The story talks about a young boy known as Cloud who aspired to become the greatest pilgrim warrior in Agaroth (the first warrior realm of mankind) despite his flaws, however there is more that meets the eyes as Agaroth is on the brink of extinction...
Back at the arena, the audience hearts were flowing with anticipation as Karma and Dam locked eyes with each other. "This is it, people!" Lizira said, "These two have finally decided to settle this once and for all! Who will be victorious, the dragon's child or the shadow keillax?! Fire or ice?!!!" As Karma and Dam were moving towards each other while emitting their respective auras, the two advanced at high speed and began to evade and deflect their attacks. During this incident, Dam performs a back handspring and slams his palms on the corrupted black floor. "Garden of darkness." Dam said. At a blinding speed, multiple black ice spikes sprung out from different aspects of the ground trying to hit Karma but Karma leaps back continually to evade them all. "Dragon's art: blazing devastator." Karma said within herself as she stamps her foot on the ground, sending off a large blazing wave that destroyed the black ice on the ground while creating tremors in the process. Dam, however, appears high above Karma and creates a huge black ice Shard. "Black rain." Dam said. The shard swiftly splits into several pieces and rained down at Karma at an astonishing speed but a flaming red dragon's head immediately appears and shields Karma; Karma quickly creates a large fireball on her palm which instantly shrunk into a tiny flaming ball "Domeia." Karma said as she sent the ball into the air. The tiny ball immediately explodes and utterly destroys the entire black shards which made some among the audience to stare with widened eyes. At that moment, Dam showed up in front of Karma in a crouching position (as her covering had vanished) and swung his fist on her belly, making her skid back. Karma stabilizes herself but was suddenly attacked by a dark flash which quickly multiplied into numerous dark flashes attacking her from different directions, prompting Karma to set up her guard. "W-what is going on?!" A Ripar man asked within himself. "Oh? So that is your secret." Chief Akuro said within himself, "Not bad." Karma brings down her guard and glanced at Dam who happened to be covered with black swirling energy while his irises were glowing. Dam began to walk towards Karma and suddenly launched himself at high speed. Karma quickly threw a straight punch but Dam suddenly dispersed, leaving a black afterimage of himself. Karma's eyes swiftly rolls back and she appeared in mid air with Dam while having her knee thrust into his belly and quickly knocked him down with both hands cupped together. After knocking him down, Karma sends a flame blast from her palm towards Dam but Dam vanished once again only for Karma to suddenly appear smashing Dam's face on the walls of the arena with her fist. "What just ….?" Lizira said within herself. "She has adapted." Chief Ezgord said. "Yes, she has understood Dam's movements." Chief Tenya said. "You say she has adapted to how Dam moves." Sting said to Govo, "Care to explain?" "It's quite simple. You see when Dam was fighting Karma, he was subtly placing fragments of his black ice on different places of the arena with any chance he gets, allowing him to easily appear any place he desires in the field in an instant." Govo said, "If i remember correctly, Dam called this technique 'Shadow pace'." "So all those times, it wasn't his speed?" Cloud asked. "It was his speed." Govo answered, "You see, that's what makes it shadow pace; Dam doesn't just rely on the fragments but he also uses his speed to assist him in his movements. Sometimes he could just use the fragments without adding immense speed, sometimes he could just use both." "So him appearing in mid air, was it his speed or was it his fragments?" Sting asked, "Because i don't see how he could place the fragments in the air." "Talk less, observe more." Pit said while having her panora activated, "Look." Sting's scleras turned black while his purple irises glowed, leading him to react in shock. "Woah! So that's how he was even able to appear in mid air!" Sting said, "It's not just on the ground but on the walls and the barrier itself!" "See what happens when you finally use your-" Rish was immediately cut short as an explosion sounded in the arena which turned out to be Dam laying on the ground with smoke moving out of his chest. Dam groans in pain as he struggled to stand on his feet but as Dam was struggling, his black markings reverted back to the original blue Kenar color. "It takes a lot of stamina to even maintain that insignificant power you showed earlier." Karma said as she was walking towards Dam, "Honestly, you disappoint me. I know you're a weakling but i expected better from you. Using silly tricks to sneak in and attack? How useless. You think i didn't notice? I studied how you were moving especially when you sent that black rain down at me. Humph, that black rain wasn't even meant to attack me. It was meant to add more fragments of your worthless ice on the ground to give you another chance of attacking." Karma quickly recalls the black rain as some shrapnel of the ice had fallen on the ground before Karma created the domei. "You knew i'll be able to destroy it. You were counting on it." Karma said, "You were also counting on me quickly removing the tyrus covering