair and wheeled down towards Ziron but Ziron hops back to evade and ascends high into the air.
   "Dahmu!" Dahmu said as he drove his fist down to crush Ziron, but Ziron instinctively moved backwards to avoid it.
   "Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu!" Dahmu said as he repeatedly tried to crush Ziron but Ziron avoids every last one.
   Ziron flew down towards Izaiya and threw an air sphere from his palm to strike down Izaiya, but the attack hit the barrier again. While Ziron was heading down to Izaiya, Ziron takes notice of Obaru wheeling towards him from behind which made Ziron smirk; Ziron quickly deviates, leaving Obaru to head straight to Izaiya only to be knocked away by with a swift slap by Dahmu.
    Ziron (who happened to pitching in the air) stretched forward his right hand.
   "Crush." Ziron said.
In an instant, the ground Izaiya and Dahmu stood leveled massively but it had no impact on the duo, upsetting Ziron even further. Izaiya smirks at Ziron but before Ziron could do anything, a wheeling Obaru bulldozed Ziron from behind and drove him straight to the ground, creating a large there. A beam of air shot out of the hole and threw Obaru away and Ziron took off into the air.
   "Dahmu!" Dahmu said as he smashed Ziron into the ground with a hammer-fist.
   "Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu!" Dahmu said as he pounds Ziron repeatedly with a hammer-fist.
  After Dahmu had finished pounding Ziron, Dahmu picks up Ziron and tossed him into the air.
  "Dahmu!" Dahmu said as he lands on uppercut with his gigantic fist on Ziron's back, sending him higher in the air whilst increasing the velocity.
   In anger, Ziron growls as his eyes glowed and all of Dahmu's body was cut into pieces. Ziron rushed down to Izaiya, grabs him by the face and was crashing through obstacles while flying and using Izaiya's back to create rifts on the ground. Ziron finally stops in his tracks and unleashed a violent torrent of punches on Izaiya's face.
  In the middle of Ziron punching  Izaiya, Izaiya disintegrated into atoms of green light, leaving Ziron's fist to break the ground.
   "What the…?!" Ziron said as he jolts back in shock.
   "Wow. You actually fell for it." Izaiya's voice sounded.
   Rapid footsteps approached Ziron and as Ziron turned back, Izaiya lands a thunderous punch on the cheek of Ziron with his aura-engulfed fist, thus making Ziron roll and crash back-first on a tree.
   Ziron fell flat on his face while Izaiya stood panting for air.
   "You actually fell for the soul-clone i created. I didn't believe it will work, but here we are." Izaiya said.
   Izaiya fell on one knee out of exhaustion and brought out a blue potion to drink. Done with drinking, Izaiya (who was still exhausted) returned his attention to Ziron as he stood back on his feet.
   "I was able to use my soul body manifestation to create a clone of myself while using Dahmu to attack; though my soul body manifestation allows me to create one clone of my soul, i took a huge risk in creating two and it turned out perfectly." Izaiya said.
   "A soul-clone? Was the person i was fighting earlier a clone all along or did Izaiya switch with him, and if he did, when?" Ziron asked within, "Doing something like this has placed a huge strain on his body; he chose to go over his limits, but why? What does he hope to accomplish now the both of us are alone in the state he is in? And…"
   "Why has he not recovered?" Ziron asked within as Izaiya was still panting, "Earlier when he took out a potion and drank, i assumed that the potion was to help him in his recovery but it didn't, so what was it for? What did he drink it for?
   What are you planning, Izaiya?"
  "You know, i got to say, watching you get all angry and confused was amusing to watch." The exhausted Izaiya said with a faint smile, "Though you were moving faster than what my eyes could see, i was able to predict where you will strike, all thanks to Dahmu and the limited attack patterns presented."
   "You really are a pain." Ziron said, "I knew we should have gotten rid of you before this game began. If we had disposed of you, you wouldn't have been able to give the message across the pocket realms of telling the other humans to fight with everything they've got."
   "That's the thing, i wasn't the one that gave the message." Izaiya said.
  Hearing the revelation from Izaiya's mouth, Ziron's irises glowed in shock.
   "What? What the hell are you talking about?" Ziron asked, "The person that gave the message was you. It was your voice."
   The stare from Izaiya furtherly increased the confused state of Ziron.
   "Is he telling the truth? If he wasn't the one that gave the message then who did?" Ziron asked within, "It clearly was his voice everyone heard. No, he is clearly lying. He has to be."
   "He doesn't believe me. Well i don't expect him to." Izaiya said within, "No one would. I too was surprised when i heard my voice in this realm; i wonder who the person is and motive behind it.
    Was the person a friend or a foe? If the person was a foe, then what was the reason for telling us to use everything we've got in order to survive? There is so much going on right now for me to wrap my head around, but for now i need to focus on Ziron if i am to win; it will only take a few minutes."
   "Dahmu." Izaiya called with a deepened voice.
   Dahmu appears behind Izaiya in his normal size and Ziron and Izaiya stared at each other for a while until Izaiya's irises glowed.
  "Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu! Dahmu!" Dahmu said as he immediately elongated his arms and delivers a storm of punches.
