"A boat?" Ezra asked

Ezra and me were currently at the mall, I need a few things for my date with Imani and could need a little help

"Yes a boat. I rented one to get us the the other side of the sea and I need to decorate it a little"
So far I haven't found anything good

"Damn you're really taking this serious" Ezra said snickering
"Of course I am, why shouldn't I?"
"You don't need to be all extra just take her out to a fancy dinner and boom you're gonna spend together if you know what I mean" Ezra stated wiggling his eyebrows

"Yeah that may work for a quick thing but unlike you I want more than just sex"

"I don't think so, I definitely need to ask her the next time I see her" I said thinking about it

"Anyways I guess This should be all" I said looking at the full shopping cart

Ezra was holding two packs condoms in each hand, one saying large and the other one medium
"Aye man don't give me that look just take them both" Ezra said dropping them in the shopping cart
"No Ezra put them back I don't need them"
"Ahh okay you like it risky - didn't held you for that kinda guy"
"My god Ezra, what is wrong with you you've been acting all weird lately" I said running my hands over my face

After he didn't respond for a while I decided to take a look at him
"Ezra? You okay?"
"I haven't had sex in two weeks" he spilled out

After going through a few random stores Ezra and I decided for a quick stop at Wendy's
"Ugh damn it" Ezra said seeming to be concentrated on something behind me

"No no don't turn around it's just Peter, Johnny, Caleb and a random blonde chick"
"Yeah I'm done eating anyways"

Just as we were about to leave, we were spotted by Peter and the other geez I'm really bad at remembering names
"Ezra? Theo?"

"Oh hey Peter didn't think to see you here" Ezra started

From what he had told he, he was never really on good terms with Peter. They both wanted to become captain of the football team causing them to turnst against one another, to bad Ezra only got co-captain he probably would be a better captain than Peter.

"Doing some shopping?" Peter asked
"Uh kind of" I said scratching my neck a little
"Cool cool" he said looking around
"Are you going to keep standing there or can we keep going?" The girl with blonde hair said chuckling obnoxiously
"Uh yes see you guys around" Peter said before leaving
"Aight man let's go" Ezra said walking towards the exit

Dad's home? How unusual.
"Is there anything for me?" Will asked snooping around the bags in my hand
"Sadly no will not this time" I said placing them down

"Theodore" I heard Dads gruff voice call for my

"I... I need to talk to you" He said before disappearing into our dining area.

We both sat down sitting across from each other, I actually don't remember the last time my father and I had a normal conversation

"Zoe went out" he started
"Cool" I said glancing around our dining area
"I uh I know haven't been the best Father to you and Will" he said looking me deep in the eyes,
"The day your mom left-" he started before taking a deep breath
"I thought it was over, I had nothing and wasn't able to care for by myself so I started to drink"

"Theooo" Will yelled for me
"What is it Will we are kind of busy right now" Dad tried to shoo him away
"I just wanted to ask if these are chewing gums - they look like chewing gums" Will said holding up the condoms Ezra made me buy.

Never in my whole life have I been this embarrassed, I felt my dads piercing gaze on the side of my gaze
"N-no Will where did you find them, I told you to stop snooping around my stuff!"

"I didn't know you had a girlfriend Theodore" my dad said slightly surprised
"No no! These aren't mine"
"It's noting to be embarrassed about everyone will go through this at least you're using protection" dad started to explain

"Will put them back and stop going through my stuff!"
"Ughhh okayyyy" Will said whining

Leaning my head on my hand I waited for my dad to continue
"Now where was I" he asked going through his greying hair
"Well to keep things short... I'm sorry Theodore"

"I'm sorry for everything I've ever done to you, you don't have to forgive but I want to be better and become a new person... I want to go into rehab"

"I guess that's it for now" he said before getting up
"D-dad"
"Yes?"
"Why... why did mom leave" I asked looking up for the first time in a while
"... I was a horrible person" he said and left me in the dining area all by myself