so that you'll be able to attack, but you made two fatal mistakes: the first was thinking that that technique will help you forever and the second was you being too weak." Dam finally stood on his feet but instinctively weaves a sudden attack that pinned itself on the wall, revealing it to be a large flaming fang. "What the?!!" Lizira said in shock. "You see, since you've decided to play tricks on me, i decided to play a little trick on you." Karma said as a wide opened mouth of the tyrus salamander appeared at her back, "I can manipulate every structure of the salamander down to it's fangs. I wonder how long you'll survive before you become a skewered bird." "Let's find out." Karma said in a heavy tone as her irises glowed. Karma stretched out her hand, sending the fangs to rush towards Dam but Dam was evading every last one of them. "Black shield, full size." Dam said within himself as he creates a larger black barrier to block the fast approaching fangs. However, a powerful explosion accompanied with a tough gust of wind spread throughout the arena as the barrier was shown to be destroyed while Dam laid on the ground injured with holes on his midbody. "Down!" Lizira said. "Using the fangs of a dragon to attack someone? What kind of maniac is she?!" A Ripar woman asked. "Looks like history won't repeat itself." A Kenar man said. Down at the arena, Lizira became surprised as Dam struggled to stand on his feet while Karma observed him with her deadpan expression. "What?! He's not staying down despite his injuries?!" Lizira asked within herself. "Hmmm. Looks like you still got a some fight left in you." Karma said, "When i look at your kind, i become disgusted. Weaklings that pretend to be strong, deceiving everyone with their false level of power. Now i see why the former Chief of your tribe died. It wasn't really because he was betrayed, it was because you were too weak to save him." Hearing this, many of the audience, including the Kenars became disgusted and infuriated with Karma, leading most of their irises to glow. "That little…!" "This sh*thead…!" "That red-eyed bastard!" Yagura said within herself while emitting a red aura, "That Dreygar witch!!" "She didn't…" Cloud said. "That's Karma for you." Pit said, "She always tries to aggravate her opponents just to get into their heads and break them." "You know, i feel sorry for you." Pit said as she looks at Bee, "I can understand as her partner, you would do what you can to make the relationship work. I just hope yours doesn't end up like mine." After hearing Pit out, the saddened Killer bee turns her face away, meanwhile at the arena, Karma was still taunting Dam while Dam was facing the ground. "Deep down, you know i'm correct." Karma said, "If you should blame anything, blame your weakness. Blame your ability to do nothing, you outcast lesser. Blame your-" "You don't ever shut up, do you?" Dam cuts in on Karma. "Hm?" Karma said as she slightly bent her head. "You know, there are two things that are infinite in this life." Dam said, "First is stupidity and the second is your mouth and to be honest…" "It's really tiring." Dam said as he lifts his head while maintaining his emotionless demeanor. Many of the audience became shocked with Dam's response, leading them to murmur among themselves. "What?! He is unfazed by what she just said?!" "Can anything get through this boy?" "I doubt it. This is the result of one who has gone through so much pain and lost his emotions." "Dam…" Yagura said softly. "Anyway, since you are on the talk of power then let me ask you this, your power… Tyrus salamander, were you born with it or was it passed down?" Karma ignores Dam's question and continues staring at him. "It was passed down, wasn't it?" Dam asked, "So, you're just living on borrowed power. Without it, you're nothing; in other words, you are just an overgrown lizard calling herself a dragon." Hearing this, the audience held back their laughter but Sting being unable to hold it, immediately bursts out heavily. "Oh my chest! Karmaa!!!" Sting said while clutching his belly. "This guy barley has any self control." Rish said within himself while staring at Sting. "Say what you will but this tyrus salamander is what i carry as the legacy of my father and of my tribe." Karma said with a crossed arm, "And i'll gladly carry it around whether it be my power or not. So understand this, lesser, i am unrivaled among peers and i will continue to be unrivaled." "Is that what you think?" Dam asked, "That's a sad fantasy." In anger, Karma dashed towards Dam and punched him which Dam guarded against but was pushed back. Karma still moved towards Dam and knocks him away with a low roundhouse. Dam balances himself with a black ice wave and takes notice of Karma preparing plentiful tyrus fangs to attack. Karma immediately sends the fangs towards Dam but Dam counters by sending an enormous ice glacier to block the flaming fangs. Done with defending against the fangs, Dam immediately raised his head and sees Karma running down towards him on the glacier while preparing another set of flaming fangs. The fangs quickly fused into one, forming a humongous fang while Karma creates another compressed domei fireball. "Domei + tyrus fangs…!" Karma said within herself as she placed the fireball on the fang, causing it to speedily rotate, "Tyrus heaven piercing drill!" Karma sent the rotating fang down at Dam which created an extremely large and powerful beam of black-red flames