Christmas Break

Where everyone is excited for snow and gifts of course,
it seemed like as if everyone was in a good mood but me.

And no it's not what you think it is, Theo and I didn't break up. It's December now meaning Georgias party is was a little over a month ago.

After my emotional outburst I needed some time alone so I wasn't really talking to anyone. Theo respected my decision and waited until I told him I was ready - ready to talk about it.

I've got until early July 'til our paths part for the next 3ish years, we agreed on a long distance relationship and visit each other every holidays.

I can totally understand that he wants to spend some time with his mother, they've been separated for 18 years. I shouldn't be the reason to why he wants to stay here, I mean it sucks that I won't get to see him everyday anymore but I also want to see him happy.

I was hiding in my bedroom from my relatives and annoying cousins hoping that nobody was looking for me.

It was all good until I heard a knock on my door,

"Imani? Can I come in?" I heard a familiar voice say

"Kayla? Is that you?" I asked as I got up from my bed and went to open the door

"Is that how you greet your favourite cousin?" Kayla joked placing a hand on her hip

"Oh my- I didn't know you guys were coming!" I squealed as I engulfed her in a hug

"But girl, why aren't you dressed? We're going out, it's Christmas Eve, remember?" she said coming in
"Girl you got depression or sum shit? Not only do you look like a mess but so does your room" she added

"No no I don't have depression" I stated with an awkward laugh "I just haven't been myself lately"

"Okay? Let me guess, he broke up with you?" Kayla said getting comfortable on my unmade bed

"What? No! Why does everybody think that?" I groaned in frustration

"You gonna present him to the fam tonight?" She asked

"No. He's spending his holidays in Paris"

"Paris? The city of love Paris? Without you?" Kayla asked almost yelled

"You mean the city of bedbugs" I mumbled
"What?" She asked

"Nothing but uhh yes he's visiting his mother. Cool right"

"I guess. So he knows how to speak French?"

"Yes yes he knows" I responded quickly

"Cool, well let's get you ready for dinner" Kayla said getting up and walking towards my wardrobe

"Here. But careful it's hot" I said handing Will his Crêpe
"Thank you Theo" he said happily

"We can sit over there and take a quick break" my mom offered pointing towards a big tent with seats and small seating areas in it.

I've been to a few Christmas markets back at home but I was still very impressed.

"You like it Will?" I asked
"Yeah!"

"More than Waffles?" I joked drinking my hot chocolate

It caused him to think for a while
"Wait seriously?" I asked making sure trying to keep my laugh to myself
