Chapter 34 - Sightlessness

It was a strange feeling being lead through the palace halls while not being able to see. You were clinging to Loki for dear life like if you let go of him for even a second you'd be lost forever.

"Are you okay?" He asked at some point. You weren't quite sure where you were though.

"Yeh, I'm okay. I'd feel more comfortable back home because I know my way around the tower. I just might stub my toes a few times" You joked, trying to ease his worry

"We will be going back tomorrow, don't worry" He assured you

You could hear voices getting louder in front of you now so you guessed you were close to the hall where people would be having their tea.

"We're here" Loki told you softly as you felt the air around you change as you walked through the doors of the hall

You heard a lot of the voices go quiet and some stop all together and it made you feel uneasy. 

"Why's everyone stopped talking?" You whispered to Loki. You were glad you couldn't see anything because you were fairly certain that everyone was looking at you

"Not to alarm you but everyones looking at you" He whispered back to you as you continued to walk

"Why? Because I'm suddenly blind?" You asked

"Because you went blind from saving their Queen and nearly killed yourself to do so. They're admiring you" Loki informed you. You really wanted to use you magic to read their minds to see if it was true but there was next to no magic left in you

"Are you sure? Can you look into their minds for me?" You asked

"I already did and what I said is true" he said and you could hear the smile on his face. "They're also interested in your choice of escort"

"They'd have a heart attack if they knew we kissed earlier" You giggled like a school girl which made Loki laugh. "I know you're the one who kissed me but are you sure you're okay with...us?"

"I would not have done it if I wasn't" he answered and you could still hear the smile in his voice

"Good. I'm glad" You smiled

"Ah, Mother. Good evening, '' Loki said suddenly. Well, it wouldn't have seemed so sudden if you could have seen you were approaching her

"Good evening, Frigga'' You smiled in what you hoped was the right direction. Turns out it wasn't as Loki gently turned your head a little to the left. "Oh, my bad'' you said embarrassed

"No need to feel embarrassed, my dear" Frigga said to you and you felt her take your hand. "Here, please sit"

You heard Loki move behind you and then the sound of a chair being pulled out from under the table. He helped guide you down as you felt around for it before you completely sat down then you heard him sit down on your left, which meant Frigga was on your right.

"So glad to see you are up and around" Frigga said, you could hear the smile in her voice too

"Yeh, it was a bit of a shock waking up blind but Loki said I should have it back in a few days" You smiled back to her

"Well by the looks of your eyes it may take up to a week, but yes, it will return" She replied

"What do you mean by the look of my eyes?" You asked, confused

"You haven't told her yet?" Frigga asked of Loki, you assumed

"Not yet, no" Loki answered her, sounding a bit sheepish

"Well, Y/N your eyes in their current state are black. Not just the pupil and iris, you whole eye" Frigga explained to you

"Oh! Well, okay. I bet that looks creepy. I wish i could see it" You laughed, glad it wasn't anything more serious