that shot into the air while covering every aspect of the arena, shocking the people watching. "DAM!!!" Yagura screamed. "Big brother!!!" Meeno screamed. "This is crazy!" A woman said. "Is she trying to kill him?!" A man said. As the smoke had cleared, the audience were surprised at the black ice barrier that was in the arena. "I don't believe it…" "The ice protected him…?" "It must have adapted." The black barrier opened and Dam was shown standing and seemingly unscathed. However, Dam falls on his knees and began to cough out blood which left Yagura and Meeno more worried. "Dam…" Yagura said. "He took one heck of a damage in blocking it." A man said. "He is in no condition to continue, he should forfeit." A woman said. "He may seem cold and uneasy to read but if there is one thing i've noticed about him, it's that he's too stubborn." A Kenar man said, "He'd rather go down than to surrender and with what he has vowed, it's not going to happen." "I know this is Karma he is fighting but i never thought I'd see Dam like this." Yulin said. "There is always a first time for everything." Raen said, "The same thing happened to Gorn." Back at the arena as Dam was still on his knees, Karma walks towards him and coldly stared down. "You know, you're the first i remember to actually last this long against me and because of that, a side of me wants to respect you." Karma said, "However, you've really gotten on my nerves…!" Karma immediately attacks with a punch to the left side of Dam's face and quickly grabs him by the neck; while still holding his neck, Karma strikes Dam on the belly with a knee (which made him cough out blood) and follows up her attack with a headbutt. "Dragon's art: Tail of carnage!" Karma said within herself as she lands a quick leg sweep on Dam's head, finalizing her attacks. The attack sent Dam soaring back rapidly in a twisting motion and violently tumbling on the ground which left the audience stunned and dismayed. "What the heck?!" Lizira said within herself, " I could have sworn that attack took his head off!" "Wait…" Rish said within himself. Karma's body was instantly covered with black ice, leaving only her head exposed and shocking the audience in the process. "Wait, when did he…?" Killer bee asked in confusion. "At that moment Karma struck with her tail of carnage, Dam countered with an attack of his own, allowing Karma to be frozen up." Pit said with her panora as she had a recollection of Dam landing a palm strike on Karma's shin and covering it with black ice. "Hoh? Quite resilient, i see." Karma said while covered in the ice as she watched Dam struggle to stand, "They say the black ice is stronger than the average Kenar ice and is capable of 'blackening' the physical power of one who gets caught up in it, therefore making it seem almost impossible to break but as demonstrated earlier…" Karma easily destroys the black ice and appears slamming Dam's face to the ground. "I'm out of your league." Karma said. "When did she…?" Pit said in shock while having panora active. "She seems unstoppable." Cloud said within himself, " Onak maybe terrifying but can he actually beat her?" Karma placed her foot on Dam's head and began to charge a flame blast at him. "This is the end." Karma said, "Any last words?" "You talk too much." Dam said. Dam instantly crumbles which caused Karma to quickly lift her eyes and find the real Dam standing far away with black energy swirling around him. "He used an ice clone to distract her while preparing for this attack?" Yagura asked within herself, "But this attack… Why do i feel like i've seen it before?" Yagura quickly remembers earlier as Dam was about finish off Meeno with him charging a black orb on his finger tips. "It's the same technique but stronger!" Yagura said within herself, "Dam is about to use full force on her!" During this incident, Karma tries to move her body but finds herself unable to do so. "What's the meaning of this?! I can't move my body!!" Karma said within herself, "That bastard! What did he do with that ice clone?!" "Ragnoro." Dam said with a deepened voice as he cupped his hands together, filling the arena with a black snowstorm. However as the snowstorm had cleared, the audience eyes widened as Karma stood unfazed while having her arms crossed. "Whoops." Karma said with a smile. "What in the world?!" Lizira said. "I-i don't believe it." Cloud said, "She took that powerful attack and still stood unscathed?!" "So it's true…" Rish said. "Huh?" Cloud said as he turned towards Rish. "One of the things that makes the Dreygars so powerful isn't really their strength or terrifying flames but their resistance and defenses." Rish said, "An average Dreygar's defense is greater than an average Kan user. The more powerful the Dreygar, the more powerful their defense and resistance will become. Dam can't win against her." At the arena, Dam fell on his knees and began to pant for air. "Dammit…" Dam said within himself. "You know, you really had me when i couldn't move." Karma said, "Shadow freezing, wasn't it? A technique of yours that is capable of freezing the shadow of the target therefore affecting the physical movements as well. I was temporally held by it, something I'm guessing wouldn't be possible with others. I'm getting tired of this fight." "Die." Karma said as her irises glowed. In a flash, Karma sprints towards Dam and pierced him in the belly with her fist, catching everyone off guard. "KARMA!!!" Killer bee screamed.
