Jamey burst out laughing at Alex's facial expressions. "You should've seen your face!" He snickered as Alex gaped at him. "I pull that joke all the time with Jerry. Demon wouldn't have been my first choice, but y'know" he grinned and ruffled up Alex's hair. "I don't believe in that religious crap anyways. You grow up in a religious home?" He tilted his head a bit as he Alex continued with his silence. "Hello?" He asked and waved his hand in front of his face. Alex looked at him before tears started to form, Jamey's eyes widened, "oh shi- I mean shoot! I-I'm sorry! Why are you crying?" He sat next to him and wiped Alex's tears away. Alex buried his face into his side and held onto his shirt the best he could. Jamey rubbed his back comfortingly as Alex cried into his shirt. He didn't exactly know why he was crying, maybe he missed Max. Max would always pull pranks on him and then they would both laughed it off. Maybe he missed his parents, Jamey reminded him of Lucifer, but more nice and definitely warmer.
Alex sniffed and muttered a small apology. He left snot all over Jamey's shirt. "It's fine. I'm sorry, I didn't know you were serious. Why did you wanna know I was a demon?" He tilted Alex's head towards him and reached over to a convenient tissue box, sitting on top of their small coffee table. Alex sat still as Jamey wiped his tears and cleaned the snot off his face. "You seemed weird" Alex answered after Jamey finished. "I know about Demons and Angels! They are real" Alex rubbed his face as Jamey listened. "You're really smart, I thought you were a demon. Demons are pretty smart and they trick you! I thought you were gonna trick me" Jamey blinked at him before stifling a chuckle. Alex frowned, making Jamey clear his throat, "I'm not a demon!" He said quickly. "Why would I try and trick you? I have no reason too. Plus you were unconscious for a good while. Don't you think I could've done something to you while you were knocked out?" Alex thought for a moment before nodding. "I guess so. So you're not a demon?" Jamey shook his head. "Seriously though. What's with the demons?" Alex looked away. "No reason"
Jamey sighed softly. "Well, it looks like you're healing up well" Jamey said, changing the subject. "You're a fast healer" he commented and turned to a bookshelf filled with different colored books. "Why don't I read you a story?" He asks and holds up a book.

Jerry trudged through the forest holding Chris's hand. Chris, who was bent at an awkward angle, lead him through the trees and making sure to check behind him. Max held onto Jerry's hand tightly, like he was expecting something bad to happen. This raised all kinds of red flags in his head, but for now, he'll have to observe. Lucifer and Angelo were right behind them, awkwardly following the stranger. Faz was trying to grab the tree leaves, more interested in them then whatever is happening around the adults. Angelo sighed softly as he watched Max, he was so big now. "I missed them so much..." he whispered softly, "but... he treats me like he doesn't know me" Angelo turned to Lucifer with tears in his eyes. He received a grunt in response. Angelo whined softly and buried his face in his chest, causing them both to stop walking. "Angie" Lucifer said sternly. Angelo didn't budge and held onto his suit tight. Lucifer sighed and picked him up, making Faz squeal. "Mommy!" He shouted and hugs him, just happy that his dad is carrying them both.
Chris glanced behind him. "We're almost there" he says and continues onwards. Jerry nods happily and looks around, "I should show you how to forage! I found some tasty mushrooms before! Jamey cooked them once with meat! It tasted so good! He said if I was a good enough boy, he'll make me mushroom stew!" He grinned widely, beaming at Max. Who in return, smiled weakly and nodded, "Sounds great" he softly replied and looked straight-forward. Jerry tilted his head at Max's response, but was easily distracted by a squirrel. Chris sighed, Max was clearly nervous to be himself around the two behind them. He made a mental note for later and finally saw his cabin in view. "There it is" he said and let go of Jerry's hand. Jerry beamed and immediately ran towards their cabin door, dragging along poor Max as he kept a death grip on his hand, "JAMEY!" Jerry yelled out and threw open the door.
Alex jumped from his spot as Jamey seemed unfazed. Jerry giggled and ran over to hug him, "I missed you! Did you miss me?!" He turned to Alex. "You're awake! We got food! My name is Jerry! What's your name?!" Alex opened his mouth slightly before getting cut off by the younger boy, "oh! Duh! It's Alex! I knew that already! Max said that" he pointed at the stunned boy next to him. Alex smiled weakly at him, "Hey bro bro" he said softly. Max's eyes became glassy as tears formed in the corner of his eyes, he started bawling as he hugged Alex.
As the two siblings hugged, Chris entered into the cabin. "Dad!" Jamey greeted and went over to him, stopping when he noticed the two behind him. "Who are you guys?" He asked and looked at Chris. Jerry ran over and hugged Jamey's leg, "Those are Max's parents! I think. That's what Max said" Lucifer pushed his way in, putting Angelo down and looked around. "Nice place" he muttered. Chris huffed and headed towards the kitchen, "Kitchen" Jamey nodded and followed him, still wary of the three strangers in their house. Angelo was quiet the whole time, holding Faz close to him, afraid that he was gonna disappear from his grip. Faz tilted his head at everyone around the room. He didn't really know who these people were and didn't really understand what was happening, but he was there so he wanted in on it!
The twins were too busy in each other's arms to pay attention to the two adults in the room. "I missed you so much!" Max said and buried his face in Alex's bandaged chest. "I'm so sorry, I left you there!" Max whined as Alex ran his fingers through his hair. "It's okay! I'm alive aren't I?" He smiled happily. Angelo watched the two, feeling his eyes fill with tears again, he missed them so much. "My babies are so precious" he said softly. Alex finally turned to them and his eyes widened. "Mom!" Alex looked at Faz and smiled. "Faz!" He chirped and made grabby hands at them. Angelo squealed and immediately hugged them both. Lucifer scoffed and leaned against the wall, even if he didn't act like it, he did slightly enjoy seeing Angelo so happy with Max and Alex.
Meanwhile Jamey was helping Chris put away the groceries. "I don't trust them" Jamey said as he opened the fridge and put away the milk carton. Chris chuckled softly as he stored the meat in their freezer. "You say that to everyone we meet" Chris looked at him as Jamey huffed. "Maybe" he answered, "But I don't like them. They're clearly not Max and Alex's parents! First of all they're both men. Second of all, the mother is blonde and one of the kids has bear ears!" Chris nodded, thinking about it. "They probably adopted, though I can't really vouch for them. Everything about them screamed... bad parents"
Jamey sighed. "How long are they here for?" Chris shrugged, "I believe they only came to get Max and Alex back" Jamey tsked and sighed. "Alright. Should we keep an eye on them? I kinda like Alex" Jamey folded up the shopping grocery bags. "Sure, but I'm sure we'll never seem em again after this" And Jamey agrees.
