^-^....

Kaito in fact, did not end up feeling better and remained feeling weak for the rest of the day and the entirety of the next morning. Thankfully by noon, he felt good enough to properly remove himself from being curled up in his fuzzy blue blanket.

Ai had come over to check on him. To make sure that his illness wouldn't weaken his restraint when it came to wanting blood. She'd ended up concluding that Kaito's own stress had been the cause of his sickness. The body was a weird thing, even more so when one wasn't even human anymore. Shinichi had just been relieved that it hadn't really been anything serious.

Now it was nighttime, and the sleuth was asleep. Kaito was wide awake, if not a bit physically tired from being ill. He was supposed to meet up with the little scientist again. Kaito wasn't really in the mood to be knocked unconscious again, but he was eager to have her help. Ai was the one developing different ways for him to obtain nutrients from blood after all. Angering her wouldn't help anybody.

So he snuck out of the house, the task easy like it's always been. Kaito didn't knock on the door, he never did. He was to slip inside and head down into her lab. The little scientist wanted to keep him as far away from the professor as possible so he hadn't actually interacted with the guy since coming to stay with Shinichi.

"Get on the table" Ai wasted no words with him, a needle held ready in her hand "There's some things I want to check out" The quicker they had these meetings, the less likely it was for Shinichi to find out about them.

Kaito nodded, doing as she said. It was routine by now so he allowed unconsciousness to take hold after he felt the needle prick his arm.

Ai sighed, shoulders becoming a little more relaxed now that the magician was unconscious. She still felt uneasy around him, and preferred to not be alone with him for too long unless he was unconscious. He was dangerous and strong. He was also kindhearted enough to have people lower their guards around him. She knew for a fact that Kaito meant no harm towards anyone. That didn't matter though, his instincts could still take over him if something went wrong.

She drew multiple vials of blood before hooking Kaito up to an IV that would keep him unconscious for however long she needed him to be. So far each batch of blood samples had differed from the previous one. Not by a lot, but any change was something that she needed to keep an eye on. In fact, Kaito's eyes had already changed and now looked different.

With a grimace, Ai took out a sterile scalpel. She'd already extracted some of the magician's teeth for comparison, and they'd grown back just fine. Kaito's jaw had been incredibly stiff the next day, but the teen had had no reason for the cause.

Attempting to remove the right eye ended up as a partial failure to Ai's surprise. The magician's right eye had been artificial! So how had it's colouration changed to match his left eye? While the removal had been a success, she'd wanted an organic eye. The wiring was odd, and connected to wires made up of the same shiny red substance that encased the other's heart. Had it been trying to heal him?

Ai was tempted to peel back Kaito's skin, to follow the wire-like substance. She didn't. Biting her lip, Ai grimaced. She didn't know how to put the artificial eye back in... The little scientist eyed the empty socket, it had healed at least a year ago. Maybe if she.... Not wanting to get caught, she jabbed the scalpel into the socket, damaging the flesh anew. It was messy and bloody. Damage was the intent.

Once she judged the socket to be suitably damaged, Ai turned her attention towards Kaito's flesh eye. She paused, gaze flitting back towards the damaged socket, blood was pooling freely and had started to overflow. With a gloved hand, she stuck a few fingers inside, letting out a breath when she felt something growing. She'd be able to safely extract the eye without rendering the teen blind.

Turning her attention back towards the left eye, Ai carefully inserted the bloodied scalpel into the socket, right next to the eye. She wanted it to be as undamaged as possible for easier comparison. It was slow going, but carving out someone's eye wasn't something many people were practiced in, even less so were those that had a valid reason for doing so.

The blood made her grip slippery, but in the end the eye was extracted... It also had shiny red tendrils connecting to it's back. There were no actual wires, which had been expected. Ai quickly stored the eye, preserving it for later study.

When she came back to the magician's side, Ai couldn't help but grimace. Seeing two sockets overflowing with blood was disturbing. The mess had been a greater one than she'd expected, she wouldn't be able to clean up everything in time before she needed to awaken Kaito... She checked the right socket again, the presumed eye was bigger than last time, but was still growing. Growing back organs apparently took longer than mending skin. It was a reasonable discovery, eyes were a lot more complex.

With how much blood Kaito had lost, Ai made sure to acquire a large quantity of the magician's blood mixture for him to drink. When the other's eyes were fully formed, she'll leave out the blood, then unhook the IV and lock the door until the magician was lucid enough to ask to be let out. She of course would be on the other side of the door. She was expecting him to wake up ravenous.

Ai didn't feel guilty, not at all. The magician's DNA was something that she needed to study. It wasn't like she was actually harming him anyways, in fact, he now had two real eyes because of her... Ai sighed, closing her eyes. What they didn't know wouldn't hurt them.

Me: Hehe... very fun to write~ Ai being a creepy scientist is fun~

Cleaning my room has always made me happy. As a child, every six months or so I'd rearrange everything, my bed, my dresser, everything

Sometimes I put my bed in my closet (never had a bed frame until I was at least a teen) my bed was queen sized and was curled to fit, sticking out...

Hmm I actually still have a scar from one of my bed springs... XP (Family was very poor)

I can't rearrange all my stuff anymore since it's all heavy and all my belongings are in a single room... But I can clean everything >~<

I feel so happy in my clean room >~<
