A flashback occurs as Gorg and Marida were discussing outside their house with a tall, long bearded man whose hair had the mixture of black and white in color.
"I'm sorry." The man said while facing the ground with a saddened demeanor, "There is nothing that can be done."
"What are you saying?" Marida asked with a wide-eyed expression, "That you are unable to cure my son? But that's impossible... You're the best healer of our tribe. Y-you have to... You..."
"I'm sorry, i can't." The man said, "The disease... I've dealt with this type of disease before and his... His isn't a mild type but an extremely aggressive one.
He... If i'm to give you the number of days he has left, I'd say three. He has only three days left before he departs from this life. I'm sorry."
Hearing this, the heartbroken Marida drops to her knees and began to sob while covering her face.
"I know fate has been hard on you but..."
The healer halts and resumes staring at the ground with a saddened demeanor. While Marida was grieving, Gorg squats and placed his hand on her back while carrying a saddened expression as well.
"Thank you, Nostra, for your service." Gorg said as he raised his head to look at Nostra, "I'll be sure to pay your money in full."
"No, keep your money." Nostra said as he hands over a bag of coins to Gorg, "I can't say i'm worthy of this pay if i can't save the life of my friend's son.
I'm so sorry i failed you."
"Don't be hard on yourself, you did your best." Gorg said, "You can go now."
Nostra nods his head in response and turned his back to leave.
"Why..? Why does this keep happening...?" Marida asked while facing the ground, "All my children... My first three children all died in my womb. None of them even got the chance to breathe the air of the Earth. This one has finally gotten the chance to breathe but yet he... He..."
"This is not fair." Marida said as she quickly resumes sobbing, "There were so many things we have planned for him... We haven't even gotten the chance to perform a naming ceremony for him. I can't do this, Gorg. I can't go through the pain of losing another child."
Hearing this, Gorg embraces his wife from behind while carrying a saddened demeanor on his face.
Minutes later as Marida was sitting alone in the house, looking at her brown haired baby, Marida's saddened demeanor quickly changes to a firm one.
"I wil save my child even if i have to make a deal with the devil to do it." Marida said within herself.
"There you have it, folks! The first half is over!!" Trengal's voice echoed in the court.
The crowd instantly let out a massive roar after his announcement which made Trengal smirk.
"This first half has been a blast." Trengal said, "We've seen a lot of things this first half and witnessed unimaginable battles..."
"Some incredible warriors." Trengal said as he recalls the faces of Pit and Govo.
"Some batsh*t crazy warriors." Trengal said as he recalls the faces of Van and Onak.
"We witnessed an emotional battle against the odds." Trengal said as he recalls the faces of Killer bee and Karma.
"And an intense battle of classes and status." Trengal said as he recalls the faces of Xorian and Jagami.
"We even got to witness a great battle between light and darkness!" Trengal said as he recalls the faces of Gorn and Sting, "Poor Gorn. That was the most one sided fight i've ever seen."
Some of the audience chuckled at what Trengal said while Raen was glaring down at the stage with her arms crossed.
"And finally, in this first half, we got to see a fight for truth and redemption." Trengal said as he recalls the faces of Meeno and Dam.
"This first half has really been a wonderful experience and i personally cannot wait to see what kind of battle the second half will hold for us, down to the semi finals and finals!" Trengal said while smiling, "Thank you all for coming to witness this half and stay on the alert as we take a huge break!"
The audience cheered once more after Trengal gave his speech and Trengal bowed himself before the audience. Meanwhile in medical room, Xorian still laid on his bed unconscious.
"Master Guju, please don't go." Xorian said.
"Guju!!" Xorian called as he suddenly sat up on his bed.
As Xorian was still sitting on his bed, he quickly took notice of the white gown he was wearing.
"What in the...? What the hell am i wearing?" Xorian asked within himself, "Where am i exactly?"
"Hey." A feminine voice said.
Xorian quickly turned to his side and sees the person to be Jagami who happened to be wearing the same white gown and a sitting on a chair.
"Welcome back, sleepyhead." Jagami said.
At the men's restroom, Cloud was staring at his reflection in a mirror.
"Man, this first half was really interesting." Cloud said within himself, "Very soon, the second half will begin after our huge break and then the semi finals... Where i will finally fight in and if i succeed, i'll get to participate in the final round.
The only thing is... I'm not sure if i can make it to the final round; i'm not even sure if i can make it at all. With the level of power these guys have, it's like i'm going over there to commit suicide."
Thinking about this, Cloud moans in frustration and sits on the ground.
