Chapter 35 - Homeward bound

"Y/N? Y/N, it's time to get up now" Lokis voice woke you the following morning

You grumbled your protest but rubbed your eyes and turned over. When you opened your eyes and couldn't see you started to panic.

"Hey, hey. It's okay! Remember, you lost your sight but it's only temporary" Loki told you from the side of the bed next to you. The previous days events came back to you and you calmed down

"Oh yeh. That. This is going to be a long week" You sighed and threw the duvet off you

"You'll get through it and I'll be with you the whole time. And you know the team back home will be overprotective of you too" Loki assured you

"Yeh, I guess so. Can you help me choose something to wear and pack?" You asked

Less than half an hour later you were dressed and packed and ready to head home. You met Frigga and Thor at the palace stables and said your goodbyes.

"You're welcome here any time" Frigga told you as she gave you a hug and a kiss on the cheek after she had said goodbye to her sons.

Loki helped you onto his horse before he mounted himself behind you and then you were off back out of the city and down the rainbow bridge that you were very upset that you couldn't see

"Good morning, my prince's, Lady Y/N" Heimdalls voice came from in the bifrost chamber when you reached it

"Hi Heimdall!" You greeted him with a smile

"Take us home if you would, friend" Thor said and you clung onto Loki for dear life as you were sucked into the bifrost. Again, you were gutted you couldn't see the beautiful colours you knew that were around you.

When you landed you didn't falter like you did on your arrival to Asgard but that was probably due to you clinging onto Loki.

"Y/N! Where have you been?!" Buckys voice was real close to you and you accidentally let out a squeak of fear. "What?"

"Oh, it's a long story but im temporarily blind so I didn't see you there" You nervously chuckled

"You're what now?" Bucky asked, obviously confused

"Let's help the Little One inside and we can explain everything" Thor suggested

"Oh yeah, okay" Bucky said

"What did you mean 'where have you been'?" You asked as Loki helped you inside

"You've been gone for a week. You said you'd only be two nights" Bucky explained

"Time between realms is forever changing. We actually were only gone two nights on Asgard" Loki explained as you felt yourself walk inside

"Strange space magic" Bucky said and you could hear him pulling a face in his voice

"Strange space magic indeed" You agreed as you stepped into the elevator.

"Hey JARVIS! Can you get everyone in the lounge please?" You asked the AI

"Yes Miss Y/N" the AI answered you

"Thanks J" You thanked the AI as you stepped off the elevator when you heard the ding.

Loki helped you over to the sofa and made sure you were comfortable

"Princess! You're finally back!" Tonys voice came from by the kitchen.

"Hi Tony!" You greeted him, smiling with your eyes closed in his direction

"What's wrong? Why are you acting weird?" He asked, his voice closer to you now

"Let's wait for everyone to get here first. Saves explaining several times" Loki suggested

Everyone was in the lounge within the next five minutes so you thought it was time to get the show on the road

"So, what's this about Y/N?" Steve asked just as you were about to speak

You spent the next twenty minutes or so going over the details of the battle and you healing Frigga and going blind

"...and also, my eyes are apparently pure black and will be until my sight is back" You finished, glad no one interrupted you while you were talking.

"Okay, so it's not permanent?" Nat clarified

"No. Frigga said it'll be about a week before I get my sight back and be able to use my magic" You answered

"Lets see those black eyes then" Bucky said, you knew he was smiling

You opened your eyes and there were mixed reactions. You could have sworn you heard Steve mutter "Dear God", there were a few gasps and Tony and Bucky both said "Awesome"

"So, there you have it. Im an invalid for a week" you laughed

"Don't worry, we will all look after you" Tony assured you which made Loki shift a little next to you. Overprotective God, it was really sweet

"So, what time is it here now?" Yo asked everyone

"It's about 4pm" Clint answered you

"Anything interesting happen while we were gone?" You asked

"Nothing much. Stopped a hijacked runaway underground train when the authorities didn't know what else to do, but that's about it" Bruce answered

"Well I, for one, am happy to be back, even if i can't see all of your wonderful faces" you smiled

"Yeh, I'm glad you're back too. After the second night Tony didn't stop worrying about if you were alright" Clint chuckled and you imagine Tony gave him a dirty look

"Sorry that I was worried about my kid," Tony scoffed. He really did love you to pieces.

"Well I think we should have a pizza night. I won't need help eating pizza" You smirked and sat back in the sofa and leant into Loki a little

"Alright, I guess I'm paying. What does everyone want?" Tony asked and we all got our orders in and put on a film you had seen before so you could follow it just by listening.

It was a good evening and night all around and you felt much more comfortable being back home in familiar surroundings. Loki teleported you to your room at the end of the night so you didn't have to blindly walk through the tower, even though you insisted that you would be fine to do so and he stayed with you again through the night
