I've always liked the peace and quietness that came when I was at work. Working on cars always calmed my mind. Jack is one of my coworkers and right now we were working on some cars that have been here for a few days, I played my playlist through some jbl speakers.

"Yo Theo there's someone at the front. Can you go look please?" He asked from under the car. I gave him a short 'yep' and walked from the garage towards the front.

I cleaned my hands with a cloth
"How can I help you" I asked
"Theo?"
My eyes widened as I saw Imani and her dad at the front desk.

"That's Theo?" Her father asked surprised
"That grumpy little kid from back then?" He asked again with a chuckle,
I wouldn't say grumpy but yes.

"Good evening Mr Diallo" I said reaching my hand for him to shake with a small smile.
"Good evening you too" he said shaking my hand with a bright smile
"You children grow up way to fast" he said with a laugh patting my back

"Dad you're making him feel uncomfortable" Imani said crossing her arms over her chest
"I-it's okay" I said chuckling
"Dad don't forget what we are here for" Imani said,
"Oh yea right, it's just so surprising to see that Theo's a man now" Mr Diallo said grinning.
I couldn't help it but blush a little when Imani's dad said that.

"Anyways my car needs some fixing. I tried to repair it myself but obviously I'm no professional so I came here."
"Do you know exactly what needs to be fixed, sir?" I asked
"To be honest no I don't. My car is still at my place so I would just like to make a Termin when my car could be picked up and brought here" Imani's dad said, taking his phone out to do something on it

"Alright, I need you to fill these and these out" I said reaching for the needed papers and a pen. Mr Diallo took them before giving me a small thank you,
he was about to finish with the first sheet when his phone ringed
"I have to take this real quick" he said before going outside.

Now it was only me and Imani,
She was dressed in a cropped top with little flowers on it and some jeans it looked cute on her.
I didn't wanted to be a creep and stare at her while she was on her phone so i went to remove the excess dirt from my hands with the cloth that was tucked in my Jean pocket.

"I didn't know you worked as a mechanic" I heard Imani say
"Now you do" I said chuckling not looking up at her beautiful face,
"Wait- you got there something" she said reaching for my jaw to wipe something off my face, I felt the heat rush to my cheeks at that sudden action. I would have thought that she would take a step back now but she was still really close to me - our chests almost touching.
"Theo?" She asked maintaining eye contact
"Yes?" I asked,
She placed a hand on my chest still looking me in the eyes, I was freaking out but of cours I wouldn't show her.

"Do I make you nervous?" She asked looking me deep in the eyes
"No" I breathed out. We were so close I could smell that sweet and fresh scent coming from her.
"Then why is your heart beating so fast?" She asked,

How do you even respond to such a question?
Oh yeah my heart is beating so fast because I've been crushing on you for years now and I think you're the most beautiful person I've ever seen and the slightest contact with you makes me weak in the knees? Yea no.

"Theo? What's taking you so long?" Jack asked causing Imani to take a step back,
"C-customers" I said still dazed by the scent of Imani
"K, you can go back I will handle it from here" Jack said
"I-I will see you tomorrow at school then" I said turning back to Imani
Wait
Did I just caught her checking me out?
"Uh yes! See you tomorrow" she said smiling.

I was back at work but I couldn't concentrate, my thoughts would always drift back to Imani.
I felt a smile forming on my lips as I thought about her,

"Your girlfriend?" Jack asked with a smirk working on some car tires
"Sadly no" I said repairing a battery
"She's hot" Jack said biting his lip slightly,
I stopped my work on the battery and looked at him
"You better don't try anything" I said in a firm voice.
Jack started smirking
"I already got her number" he said,
my eyes widened in shock.
Of course she would give Jack her number - he is kind of like Peter but less an asshole and older, 21 I think.

"Stay away from her, Jack" I growled at him
"Or what?" He asked challengingly,
I felt my body heat up from the anger I was feeling right now.
"You don't want to know, Jack" I growled at him,
We were glaring at each other now. I raised my brow at him when he started laughing
"I'm just kidding bro, you should've seen your face" he said wheezing now.
I grew even more annoyed with him,
"Wait wait- hold that pose" he said taking his phone out.
I just turned away from him and went back to work.
