Chapter 80: Trial And Error

  In the red leafed forest, the humans were speechless and were staring at Ghiga in disbelief concerning his display of power while the hivelings behind him smirked and began murmuring to one another.
  "He took her out with one hit!"
  "Of course he did! This is Ghiga, the walking calamity!"
   "There has barely been a time he hasn't laid waste to his opponents. Many of his enemies are no more."
   "I hope he doesn't use the 'Ghiga drop'. I still have nightmares from that event."
  During the time the hivelings were murmuring to one another, the humans were also murmuring as well.
   "Hey, did you see what he just did?"
   "Yeah, i can't believe it, myself. He took out Raen with one hit."
   "This is madness."
   "Pure madness."
  "One hit? Just one? Unbelievable!" Yulin said within, "Raen is one of the toughest and most talented people i know; her hits showed no effects and feeling his power…"
  At the moment Ghiga was still gazing at the humans, Yulin could feel the immense pressure radiating from him.
   "I guess he had every right to scold his unconscious comrade." Yulin said within.
   "Hey, Camina, this is what Xarafi couldn't do?" Ghiga asked while facing forward.
   Camina remains silent and crossed her arms with a scowl.
   "Anyway, go take out the other humans in this pocket realm." Ghiga said as he was walking towards Yulin and the humans, "I'll handle the ones here."
   As Ghiga closed some distance between him and the humans,  Yulin and the others quickly raised their fists in preparation for combat.
   "Get ready." A female Ripar among the humans said.
   Ghiga suddenly halts, stretched forth his palm and began to charge a swirling green ball of flames. The ball of flames immediately grew larger on Ghiga's palm and created a big fracture on the ground, thus leaving the humans startled. 
   The flaming ball began to increase at a rapid rate but as this was happening, Yulin instantly had a flashback of herself and Hyle walking together in the streets of Keigra.
   "So, when will you make your preparations?" Hyle asked, "You know, the pilgrim academy?"
   "Everything has already been prepared. I'll be taking my leave next week." Yulin answered, "Mother and father are excited and at the same time worried."
   "Of course they are, and they should be." Hyle said, "Being an elite warrior is a huge thing of honor but it is also a big situation of life and death."
   "Isn't that the routine of a warrior?" Yulin asked, "My father proved himself against the impossible and i want to carry it out too."
   "Is that why you keep messing with a lot of people?" Hyle asked with a raised eyebrow.
   "Well, i-"
  "YULIN!!!" An angry masculine voice called.
   Yulin and Hyle turns back and sees the person to be a fat Kenar man with a moustache and a bandana tied round his head who happened to be scowling with glowing irises.
   "Uh, what did you do this time?" Hyle asked Yulin.
   "You little bastard…! My son sold 3 large fishes to you and you paid with fake coins!!!" The fat Kenar man angrily said.
   "Where is your son? Does he have proof?" Yulin asked while smiling smugly with crossed arms.
   In that moment, a little Kenar boy stood beside the father and was glaring at Yulin.
    "Father, that's the girl!" The little boy said as he points at Yulin, "I sold those fishes to her and she gave me fake coins!"
   "They weren't fake. They were actually real coins." Yulin said while still smiling with crossed arms.
  "You gave my son bronze coins you painted silver and you are saying they weren't fake?!!" The man angrily asked.
   "What the heck?" Hyle said with a wtf face while Yulin was scratching her head and smiling nervously.
   "Well, you see…"
   "Yulin, i think now might be a good time to run." Hyle cuts in.
   "Yeah." Yulin replied.
    Yulin and Hyle swiftly ran off which fueled the man's anger as his irises glowing while he growled and was discharging a troublesome aura.
   "I don't care what anyone says! I'm going to find you and pound you so hard that you will never play another trick again… YULIN!!!!" The man shouted.
   Within a forest, Yulin and Hyle sat together and leaned their backs on a tree and at the moment it happened, Yulin bursts out in laughter.
