Imani

The next following days I tried to avoid Peter at all costs - I, for once was happy we had no classes together.

I know he was or is cheating on me and I know I should break up with him. But that break up needs to be perfect and right now I'm not in the right state of mind and look to do so.
Why?
Well I tried to deny it and push that feeling down but I think I caught feelings for Theo.
I know it's wrong but dating Peter kind of showed me that I wasn't crushing about Peter, I was subconsciously crushing on Theo.

And it would not be fair regarding Ashley.

"He's cheating"
I blurted out as I sat next to Brianna in the cafeteria, I tried lowering my cap hoping that if Peter is here, he won't see me
"Hold on. What? Who's cheating"
"Shhhhh" "don't speak so loud!" I hissed glancing around us.
The others weren't here yet and Ashley still avoided me.

"Peter" I whispered
"No way! What an asshole" Brianna said gasping
"With Selena"
"Girl! You have to break up with him"
"I know and I will... just-just not yet"
"Imani are you stupid?! Go do it now! Dump his low white cheating ass!"
"Don't worry Bri, I will. But not today"
"Well what are you waiting for huh?"
"The right moment which is not now"
"Girl You're waisting your time"
"Yeah I know. By the way don't tell the others"
"I won't"
"Ashley's coming, I guess that's my cue to leave"
"See ya later"

Walking around the crowded hallways - keeping my head low, I accidentally bumped into a person
"Shit, I'm so-"
"Watch where you're going" Selena barked cutting me off. Her angered face turned into a smirk when she saw it was me.
"You whore" I spat
"Oh, so you do know" she said smirking
"Ugh don't even start Selena. You wanna be Peters bitch? Oh no wait you've always been. That's why you are always the second choice, nothing more than a good lay for him - and that's what you're always gonna be to him you cunt" I spat and purposely bumped into her as I walked away

"F-fuck you Imani!" Selena yelled from behind, by the way her voice sounded I knew my words must've hit very deep.

I turned towards Selena to show her my pretty middle finger and flash her with my smile
"Go cry about it, Selena"

Theodore

One thing I learned about last weekend is that alcohol is nothing for me. Compared to others I didn't even had much but I can barley remember what happened there.
I just hope I didn't embarrassed myself in front of Imani.
And for some reason Ashley doesn't want to talk to me, which is okay for me since I've been wanting to end what we have going on.

So when she texted me 'we need to talk' I was ready to leave everything behind and go see her.

We both just sat on her bed leaving some space  between us. I didn't take my shoes or jacket off cause I was thinking this would go fast.

"So" she started
"First of all I'm sorry for the way I reacted last weekend" she said taking a moment to compose herself
"And we've been dating for about a month now but... I think it's time to make things official"
"Official?" I repeated
"Yeah, official in like boyfriend and girlfriend" she said scooting closer and taking my hand in hers
"You know that's what I wanted to talk about"
"W-what do you mean?"
"I think we should stop seeing each other"
Wide eyed she slowly removed her hands from mine
"Why?" She breathed out
"Ashley, I like you - a lot... but not in a Uhm romantic type of way"
"So you were just acting the whole time?!" She spoke, her voice getting an octave louder
"N-no! Don't get me wrong. I was just trying to find out where this would go. That's you date someone before getting into a relationship and I just don't think we would work out"

She didn't respond

"Why me?" She asked her voice cracking
"Just for once I thought I finally found a guy who actually liked me but they all leave at the end" she said starting to cry
"Ashley I'm not leaving you, maybe we just aren't meant to be together as lovers but maybe as friends" I tried to coo her
"You are only making it harder for me Theo, why do you have to be such a perfect boyfriend, you girlfriend will be the luckiest girl on earth" she said chuckling a little

"I promise you Ashley, one day there's gonna be a guy who's head over heels for you and won't leave you - you just have to be patient"

"I love you Theo, but you're not mine" she said smiling.
I weakly smiled back wiping her tears away
"Do me a favour and don't think of this as a bad thing yeah?"
"I'm gonna try"

And I with that I got up and gave her a kiss on her forehead.

Anyways I'm sorry for the long wait there is literally no excuse but since my grades have been dropping a little I kinda lost motivation to literally do anything. I don't really feel better but I feel better enough to update
