Chapter 61 - Meeting the Guardians

"Let me just say, if aliens wind up implanting eggs in my chest or something, and I eat one of you, I'm sorry." Peter remarked as you were all looking around the desolate planet you had landed on

"You watch too many movies," You chuckled as you rolled your eyes at him

"I'm trying to say that...something is coming," Peter clarified and not five seconds later a small spherical object rolled in between you all.

You quickly put a shield around it to prevent whatever it was from attacking you, assuming Thanos and his goons were there already.

The ball exploded inside your shield and rocked the ground beneath you and three aliens swarmed you and started attacking.

One of them had some sort of plasma gun and was shooting at Tony, one was blue with red markings and went for Stephen and the other was a female bug looking creature who went for Peter. You felt slightly offended that they didn't find you dangerous enough to come after you.

You shielded Tony as the one with the gun and helmet had a ranged weapon and used your magic to throw him into a wall of debris. He turned his attention to you and started shooting, but you just put a shield around yourself and flew at him, punching him straight in the jaw and disorienting him for a while while you went to help Stephen.

The two of you pinned down the blue man and you kept him there with a foot on his chest but then the other male said, "Everybody stay where you are and chill the F out," from behind you. When you turned you saw that he was human looking and had an arm around Peter's neck and his gun pointing at his head.

"I'm gonna ask you this one time. Where's Gamora?" The human asked

"I'll do you one better, who is Gamora?" Tony asked with his repulsor pointing at the blue man

"I'll do you one better, why is Gamora?" The blue man said at your feet.

You looked at the blue man with a confused face and then back at the human

"Tell me where the girl is, or I swear to you, I'm gonna French-fry this little freak," the human demanded.

"No, you don't get to threaten baby Peter," You chuckled and put a shield around Peter which caused the human to lose his grip on Peter and you floated him over to by your side

"Oh, thanks Y/N," Peter chuckled nervously

The human looked beyond confused at what had just happened and pointed his gun at you now

"You don't want to tell me? Fine! I'll kill all of you and beat it out of Thanos myself!" The human yelled

"Okay, two things," You started to say as you took a menacing step towards the human, "One, you couldn't kill me if you tried and two, why would you think we are with Thanos?"

He looked at you confused

"What master do you serve?" Stephen demanded of the human, making you feel embarrassed at how he worded it

"What master do I serve? What am I supposed to say? "Jesus"?" The human challenged which made you laugh

"Wait, you're from Earth?" Tony asked the human

"No, i'm from Missouri," the human answered Tony

"That's on Earth you moron," You laughed

"Wait, so you're not with Thanos then?" You asked him

"With Thanos? No! I'm here to kill Thanos. He took my girl," The human answered you, looking confused. "Who are you guys?"

"We're The Avengers, man" Peter said, retracting his helmet to show his face as you took your foot off the blue man's chest and offered a hand to help him up, which he took and nodded his thanks.
