Theodore

"I think it would've been a girl" I say enjoying the view of the ocean and light summer breeze

"I would've said a boy" Imani says her head laying on my shoulder

"Let's make a bet"

"A bet?" She asks looking up at me

"I say our next child is going to be a girl and if I'm right I win" I say smiling at her doe eyes

"And what if it's a boy? What do I get?"

"The most amazing husband and father of a son in one" I say half jokingly because I meant every single word.

"And what do you get if it's a girl?"

"I get to be the most amazing husband and father of a daughter with the women I love the most" I say meaning it but she just laughs at me

"Who are you and what happened to my morally gray boyfriend" she jokes and I jokingly push her by the shoulder

"Shush women, it's fiancée and not boyfriend anymore"

"Oh I'm sorry mr fiancée slash soon to be husband" Imani says rolling her eyes

"Husband. I really like it" I say out loud

"It's funny thinking about the fact that I'll be referring to you as my husband. Like: Theo? Oh yeah that's my husband" Imani says giggling

"Time really flies when you're with the right person" I say taking her hand in mine

"Yeah" she says looking at our intertwined hands

"Do you think we would've went separate ways if I wouldn't have ended up pregnant back then?"

"No. Not at all, we would've found our way back together one way or another" I admit
"I think we just chose the complicated path" I add chuckling to myself

"I'm really happy with how this turned out. Well I mean yes three years long distance was rough but we made it" Imani says her gaze fixated on the sand in front of us

"I told you so" I say knowing I hit a nerve

"Shut up" she laughs trying to push me away

"Can't accept the fact that I'm right or what?" I challenge her

"Blah blah blah say what you want I don't care"

"A win is a win, dearest" I say smugly

"Gosh I can't believe I accepted to marry you, now I'll have to stick with you to rest of my life" Imani fakes being disappointed

"Forever and ever" I say on purpose

"Yeah... but only if you catch me!" She suddenly says getting up from the blanket and ran towards the ocean,

"Hey! That's not fair!" I shout as I got up to run behind her.

She was running as fast as she could but I think she forgot that she's practically half my size so catching up to her was very easy.

I grabbed her by the waist and she started giggling and screaming causing me to laugh and tickle her

"Stawp! Stawp!" She said in between her laugh

"Alright" I say chuckling when I carried her towards the ocean
"Say sorry or I'll drop you" I threaten and she just laughs wiggling in my grasp

"Say sorry!" I say trying to be firm but break out in a laughter as well

"Okay okay! I'm sorry" she quickly said when I loosened my grip on her body

"Not good enough" I say throwing her in the water but instead of letting me go she used all her force to pull me with her causing both of us to land in the water.

"You are unbelievable!" She shouts laughing at me,
but I was too distracted to admire her beauty being enhanced by the setting sun. She was practically glowing in the light.

Her splashing water at me broke me from my trance.

We played in the water for a little while before we went back to lie on our blanket exhausted by our play fighting.

"I don't ever want this to end" Imani said turning her head to look at me
"I know, me too" I admit

"I love you Imani"

"I love you Theodore"

The End

W: phew now that took a while to finish.

Dear reader I want to thank you all for reading my book and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did<3 I know this may came like a shock to many of you but I decided to end this book here and give this last chapter enough room for you guys to decide how the story between Theodore and Imani ended that's why I didn't went too much into detail.

It's crazy to think that I started this book in 9th grade I think and finished it in 12th grade! Weird that it took me so long but hey at least I didn't abandon this book like many other writers do.

Will there be any more books in the future? Probably, maybe but idk nothings certain yet. I really enjoy writing these silly little stories so I think there's more to expect

but for now this is it.

Sincerely

Your Mira<3
