*Loki POV*
Loki hadn't stopped pacing the lounge since the others had come back from the mission and you weren't with them. He'd had a gut wrenching feeling about an hour after you had all left and he was once again telling himself to stop being stupid
When he could hear the minds of the rest of the team approaching he ran up to the roof to see what was wrong, because he knew there had to be something wrong. Again.
The team all seemed to freeze when they saw Loki on the roof waiting for them, but none of them said anything.
"What happened to her? Where is she? Take the cuff off and I can heal her" He demanded which seemed to make them all sadder
"Brother..." Thor said mournfully and walked over to him
"No, she can't be dead" Loki whispered, eyes widening, a new fear setting in
"No, not that we know of. But she's been taken" Thor said as he put a hand on Loki's shoulder
Loki threw it off and turned to the rest of the team. "Well why are you all standing there doing nothing?! You have to do something!"
"Hey, Reindeer Games, calm down! We all lover her here-" Tony started saying but Loki cut him off
"I don't love the Midgardian! She's just the only interesting one around here" he scoffed trying to school his features
"Come on, brother. We can't do anything standing out here" Thor said as he turned Loki to the door and headed in with the rest of the team
*Your POV*
In the elevator you only went up one floor before you got off and you were lead down another corridor and taken into a room on the right. It reminded you of a white, sterile operating theatre room that was empty other than the 4 other guards already waiting there.
You were stood in front of the first guard that was in the line. "What's this, speed dating captors edition?" You joked when no one said anything or even moved. "Because this-'' you began to say but then there was a gunshot which made you scream because you weren't expecting it and you saw the man in front of you buckle over and cry out in pain.
Blood started to pour out from him all over the floor and no one moved a muscle to help him
"Guys! He needs help!" You shouted at them pointing to the man who looked like he had lost a quarter of his blood writhing in pain
"Will you help him?" The man who had bought you to the room asked blankly
"What, ye-" You went to say 'of course but you couldn't' then it clicked in your head. They're trying to see if I would heal for them. "I can't, but you need to get him to a hospital!" You pleaded instead
"No, he won't make it. You need to help him or he dies'' the man said blankly again as if he were discussing the weather
"I...wont" You choked out. It even pained you to say it let alone not to rush over to him
"Okay" the man replied and just stood there while his colleague was dying on the floor
You tried not to look at him but it was physically hurting you not going over there and help.
"Fine! Take these cuffs off!" You gave in and shoved your wrists out to the man. The cuffs clicked off and fell to the floor and you felt like all your magic had been given back to you. You ran over to the one who had been shot and started to heal him. It took a lot out of you to fully heal him with how much blood he had lost but you managed it. When he stopped bleeding and you finished healing him the cuffs were placed right back on you, no chance for you to do anything else. Not that you could with how much it had taken out of you.
Your legs and hands were covered in the man's blood and was dripping from you when you were pulled back to your feet and taken out of the room and back to the elevator where you went back down to the floor your cell was on and you were locked back in there, still covered in blood.
You sat there in a bit of a daze not knowing what to do with yourself or what to think. You wondered what they were going to make you do next and what the reason for kidnapping you was.
You were then hit with a wave of tiredness form healing the man's wound so you lay down on your bed and sang some lullabies one of your foster families used to sing to you while you fell to sleep
***
The next time you were woken was by the same guard who slid you a tray under the bottom of the bars. You looked over to it and saw there was a sandwich on there and a glass of water. At least they were going to feed you, you thought and went to retrieve it, bringing it back on your bed and you took a bite out of it. You were wrong, it was literally bread and butter and nothing else. You sighed but ate it anyway, ignoring the dried blood still on your hands.
Once it was all gone and so was the glass of water you put the tray back by the door and curled back up on your bed and lay there...and lay there...and lay there.
You started doing some exercise, determined not to let this place get you out of shape and once you exhausted yourself again, you decided to start singing again, hoping you'd eventually fall back to sleep.
"But you will remember me. Remember me, for centuries and just one mistake is all it will take. We'll go down in history. Remember me for centuries" you began singing again until you fell back to sleep
***
You were once again woken by the sound of boots walking down the hallway to take you to the same room you had been taken to the last time and the same thing happened again but this time after the 1st person in line was shot, the second one was shot in the thigh and it clipped an artery. You didn't know which one to save first so you partly healed the one with the stomach wound and then healed the leg artery and then went back to the stomach wound.
Once you had finished with those healings you were far more tired than the day before but you managed to get back on your feet, even if you swayed slightly. You were taken back to your cell and later on given "food" again under the cell door. This time there was processed chicken between the bread.
After you'd waited a while for your food to go down, you went into your exercise routine again
***
You continued with the same routine another 3 times but when it came to the 4th run of it you couldn't save the last man.
You weakly dragged yourself by your fingers over to the last man with an injury and tried to heal him but before you could, you passed out and you knew you'd sealed that man's fate by not healing him. He wasn't going to make it.
***
You woke up back in your cell and assumed you had been dragged back there like a dog if the soreness of your shoulder joint had anything to say about it. Two guards came to your cell this time and instead of bringing food they came in. You were still so weak from all the healing earlier that day, that you struggled to sit up on the bed when they approached.
"Oh hey boys. How are you?" You tried to laugh but you were so exhausted it just sounded wobbly
"How are we? Our friend died in an experiment today and we were told it's your fault" the blonde haired man said to you, the anger in his eyes would have been terrifying if you had any energy to worry about it.
"Wha-I? Me? My fault?" You gasped, the shock of it woke you up slightly and the anger radiating from them unsettled you a little
"Yeh, you were meant to heal him and make him better!" The brown haired guy spat at you
"I couldn't! I had no magic left!" You tried to reason with them, but you didn't know why because you knew they wouldn't accept your reasoning
"Bullshit!" The brown haired man growled and out of nowhere he punched you in the face with his right fist. The blonde decided to throw in a punch to your stomach too but apparently that wasn't enough for either of them and they continued to beat the crap out of you. You passed out from a mixture of exhaustion and pain after you felt the second rib crack, while they were still hitting you.
