Gore time~

They ended up watching all of the Ice Age movies before Ran eventually departed to make her father a late dinner. Kaito and Shinichi ended up eating french toast since it was quick and had lots of protein, not to mention easy to cook. They then chatted for a bit until Shinichi decided to head for bed.

Kaito waited until he was perfectly sure that the sleuth was in a deep sleep before heading over to see Ai. He was due for another examination apparently. At least the drugs seemed to prevent him from dreaming, he wouldn't be forced to think about the events that had happened earlier. No good dreams could possibly come for him tonight.

"Kudo-kun shouldn't be staying up so late when he's not working on a case" The tiny scientist scolded as Kaito silently slipped into the lab. She was already preparing her most recent concoction that would keep the magician unconscious. With Kaito's condition, she could freely try out new sedatives without the worry of killing him. Using the same thing too often could lead to him building a resistance to it after all.

Kaito grimaced, eyeing the big needle that Ai was holding "Mouri-chan insisted that Kudo needed to see every Ice Age movie" Was it just him, or was the scary scientist using bigger and bigger needles? Surely a normal sized one would work just fine! "She also insisted that it couldn't wait because knowing his luck, they'd never get around to watching them"

Ai nodded, having seen the first few movies herself "Kudo's luck is terrible so I guess it was a good call" She was all for the sleuth experiencing things that his spoiled lifestyle prevented him from doing.

The magician sat down on the medical cot "Are you not going to tell me about what you're going to do this time? Like you always do?" It was unnerving, but Shinichi trusted her, so in turn he trusted the tiny scientist. Ai didn't want him to harm Shinichi, so she was going to help him be as normal as possible.

Keeping her gaze steady on the needle Ai replied "You don't need to know" It would only imbalance his mental stability if he learned about how often she cut him up. Nobody liked being dissected, and if they did... Well she'd rather avoid those sorts of weirdos. Kaito was a weirdo, but a reasonable one.

Kaito's shoulders slumped but he didn't argue, arguing just made Ai bring out a bigger needle. He leaned back so that he was lying down, closing his eyes "Okay, jab me when you're ready" Hopefully he woke up after the restraints were removed.

Ai silently stepped over and pressed the needle into the muscle of his shoulder. Intramuscular injections were absorbed and processed faster when it came to the magician's strange new biology. Oral medications were iffy and she wanted good results.

While she knew that the magician wouldn't harm her, she still strapped him down tightly with restraints to be safe. She was often very invasive, so she wanted him as still as possible in case Kaito started to wake up early. Just recalling how Kaito's insides had started to fall out as he'd sat up in his drugged haze was enough for her to never want to enact a repeat. Ai had seen people's insides countless times, usually said people were already dead or rapidly dying. Kaito had been neither, so it had been unnerving. Thankfully the drugs were good enough to prevent the other from remembering the incident.

Once the magician was well and truly unconscious, Ai got to work and removed his shirt. She didn't need to extract any tissue samples again, or at least not for a while. Kaito's pulse was checked, it was slightly fast for someone unconscious but that was fine. She pulled out her scalpel and set to work, fighting against the regenerating flesh with repetitive cuts until the tissue's growth slowed to almost a halt. The blade had been coated with a serum to halt the regeneration, it wouldn't last too long but she could always reapply it as needed.

Warm blood heated her hands through the gloves, pooling then overflowing down onto the ground. While the tissue couldn't regenerate, the blood could so it was a never ending flow. The warmth of the magician's innards said he was alive, but Ai wasn't so sure. She sliced open the stomach, forcing the contents to spill out. Blood, and tiny red flakes that weren't blood. No stomach acid or food.

While she could compress the flakes under a large amount of pressure to create a stone, she just discarded them. Emptying the stomach prevented them from entering his bloodstream and building up somewhere in his body. Kaito's heart was truly unreachable now. His innards around the area were solid, the growth had overtaken almost his entirety of his chest's insides, shiny and hard, like a gemstone bathed in blood. An ultrasound previously had shown that his heart was gone, cannibalized by the growth, and probably even more organs were gone now too.

The shiny red tendrils that she'd previously spotted were much more numerous than before, stretching up from the growth to his head, or more precisely his eyes. Ai wasn't optimistic enough to believe that his eyes were the only things the tendrils were attached too. Pursing her lips, Ai cut and began to peel back the skin of his neck, then his face, pinning the skin flaps to keep them out of her way.

Was it weird feeling more comfortable cutting Kaito open now that she couldn't see his face? Ai shook her head and began to carefully work on breaking into the skull. This part she had to be careful with, because the brain was delicate and destroying it would actually end the magician's existence. She didn't get far though, the drill was stopped by a familiar shiny red barrier.

Nauseous, Ai didn't have the heart to check to see if the brain had met the same fate as his heart. Kuroba Kaito was dead. Kuroba Kaito was still walking amongst the living, a parasitic rock forming within him.

Me: This was quite fun to write ^-^ Being mean to Kaito is always nice
