Chapter 24 - Your saviour is here

You were startled awake from something that shook the whole building, nearly making you fall to the floor if it hadn't been for Bucky tightening his grip on you. You pushed yourself up off him and moved towards the door curiously.

When the building shook again you grabbed onto the table to steady yourself and Bucky came over to you and pulled you behind the table

"I guess this isn't a normal occurrence here then?" You jokingly asked with a raised eyebrow.

"No. Stay here, i'll go see what's happening" he said and left you behind the table and he snuck to the door

You could hear people screaming and things smashing outside and just as Bucky reached the door it was blown off its hinges and something swooped in and knocked Bucky back.

You saw who, not what, had knocked Bucky back was Loki and he had a dagger to Buckys throat

"No! Loki! He's a good guy!" You shouted to him before it was too late.

The second you started speaking Lokis head whipped around to look at you wide eyed.

You ran over to him as fast as you could in waves and waves of pain and threw yourself at him in a hug.

"Oh my god! I can't believe you're here!" You cried into his shoulder

"Y/N?! Are you okay! What happened to you?!" He asked, worry like no worry you'd seen before plagued his face

"Can we just get out of here first? Are you with the others or did you do a Rambo?" You asked, hoping he bought the cavalry

"The others are here, but what's a rambo?" He looked confused and you just laughed and kissed him on the cheek and hugged him again, not caring that he nearly freaked out at the kiss.

"Lets go! And we have to bring Bucky too!" You gasped and went to retrieve the thoroughly confused Bucky from behind Loki

"Take my hand" Loki said to you, so you did and the next second the three of you were standing inside the Quinjet. "I've got Y/N and she's brought a friend along" Loki said, you assumed, over comms to the team. Then he turned to you and said "I'll be right back. They'll pay for what they've done" and in a flash of green light he was gone and the screams of terror coming from in the building seemed to get louder when he had left.

The team had all started making their way back to the jet and you weren't surprised that Tony made it back first, nearly falling out of his Iron Man suit trying to get to you too quickly. You collided with each other in a huge hug which you instantly regretted as it pulled at all your stitches and wounds and you cried out in pain

"What wro-oh my god, kid! What did they do to you!?" Tony changed what he was asking when he pulled back and saw your now blood covered bandages.

"Long story" you winced and dropped to the floor, Bucky moving to your side as Tony knelt down to you as well and Steve arrived at the jet

"We need to go guys. Now!" Steve barked over the comms when he saw the state you were in. He came over to help you but when he saw Bucky he froze. "Bucky?" He questioned so quietly you thought he had gone into complete shock

"Steve?" Bucky said back just as confused and shocked 

"Oh, so you know each other? Great! Now help the girl on the floor that's bleeding out would ya?" You laughed as you were lifted onto the operating table in the back of the jet, just as everyone else arrived. Including Loki who was now soaked in splatters of blood

"Get us back quick, Nat!" Tony yelled to her in the cockpit

The team worked on bandaging you up more on your way back to the tower. They said they'd get you all stitched up once you were back there but for now they just stopped the bleeding

Back at the tower you were rushed to the infirmary to get stitched up and no one left your room the whole time. The nurse had put a partition up as you had to be completely topless before being stitched and bandaged up though, so no one else could see you, but you kept poking your head out from behind it to talk to the others

"What happened to you back there?" Steve asked as the nurse started sanitising your wounds and you let out a few choice words in a hiss.

You told them everything that happened between hisses of pain and the looks on their faces ranged through shock, horror, disgust, sorrow and all the other bad expressions their faces could pull. There were even a few tears here and there. You were finished just as the nurse was sewing up your last wound.

"I'd say id kill them all but I already took care of that" Loki said through gritted teeth, a very homicidal look on his face

"You beat me to it, Reindeer Games" Tony agreed, looking nearly as homicidal as Loki did.

"Oh, can someone get these off me? They're cutting off my magic" you held out your wrists for Tony to look at the cuffs.

Apparently he was taking too long because Thor pushed to the front and broke them with his bare hands and then threw them to the floor.

"Thank you, Thor!" You smiled and hugged him as your whole body started glowing, your magic saying hello to you

"You're most welcome, Little One. I'm so glad you're back" and he planted a kiss on the top of your head.

Everyone started filtering out of the room as the nurse came in and told you to rest.

"Loki?" You called before he managed to leave. He turned back and came right to your side

"Yes?" He asked, worried there was something wrong

"Will you stay with me? I don't want to be alone" You asked timidly, a small blush rising to your cheeks

"Of course, if that is what you want" he smiled and pulled a chair closer to your bed so he could hold your hand as you drifted off into the best sleep you'd had in days