"Man, i'm way over my head." Cloud said within himself, "What if i meet Sting or Xorian at the semi finals or even Pit?! She can just use her eyes to read my soul to see my next movement and copy it; not to mention, she is capable of using a move two times better than the owner.
Or worse, what if i encounter Karma, Onak or Dam at the semi finals?! Oh man! Oh man! Oh man! I really am screwed!"
Cloud quickly recalls his younger self sitting and discussing with his parents outside their house.
"I'll be the first ever Stormwind to become a Pilgrim and from there, i'll become the greatest warrior that has ever lived!" Cloud said while smiling with his eyes closed.
Cloud also recalls the unknown slaughter of his tribe which led him to sigh.
"I guess i got no choice, huh?" Cloud asked within himself.
Cloud quickly stood on his feet and began to dust himself.
"Anyway, let me just go and master a-"
Cloud suddenly felt an immense pain in his body which made him groan and fall on his knees. As Cloud was still in pain, Cloud quickly removes the clothes on his hands and sees the omega mark on his palms, spreading down to his forearms
"What the...?" Cloud said.
As the markings had finally stopped at his forearms, the markings quickly turned white and began to glow.
"So your dormant powers are still at it's awakening state." A masculine voice said.
Cloud quickly turned and sees the person to be a bearded panda dressed in a brown changshan and a conical hat.
"Hello, young ruler." The panda said.
"Okay. I think i'm starting to go crazy now." Cloud said.
"You have a good sense of humor, i see..." The panda said as he chuckled.
"Wait a minute, you seem so familiar." Cloud said with a suspicious look, "Who are you?"
"I held you up in my arms when you were a baby and i was also responsible for your powers being dormant."
"My powers being dormant? But why?" Cloud asked.
"It was for your own good and for the good of others." The panda said.
"For my own good and for the good of others? What are you talking about?" Cloud asked with a confused demeanor, " Who are you?"
"I am one of the great sages of this new world and my name is Roku." The panda said, "It is a pleasure to meet you again, ruler of the end."
"This doesn't make any sense and wait... Ruler of the end... That's the second time i'm being called that." Cloud said.
"Yes, i learnt of your short stay with the lion Azel, who happened to be one of the sages as well." Roku said while smiling, "However, time is running out and i can't let his plans succeed."
Roku quickly moves towards Cloud and pokes his forehead which spawned a green light around Cloud, leaving Cloud in confusion at what is happening.
"It is done." Roku said as his irises glowed.
"Cloud... Cloud!" A feminine voice called.
Cloud suddenly wakes up from his trance and sees the person to be Karma who happened to be standing in his front with her arms crossed.
"Karma...? Where-"
Cloud suddenly hops back and screams in fright.
"What are you doing here?! This is supposed to be the male's restroom!!" Cloud said.
"And?" Karma asked.
"And?! You can't be here, there is a reason why it is called the male restroom!!" Cloud said.
"Relax. With your average height, i doubt there's anything special about what is in between your legs." Karma said.
This statement of Karma instantly left Cloud dumbfounded.
"Anyway, i came here to speak to you privately." Karma said, "Killer bee has gotten close to you within a short period of time while it took us a lot of time to even communicate with each other.
I wonder, what is your relationship with each other? Has Killer bee fallen for you or have you fallen for her?"
"Ok, i don't know what you are talking about but we are just friends." Cloud said, "Me encouraging her during her battle with you was because i couldn't sit there and watch her get humiliated like that. After all, what kind of friend would i be if i sat down and did nothing?"
"Anyway, if this is what you came to discuss with me then i think the discussion is over." Cloud said as he started walking to leave, "Good luck in the tournament, Ka-"
Karma suddenly blocks Cloud from leaving as she stretched out her arm and engulfed it with red flames.
"I don't know why Killer bee is trying to build a relationship with you and honestly, i don't care." Karma said while facing forward, "Focus on the tournament. You are my prey, nothing more, nothing less."
"Do i make myself clear?" Karma asked as her eyes coldly rolls towards Cloud.
"Crystal." Cloud said with a stern look as his eyes rolls towards Karma.
Karma dispersed the flames on her arm and brings it down for Cloud to pass. As Cloud walked past Karma, she received a disturbing feeling, prompting her to turn and look at Cloud as he made his way towards the door..
During this moment, Karma stared down at Cloud's shadow on the ground which momentarily shifted into that of a humanoid wolf with glowing blue eyes which left Karma shocked.
"What the...?" Karma asked within herself.
Watching from afar, the cloaked man took notice of Karma's face which left in him in wonder.