   "Idiot." Hyle said as he hammer fists the crown of her head.
   "Ow! What was that for?" Yulin asked while rubbing her head with one eye closed.
   "You know what it was for." Hyle replied, "I mean, who the heck paints bronze coins silver?"
   "Well, it was a stunt i have wanted to try out for some time and it worked!" Yulin replied with a smile.
   Hyle stared at Yulin for a moment with a wtf face and with an eyebrow twitch which led him to facepalm himself and sigh.
   "You know, i still find it hard to believe i am related to you." Hyle said, "Of all people to be my cousin, it had be a public menace."
   "Hoh? And this is coming from the author himself?" Yulin asked with a sly smile.
   "That was last year!" Hyle replied as he gazed at Yulin, "I have left that life behind me!!"
   "You sure have!" Yulin said while smiling.
   Yulin bursts out in laughter again and Hyle sighs out of hopeleness and facepalms him again.
   "Why do i even bother?" Hyle  asked inwardly.
   For a while, Hyle gazed at the skies and smiled.
  "Hey, Yulin, have you thought of what to do next?"
  "Hm?" Yulin said in confusion as she glanced at Hyle.
  "Well, em… That man is still looking for me and probably wants to tear me limb from limb, so-"
   "I'm not talking about that! You are so on your own!" Hyle cuts in as he peeped at Yulin.
  "Aww, come on!" Yulin said as she grabs Hyle's arm.
  "No! I'm not getting involved again!" Hyle said.
   "I helped you with your secret!" Yulin said.
  "That was last year! How many times have i helped you in your mess?!"  Hyle asked.
   "Now let go!!" Hyle said as he shrugs off Yulin's hold, "Humph."
   Yulin grins at Hyle and Hyle grumpily faced the ground.
   "When i asked your plans on what to do next, i was talking about the academy." Hyle said.
   "Oh… I see." Yulin said as she faced the ground as well, "Well as i said before, i already have everything prepared for my leave next week; my food, my belongings, my transport to enter Hamolri, everything."
  "You are going to meet new people; people from different tribes." Hyle said, "You'll go through a lot of things there and you will get to make new friends."
   "Yeah, and play new tricks on people!" Yulin said as she glanced at Hyle with a smile.
   "No! You're not doing that there!" Hyle said as he glanced at her with a scowl.
  Yulin bursts out in laughter again and Hyle turns away and sighs again.
   "Hyle." Yulin called as she faced the ground, "Even though i am excited about this, a part of me doesn't want to leave."
   "Hm?" Hyle said as he stared at her in a puzzled manner.
  "I haven't gone yet, but i am already feeling lonely." Yulin said, "I am going to miss my parents, my uncle and my aunt but i am going to miss you the most."
  Hyle speechlessly stared at Yulin for a few seconds and smiled.
  "I am going to miss you too." Hyle said.
   "Hey, i have an idea!" Yulin said as she raised her finger up with excitement and gaped at Hyle, "Why don't you come to the academy with me?!"
   "Huh?" Hyle said in confusion.
  "With the both of us heading to the academy, we won't get to miss each other!" Yulin said, "I can easily get everything prepared for you to leave, too!"
   "Yulin, becoming a pilgrim is what you wanted to do, and plus, i don't think i am ready for this." Hyle said as he gazed at the ground.
   "Come on! You'll never know until you try!" Yulin said as she leaned towards Hyle while grinning with closed eyes.
  "Uh…" Hyle said as he stared at Yulin with uneasiness.
   After the recollection, Yulin placed her hand on her forehead while facing the ground.
  "Why did that come to me at a time like this?" Yulin asked within.
  Yulin swiftly raised her head and gasped in horror as the flaming ball on Ghiga's palm had increased.
   "Get out of my sight." Ghiga said.
  Ghiga immediately released the massive blast towards the humans that created an explosion and filled that section with smoke but as soon as the smoke had cleared, the humans found themselves covered in a large green barrier.
   "Huh?" A Ripar male said in confusion.
