94: Tomorrow

You woke up still snuggled in the safety of Chase’s arms. Your face was buried in his chest and it was the first time in a long time that you’d woke up feeling totally at peace. When you looked up, Chase was already awake and looking at you, sweetly:
“Good morning.”

You scooted closer to him and looked him in the eyes as you brushed his tousled hair out of his face. He really was such a beautiful boy. His blue eyes pierced through to the heart of you.

Chase laughed, shyly:
“We never got around to watching that movie, ya know.”

You: “I have no regrets about last night. I was exactly where I wanted to be, doing exactly what I wanted to be doing.”

Chase kissed the tip of your nose before agreeing:
"1000% the same."

You squeezed him a little tighter and sighed:
"I don't wanna get up. For being a fairly cheap room, this bed feels like heaven."

Chase: “You know we have to go home and face reality eventually, right?”

You buried your face in his chest and shook your head. He chuckled and it shook your body before he kissed the top of your head. After a moment of cuddling, he finally brought up the subject you'd been most dreading:
“Are you going to do anything about Noah?”

You: “I- I don’t know.”

For the first time you realized that you hadn’t thought about the awful thing that almost happened with Noah yesterday.

Chase: “He should be in jail! You have to know that. ”

You: “I said I don't know. I just want to forget any of that even happened.”

Chase placed a very sweet but innocent peck against your pouty lips before arguing:
“I think I’m proof denying something can lead to a big mess. Look at what I put Jaden through all because I couldn't admit I liked him."

You: "Are you ever going to call him back?"

Chase sighed:
"Probably. I promised I would try to be friends so I kinda have to I guess."

You: "Can you even see how great you might be as more than friends?"

Chase laughed, more heartily this time:
"Are we really talking about my potential love life with a guy while you're still laying in bed with me?"

You: "I don't think I've ever felt this close to someone. I think if we can manage to stay close through this then there isn't anything we can't talk about and get through together."

Chase: "Okay, what about Josh?"

You: "Oh no. We aren't talking about that."

Chase pinned you down, playfully and pretended to be extremely offended:
"What? Some best friend you are?!"

You: "It's not because of you. I'm just still a lot more hurt than he realizes that he just bailed on me. He didn't even give me a chance to explain."

Chase squeezed you back into a tight hug:
"No matter what, I gotchu sweetheart."

Time to head home but what happened with Chase last night doesn't seal it as choosing him. So regardless would you like to see it drive us apart or closer friends than ever?