   However, Ziron easily evades every last one while observing the exhausted Izaiya. 
   "He's drained. As he is right now, he is pushing himself to continue, plus Dahmu's attacks are far slower than before." Ziron said within while still dodging all of Dahmu's rapid strikes, "In using his soul body manifestation to create two soul clones, he limited Dahmu's capabilities. I thought you were smart, Izaiya, but you turned out to be a fool."
    Ziron's irises glowed and all of Dahmu's arms popped like a balloon and within that moment, Ziron created a shimmering orb air ball on his right palm.
   "Now!" Izaiya shouted.
  In a haste, Dahmu regenerates his arms and enlarged them with having green lights swirling around.   
  "Dahmu!" Dahmu said as he collided his palms at the moment Ziron threw the shimmering air ball which resulted to a large green explosion.
   Albeit, Ziron pinned Izaiya to the ground with one hand wrapped round the throat, showing to be unaffected by what happened.
   "Is that it? Is this all you can do?" Ziron asked, "After all your talk and actions, this is the result? You strained your body and did all those things for this? I thought you were supposed to be one of the smartest in the academy?"
   In the process of talking, a finger taps Ziron's shoulder repeatedly from behind and as Ziron turned back, he was immediately punched in the face and sent flying towards a tree. Ziron slowly slid down to his knees and quickly raised his head in anger, seeing the person to be black steel Obaru (normal mode).
   "You…!!!" Ziron said as he grits his teeth while his irises glowed.
  "Missed me?" Obaru asked with a smug smirk, "Don't worry…"
   Obaru launched himself in direction to Ziron with his fist in position to attack.
   "Because i'm going to-!"
   "Air quake." Ziron said.
  Obaru found himself frozen in one place while trembling rapidly (just like chapter 94) and a beam of air pierced his side and shattered his armor. The air quake wore off and Obaru instantly coughed out blood and fell flat on his face.
   "So annoying." Ziron said.
   Ziron walks towards Obaru and stared down at him with a scowl.
  "You're so annoying!" Ziron said as he stomped the back of Obaru's head.
   "You're annoying! You're annoying! You are so damn annoying!!" Ziron said as he stomped the back of Obaru's head repeatedly, "You humans are so annoying! Always talking tough but can't even back it up! Always acting holy but you can't even see you are the opposite of what you are! So worthless! So evil! Yet you talked about me being exactly like the humans i hate! I am nothing like you filths! I am doing what i must to eradicate diseases like you!!"
   "You, Enida and the other humans can burn in hell!!!" Ziron said as he kicked Obaru away and sent him sliding headfirst to a tree.
   After Ziron had finished his vicious assault on Obaru's head, Obaru's right hand twitched on the ground while Izaiya's was glaring at the actions of Ziron. Ziron raised his head to gaze at the sky and slightly grinned in a cold manner.
   "Heh. I wonder where the other humans are; those that tried to assist in this fight." Ziron said within, "Well it doesn't matter where they are, because in the end they will all die like the dogs and diseases they are."
   Ziron's vision began to blur, causing him to slightly step back and groan a little.
    "Hey!" A feminine voice sounded.
   Ziron turned back and he was immediately punched in the face, causing him to stagger backwards. Ziron regained himself and took notice of his attacker to be Idjra which left him slightly surprised.
   "Idjra…?! So you have finally arrived." Ziron said with a smile, "Came to join your friend Obaru? Well you are just in time because-"
   A small headache struck Ziron and his vision began to blur, making him to step back and groan a bit and as Ziron opened his eyes, Idjra showed up in his front and swung her fist on his face, causing him to stagger back; Idjra sprints in the direction of Ziron and hurls another punch at Ziron, causing him to step back to avoid the attack but as her fist was in motion, Idjra quickly crouched which left Ziron shocked and vulnerable.
   "A feint?!" Ziron asked within.
   Before Ziron could do anything, his vision blurred again for a while and Idjra struck with a heel kick to his temple.
   "A feint to deliver a kick…?!" Ziron said within as the kick had connected.
   Ziron staggered to a tree and lean against it with his arm while using the other to attack with an air blast but Idjra appeared before him and parries before a move could fully be made; Idjra used her elbow to strike with an uppercut to the jaw of Ziron and followed her attack with a punch to his side that made Ziron cough out spittle. Idjra bombarded Ziron's face and body with punches and finalized everything with a savate to his abdomen, making him roll back and crash through several trees.
   Ziron clutched his belly in pain while making struggles to stand but as he was struggling, Ziron coughed out more spittle and fell on his knees.
   "Her hits…! They are heavier than before!" Ziron said within, "Idjra never used to hit this hard! Could she be using her kan ability of faithful soul to increase the power of her attacks? 
   Something isn't right, here…"
   Ziron raised his head and his vision began to blur again but as it cleared, he caught sight of Idjra walking in his direction with a vengeful scowl.
   "My sight seems to be a mess and on top of it, i can feel myself getting weaker." Ziron said within, "What is going on? What the heck is happening to me?"
   Meanwhile as Izaiya sat up, a smile crept across his face.
   "Heh." Izaiya said.
