Shadow watched as the students filed in. Trying to watch for familiar black bear ears, but was met with none. Shadow tsked at how late Koda was, but he did like to sleep in from time to time. His eyes wandered over to a student with blonde hair, sitting by himself, that was new, usually Amelio was next to him. 'Allie was his name... right?' He thought to himself and squinted his eyes in thought. The teacher came and quieted the class down, "Children, Children. There has been a case of the stomach flu going around. We'll need everyone's help with cleaning the desks and chairs. We don't want anyone else getting sick" Shadow glanced over at the empty spot next to him, he frowned. 'Did Koda get sick and not tell me?' His eyes went over to Allie, he studied the features on the young cow's face. Allie looked stricken with grief, has he never been by himself? Shadow felt something stir in the pit of his stomach, did he feel bad for him?
Nonetheless, Shadow was passed a wipe and was set on cleaning his desk. He finished in less then 20 seconds unlike most of his classmates who were just screwing around. "Watch me snort this" he overheard one of them and did just as he said. Shadow grimaced, he really hated people, and grabbed his book from his backpack and sat back down in his seat once it was dry. "Donny don't do that!" The teacher yelled and Shadow immediately tuned out the argument/lecture from her. He peeked over his book and saw Allie twiddling his thumbs, he looked extremely nervous, did he not function fully without Amelio there or something? 'He's a jackass anyways' Shadow thought. 'Well maybe only to me' he groaned internally, he should be basking in the silence, but without Koda being next to him and Allie being so pathetically lonely, he couldn't help it.
Shadow looked over to the teacher, who was now making the group of drug students sweep the floor. Shadow weighed the pros and cons of talking with the young cow before sighing and crumpling up his bookmark, chucking it at the small boy. Allie tensed up immediately when it hit his back and he slowly turned around, fear in his eyes, searching the room before his eyes laid on Shadow. Shadow, feeling a bit guilty for spooking him, waved awkwardly. Allie smiled softly, not as tense anymore, and waved awkwardly back before turning around. Shadow watched as Allie sighed and took out a book of his own from his backpack with a small smile. Shadow raised his eyebrow in confusion, but brushes it off. 'He must've been relieved to see someone he knew??' Shadow questioned in his mind and went back to his book, now without a bookmark. 'Whatever, he's more tolerable then the other one. He's alright'