   "Green barrier…" Yulin said inwardly, "So that means…!"
   Yulin quickly turns to her right and sights Raen from afar with an outstretched arm.
   "Don't count me out of this fight, yet." Raen said.
  The other humans sights Raen and became joyed to see her standing.
  "Raen!" A female Ripar said.
  "I thought you were still unconscious!" A Graundar male said.
   "I thought you were dead!" A Kenar male said.
   "Welcome back." Yulin said with a smirk.
  "Oh? So you didn't take her out with one hit." Camina said to Ghiga while smiling.
   "You are still standing." Ghiga said to Raen.
   "Yes, i am." Raen replied, "I will admit, that was one hell of a punch you threw and it has given me a view on how strong you are."
  "A view on how strong i am?" Ghiga asked as he stretched forth his hand and and began to charge another ball of flames, "Please, you don't even understand the depth of my strength and the distance between us."
   Ghiga released another blast from his palm but Raen creates a green sphere that contained the blast, which left other hivelings astonished.
   "You must have gotten information on my kan ability of jade sphere, correct?" Raen asked, "An ability that not only allows me to create jade colored spheres but …"
  The green colored sphere that Raen created quickly vanished along with the blast it contained which caught some hivelings off guard.
   "Manipulate their properties as well." Raen said with a smirk, "What you just saw was me shrinking my sphere and your attack away."
    "Woah. I never knew she could do that." A Tenplar male said.
   "Me neither." A Kenar female said.
  "Why do i feel like she could do more than what she has shown?" A Graundar female asked.
   "Impressive. So not only were you able to contain my attack but you were also capable of shrinking it away, thereby making it look you teleported it." Ghiga said, "I am starting to see a little reason why Xarafi lost to you."
   "Izaiya said we should not hold anything back. Any skill or power  we have hidden must be shown in order for us to survive." Raen said.
  "Two hits." Raen said as she held up her two fingers, "I landed two hits on you and none of them fazed you. The first was with the amount of force i used on Xarafi and the second was a bit harder."
   "Now i am going to see how many hits it will take to bring you down and how hard i have to do it." Raen said with a smirk as she cracked her knuckles.
   "Challenge accepted." Ghiga said, "I too, will see how many hits it will take to bring you down and how hard i have to do it."
  Ghiga and Raen walked towards each other, filling the atmosphere with intensity in the act and as the two stood face to face,they stared at each other for a while. With no time being wasted again, Ghiga immediately hurls his fist towards Raen but Raen blocks his attack, swiftly brings down his arms and spun her body to land a reverse roundhouse kick. 
    Though the kick moved Ghiga's head, Ghiga showed no signs of being fazed and he quickly grabbed Raen's leg and tossed her away. Raen stabilized herself and lifts her head in time to see Ghiga send another flame blast towards her; Raen creates a sphere to block the attack but as soon as the attack was blocked, Ghiga showed up behind Raen and thrusts his foot on her back which made her scream out a bit and sent her violently rolling forward on the ground.
    Raen laid on the ground and was groaning in pain while making struggles to stand and as this was happening, Ghiga stretched out both of his hands.
   "Ghaj'shondar!!!" Ghiga said as he released a series of green flames towards Raen (as she was still making struggles to stand back on her feet).
   Raen sights the attack and quickly uses one arm to create a sphere but the amount of power behind the attack created an explosion that threw her back and sent her tumbling on the ground. Ghiga descends to the ground with a yell and slams his elbow on Raen's back which heavily broke the ground and caused blood to fly out of Raen's mouth; Ghiga hastily stood on his feet, punched the back of Raen's head, grabs her hair,  tossed her to a tree and followed it up with another flame blast from his hand that sent Raen soaring back.
   "RAEN!!!" Yulin said as she ran after Raen.
  However, Yulin was immediately stopped by a knee to the side of her head that sent her tumbling on the ground. Yulin slightly groans in pain and sees Camina standing in her front with a smile.
