Chapter 57 - Battle stations

When you saw you were about to land, you formed shields around the three of you cushioning the crash slightly, but you still managed to have the wind knocked out of you.

You were on your back in the middle of Stephens Sanctum. You groaned as you sat up and rubbed your neck as you looked around you to check on Hulk and Loki. You were happy to see Hulk had changed back to Bruce. You didn't want your second visit there completely wrecking the place like umbrella-Mjolnir had done.

You saw Stephen floating towards you with his magic cape and a Chinese looking man just behind him.

"Y/N?" Stephen asked, looking concerned

"Yeh, hi. Sorry to barge in like that," You groaned as you took Stephens outstretched hand to help you up

"What happened?" He asked

"Thanos. He's coming for the Infinity Stones. We need to get Tony" You answered him quickly as you went over to Bruce and Loki to wake them up

"Wait, hold on. Who is this Thanos and why is he coming for the stones?" Stephen asked, wanting to get more information

"Look, all I know is he is this homicidal maniac who wants to wipe out half of all life in the universe and he needs the stones to do it. Wherever he goes he wipes out half of the population," You explained.

"Where are we?" Loki groaned as he sat up

"The wizards house" You answered

"There's a wizard?" Bruce groaned from the other side of Loki

"Yes, well they prefer Master of the Mystic Arts" You repeated the words Stephen had said however many Midgardian days ago that was. You turned back to Stephen. "Look, open me a portal to Tony Stark or don't, but I'm going to see him one way or another"

Stephen nodded and opened up one of his sparkly orange portals and you both went through it and found yourself in front of Tony and Pepper

"Tony Stark, I'm Doctor Stephen Strange. I need you to come with me. Oh, uh, congratulations on the wedding, by the way" Stephen said to Tony who was looking between the two of you in shock

"Princess? It's been nearly three years!" Tony gasped as he ran forwards and hugged you so hard it almost made you cry an realise how much you missed him

"Yeh, It's actually only been about three months for me" You laughed, tears now streaming down your face as you hugged him back just as hard

"What? Three months?" Tony asked, shocked by this information as he pulled back out of the hug to look at you

"Yeh, space time magic" You chuckled through your tears. "God's, I missed you so much"

"Not nearly as much as I missed you" Tony smiled, a few tears escaping his own eyes now

"Urm, sorry to interrupt the reunion but we have a rather pressing matter on our hands" Stephen said from next to you, bringing you back to the real world. The real and scary world

"Sorry, yes, of course. Tony, you need to come with us!" You agonised as you gestured to the portal behind you

"What? Why?" He asked, looking worried by the urgency you were talking to him in.

"Urm, Pep? Yeh, I gotta go see what's up" Tony said to Pepper who nodded and you, Tony and Stephen all stepped back through the portal and were back in the Sanctum

"Bruce!" Tony exclaimed when he saw his friend and Bruce all but launched himself at Tony. "Where have you been?! And Loki? I thought you were dead?"

"Long story. I found Bruce on an alien planet and no, it turns out he didn't die. We'll tell you about it later. Right now we need to worry about Thanos" You informed him, moving back over to Loki and pulling him in for a hug. You didn't have time to waste. Now Thanos has the space stone, he could be here any minute.

Are you okay?

Yes, well, apart from the fact Thanos now has the space stone.

I know, I'm sorry. I couldn't lose you a second time

"You don't mean the Thanos that sent Loki here to New York, do you?" Worry spread across Tony's face like Nutella on toast

"Yes, that Thanos," Loki blanched

"And he's coming here?" Tony reiterated

"Yes! He will be coming for Stephen's time stone and then he will be coming after Vision. Hell he might go after both at the same time!" You were nearly hysterical by this point

"What's our timeline?" Tony asked wearily

"No telling. He already has the Power stone and the Space stone" Bruce said glumly

"How did he get the Space stone? I thought that was safely on Asgard?" Tony gasped

"Asgards gone, Tony" You choked up at remembering your lost home. "It wasn't Thanos but it's gone. But Thanos attacked our Ark we were on, bringing our people to Earth. Gods, I hope Thor is okay". Could today get any worse?

"Thor? He was with you?" Tony asked

"Yeh but I had to get Brue and Loki away and it's all a mess and I'm really not doing okay," You felt a rising panic attack in you. Something that hadn't happened in a long while, but Tony saw you freaking out and came over to hug you. "Oh God's, Tony. Every where's going to shit" You sobbed into his shoulder

"Hey hey, it's okay. We will get through this" He cooed to you, stroking your hair

"Well, we know where the Time stone is, thanks to the Dr here. Where's Vision?" Bruce asked when you and Tony had stopped hugging

"Yeh, that's the thing. A lot has changed since you were all last here," Tony looked awkward now

"What do you mean?" Bruce asked, looking concerned

"The Avengers broke up. It's finished" Tony admitted looking sheepish

"What?! What do you mean?! I told you not to let the place burn down!" You exclaimed

"Yeh, long story behind that too," Tony looked uncomfortable now. Wow, it must have been bad. "Two weeks ago Vision turned his transponder off"

"You lost another super bot?!" Bruce exclaimed

"Who could find this Vision?" Stephen asked. You'd nearly forgotten he was even there

"Probably Steve Rogers" Tony admitted, still looking uncomfortable. You really needed to ask Tony what had happened while you had been away

"Well, call him?" You suggested

"It's not that easy," Tony sighed

"Well let me call him then?" You offered but Tony's attention wasn't on you. He was looking at Stephen

"Say, Doc, you wouldn't happen to be moving your hair, would you?" Tony asked, eyeing him

"Not at this precise moment, no, I'm not..." Stephen slowly answered, looking up at his own hair too as your attention went to it.

Everyone stopped talking and in the quiet you could here some sort of commotion coming from outside, so you cautiously made your way to the door of the Sanctum and opened it, slowly.
