Chapter 44 - The dead return

You reached Thor and found that he was holding Odin by the back of his collar and had his hand held out, awaiting Mjolnir's return. If neither of them moved, Mjolnir was going to rip a huge gaping hole through Odin in a few seconds

"Thor! What are you doing?!" You gasped as you looked at the Asgardian citizens and guards around them looking on in shock. Why weren't the Einherjar stopping Thor?

"You've gone quite mad! You'll be executed for this!" Odin gasped but wasn't doing anything to stop it.

"Then I'll see you on the other side...brother" Thor smirked and you were now confused as Hel.

"Alright! I yield!" Odin said in Lokis voice and then the illusion was dropped and revealed that Odin was actually Loki

You felt like you had been hit by a train and your world turned upside down. Loki was alive! Wait...Loki was alive?! You felt an anger rise up in you...

"Behold! Thor Odinson and the Lady Y/N!" Skurge panted, out of breath from apparently running all the way from the bifrost chamber. The poor bastard.

"You had one job! ONE!" Loki yelled at Skurge who looked like he wanted to disappear

"No! You do NOT get to yell at anyone here!" You screamed at Loki and stormed over to him

"Little sister-" Thor started to say but was interrupted when you reached Loki and gave him a massive slap around the face. The look of shock on his face was a picture you wish you could capture.

"How could you do this to me?! Yeh, you've done it to Thor before but how could you do this to ME?!" You were screaming and crying by this point and Thor came over and put an arm around you. "I died inside when Thor came back to Midgard and told me what happened!"

Loki looked utterly ashamed of himself through the whole of your telling him off and so he should have. You were still trying to comprehend what had happened. You just couldn't understand why he would do this to you.

"I...I saw a chance to be king..." Loki started to say quietly to you

"But I loved you!" You cried and Thor tightened his arm around you

"Where is Odin?" Thor demanded of Loki. Oh yeah, you forgot about him for a minute there

"You just couldn't stay away, could you? Everything was fine without you. Asgard was prospering!" Loki replied to Thor and that just made you angrier

You conjured a shield around Loki and compressed it slightly, starting to squash him. "Answer your brother!" You yelled at him. You didn't like Odin much but still, he had to be found.

The look of shock and pain in Lokis eyes once would have made you feel terrible for what you were doing to him, but you were filled with rage and heartbreak right now. You also knew that by now Loki was no match for you either so you weren't worried he would break out of your shield.

After finding out about his death and after you grieved, you trained and trained until there wasn't an opponent you had come across that could best you.

"Ow! Ow! Okay! I know where he is!" Lok gasped and you released him from your shield. You saw in his eyes the realisation of what he had done to you. How much he had hurt you to make you attack him like that.

"Take us this instant!" Thor demanded and you teleported the three of you and Skurge to the bifrost chamber because you knew Odin wasn't on Asgard from what Surter had said earlier.

You were sent to a New York street in front of a construction site. You had all adorned Midgardian clothing. Thor in jeans, a t-shirt and a jacket and masked Mjolnir as an umbrella, Loki in an all black suit which, even though you were so mad with him still and knew it wouldn't pass any time soon, looked so good on him. And you were in black skinny jeans and a blue tank top with the black leather jacket Bucky had bought you for Christmas.

"I swear i left him right here" Loki said dumbly looking at the rubble

"For your sake you had better hope he isn't buried underneath all of that" you snarled at him and he looked taken aback at you defending Odin

"You left him at a construction yard?" Thor asked

You rolled your eyes at his cluelessness. "How was I supposed to know they were going to demolish the place? I'm not a witch" Loki defended himself

"Then why do you dress like one?" Thor smirked which made you laugh. He did, in fact, look like a witch dressed all in black.

"Hey!" Loki gasped, obviously offended

"God, I can't believe you're alive. I saw you die. I mourned you, I cried for you. And Lady Y/N..." Thor said, obviously still not happy about what Loki had done to you either

Loki looked like he was going to say something to defend himself but you glared at him and he stopped

"Excuse me. Thor...Sorceress, can we have a picture?" Two older teens came over and asked you

"Of course!" You smiled and Thor did too and the four of you huddled together to take a selfie. Loki looking most unimpressed by it.

"Thank you!" The two girls said as they left you after the picture was taken

You felt strange magic starting to swell near you and you looked around to see where it was coming from. Just then an orange sparkly circle started to appear at Lokis feet

"What are you doing?" Thor demanded of Loki which made you roll your eyes. Lokis magic was green, not orange

"This isn't me" Loki informed Thor and then he seemed to fall through the circle and into the floor. The circle closed up and there was a piece of card left behind.

Thor poked at it with umbrella-Mjolnir. "Loki?" He asked the card

"He didn't transform himself into a piece of card, dimwitt" You laughed and picked up the card. All that was on it was an address. 177A Bleaker Street. "I guess we go here then?"

"Well, you're the Midgardian. I'm following you" Thor said

"Im Asgardian, I was just brought up here" You corrected him and you teleported the two of you outside of the address. "There's that same strange magic here. Be careful" You warned Thor as you sensed the magic and you knocked on the door

Another of those orange circles appeared in the doorway so you shrugged your shoulders and walked through it. It was hardly the most dangerous situation you had been in these past two months.

Inside there was a beautiful wooden staircase that lead up the middle of the room and a huge circle window at the top of it.