"That girl... Is she who i really think she is?" The cloaked man asked himself, "But that's not my concern. My main concern is what Roku did to that boy. Damn that Roku.
Him and the great sages have been thorn in my flesh but that doesn't matter, because in the end, i'll truly get to meet you face to face again..."
"Kiorra." The cloaked man said to himself in a darkened tone while grinning darkly.
Meanwhile, while walking on the Keigra's street, Trengal finally entered his home and sat in his chair. While sitting on his chair, Trengal quickly recalls a few moments ago as he was speaking with Chief Grai.
"Trengal, what was that you pulled off out there?" Chief Grai asked, "You introduced the Chiefs of the major tribes but didn't introduce those of the minor, not even your own Chief."
"I'm sorry, Chief Grai." Trengal said as he fearfully bowed his head, "You see, my throat was-"
"Excuses! That's what you always give because you yourself are one." Chief Grai cuts in, "Look at you, so pathetic. Your wife left you because you were unable to give her a child.
I saved you countless times from your debts and this is how you repay me? By humiliating me like that in the tournament. I can remember perfectly how you lost a duel in but if it wasn't me, you would have been dead."
A flashback occurs in the Keigra street as the crowd watched as Trengal was on his knees while a black haired man with a messy bang and a chin beard, held a sword at Trengal's throat.
"Hold!" A masculine voice said.
The man turns and sees the person to be Chief Grai.
"I understand that he lost the duel to you but i think there are times we need to show your opponents mercy, don't you think?" Chief Grai asked while smirking, "That's why i'll offer this: Trengal, if you want to survive then what you have to do is simple. Crawl underneath your victor.
Do it and i guarantee you that he'll spare your life. So tell me, what's it going to be?"
Trengal hesitantly sets himself on all fours and began to crawl.
"Wait!" The man said, "Bark."
"What?" Trengal asked in confusion.
"You heard me." The man said, "Bark as the dog you are while you're crawling under me."
At that moment, Trengal stared at the man with a pained look as his eyes were somewhat filled with tears.
After recalling that moment, Chief Grai smirked at Trengal.
"Anyway, the real reason why i called you here is to tell you that you have been removed from being the announcer of the tournament." Chief Grai said, "Hand over your equipments to the new announcer."
Trengal became shocked as a blonde woman walks towards Chief Grai and sits on his laps while smirking.
"Lizira..." Trengal said.
"Yes, your wife." Chief Grai said, "She came to me ever since she left you and we are going to get married. Why do you think i sent you to your little 'Investigation' into the major tribes? Rejoice Trengal! Your wife has found a true man and not half of one."
After recalling everything, Trengal knocked away the cup that was on his table in rage.
"Having problems?" A masculine voice asked.
"They are the same. They are all the same." Trengal said, "All because they have power, they feel they can do whatever they want and use it to bully those weaker than them. Both minor and major, they are all the same."
"So how was the tournament?" The masculine voice asked.
"It was interesting and i got to learn a lot of things." Trengal said, "The young ones there are extremely strong and i got to learn that a Dreygar and a Stormwind survived the unknown slaughter."
"A Dreygar and a Stormwind are still alive?" The masculine voice asked, "This is intriguing."
"Yeah, but the Stormwind boy is no threat." Trengal said, "It's not like you guys were responsible for their destruction anyway."
"No, we weren't, but still..." The masculine voice said.
"You know they say Agaroth was built not based on who was stronger but on unity instead, which turns out to be the greatest lie." Trengal said, "If Agaroth was built on unity then why are there major and minor tribes? Initially, i had doubts on what i was doing but not anymore. They act like they are holy, righteous and honorable but they are nothing but a hypocritical sh*tty nation with superiority complex."
"That's absolutely true." The masculine voice said.
"Though there is something that is bothering me, Cifer." Trengal said, "Agaroth is the strongest nation because of the kan they posses. Other warrior race have acquired kan but they still haven't defeated Agaroth.
Only a few dared to stand in the way such as the leader of the high goblin race, Zas the great butcher. The leader of the insectoid race, Rora. The last of the Slyne race who happens to now be leading the orc race, Jahax the devorer and the leader of the Moabian race, Zirus and Bills.
Tell me, what difference will it make now that your race has acquired kan?"
"Trengal, weren't we the race that once ruled all mortal races with an iron hand before Kan was discovered?" Cifer asked while still staying in the shadows, "Keep doing your work and we'll do ours. And don't worry..."
"We'll avenge our honor and yours. That's a promise." Cifer said as he stepped out of the shadows along with his irises glowing while smiling, revealing himself to be a grey humanoid with long hair, horns and black scleras