   "Do not interfere." Camina said, "And plus..."
  "You have us to deal with." Camina said as the other humans were surrounded by hivelings.
   "So, let's get started." Camina said while still smiling.
   Before Camina could step forward, a powerful breeze blew in her front along a rift appearing on the ground and to her and the other hivelings shock, Ghiga was laying on the ground.
  "Ghiga?" Camina said.
   Ghiga stood on his feet with no signs of being harmed and sights Raen standing afar and in a blink of an eye, the two of them dashed towards each other and clashed their fists, thus creating craters on the ground. Ghiga and Raen locked eyes with themselves and from there, the two began to block and evade their attacks.
   Ghiga lands a hardcore punch across Raen's face and followed up his attack with a kick to her side that sent her tumbling sideways. Raen stabilized herself, sprints towards Ghiga and attacks with a flying knee to the face, however the attack didn't faze Ghiga and Raen found her face covered by a hand of Ghiga; Ghiga slams Raen's head on the ground, therefore creating a fracture on it, lifts her through holding her hair and punched her in the face which sent her bouncing on her back.
    As soon as Raen steadied herself, Ghiga rushed towards her and attacks with a powerful back fist that threw her back despite Raen instinctively guarding against it.
   "Woah! This guy is a monster!" A Ripar female said in shock.
   "Yeah, i guess he wasn't joking when he talked about the depth and distance between them." A Graundar male said.
   "His strength is no joke. Even if we had the numbers advantage against him, we would still be crushed by him." A Tenplar male said.
   While Raen was panting for air, Ghiga stood in her front and stretched his neck a bit.
   "Buckle up." Ghiga said.
 Ghiga tries several times to punch Raen but Raen evades them all, struck his midsection with her right shin and followed it up with a punch and a back fist to his face, however the attacks didn't faze Ghiga and Ghiga continued his relentlessly series of attacks which Raen still evades.

   As Raen continued to evade Ghiga's hits, Raen attacks with two punches to his face but Ghiga wasn't fazed and continued trying to hit her; while Raen was evading, Ghiga ran up to her and lands a superman punch which she guards against but was sent skidding back.

    Ghiga raced in the direction of Raen and continued trying to hit her but Raen continued dodging; although Raen was evading, Ghiga's punches finally connected to her face three times and finalized everything with a strong side kick to her abdomen that made her roll backwards. Raen halts herself and stood on her feet while panting heavily, nevertheless, Raen fell on one knee and began to puke blood.

   Raen lifts head and sights Ghiga heading towards her direction with his fist set in a position to hit her, prompting Raen to quickly side step him and kick him at the side of the neck. Though the force of her kick did bring him down on one knee, Ghiga quickly responded with a hardcore punch on Raen's chest that made her slide on her back.
   During the time Raen laid on her back and was panting for air, Ghiga stared at her from afar.
  "Had enough, human?" Ghiga asked, "Now do you understand the difference between u-"
  Ghiga fell on his knees as his vision began to swirl which left him in shock.
   "What the?! What in Rora's name is going on?" Ghiga asked himself.
  "Looks like that kick did some damage, huh?" A feminine voice asked.
   Ghiga lifts his head and sees the person to be Raen, who at the moment was standing on her feet and wiping her mouth with her left forearm.
    "53 hits. It took 53 hits for my attacks to finally hurt you." Raen said, "You're one hell of a monster but you are not invincible. Now i have an idea of how hard i need to hit you in order for you to feel pain."
  Ghiga stood on his feet and rushed towards Raen to punch her but Raen parries his attack, struck with numerous punches on his face and chest and finalized everything with a side kick to his midsection that made him slide back on his feet. Ghiga managed to steady himself but as soon as he did that, Ghiga fell on one knee and began to vomit blood.
   "As i said before: i now have an idea on how hard i'm supposed to hit you." Raen said as she stared down at Ghiga, "And now i have the idea, I am just. Getting..."
   "Started." Raen said as her irises glowed.
