Jamey greedily scarfed down the food that was presented to him. "How long were you guys out there?" Chris asked as he fed Jerry with warm milk out of a baby bottle. "Um... I don't know" Jamey said as he felt the bandages against his head. "But we hit a wolf, I think... My Mommy was talking and then she screamed Wolf! And then we ended up in the woods and Mommy was asleep" he chewed on his piece of bread, not noticing the way Chris tensed up. Wolves were always wandering on the freeway so close to the woods, he protested against it, but they still made it and now two women were dead because of it. Chris sighed, "Guess I'll have to take care of you guys" he said and looked down at Jerry.
~ Present ~
"How did you get here? Do you have any parents? Do you prefer Duck over Rabbit? Do you like turtles? Do yo-" Jamey covered Jerry's mouth as Chris continued to work on patching up both Max and Alex. "Thank you Jamey" Chris said and put on a few more bandages on Alex's head. "Good" he muttered and stepped away, watching as Max held onto Alex's hand. Jamey uncovered Jerry's mouth and walked towards the kitchen, "I'll make dinner" Jerry grinned and hopped over to the twins, he looked down at the poor unconscious boy before turning towards Max. "Is this your brother?" Max deadpanned at him, but nodded. "Gee, I wonder how you never knew" Jerry gave him a big smile. "I know! You guys are totally unalike! It's pretty cool!" Max raised an eyebrow, he's never really seen such a bubbly person, must be nice considering he's from an actual family. Max felt himself grow cold, "Listen, I don't really feel like talking right now... I left my brother to die on his own and it's my fault anyways" He looked down at Alex and played with his red hair softly. "I should've just... paid more attention. You told me too... you..." he felt tears well up in his eyes, before wiping them away with his tattered sleeve.
Chris put a hand on Max's head, causing him to flinch. "None of it was your fault. They were bad men" he said trying to comfort the child. "They were evil and probably would've killed you. You guys were just trying to survive. You guys deserve better" Max looked away from him, he didn't deserve such kind words from a man that saved him, he's a disgusting child that no one would want. Max shook his hand off and looked down, "Thanks, but... no thanks" Chris frowned softly at them, before smiling. "At least stay with us for awhile. You must be hungry, My son cooks wonderful meals. Have you ever had rabbit stew?" Right on cue, Max's stomach growled. "I-I can't say I have" he replied, making Jerry beam. "You have to try it! My Brother makes a delicious rabbit stew! It's to die for!!" He spoke up and ran into the kitchen. Max felt himself smile softly, before blushing and looking away, he'll stay and eat, but this was no place for him... at least... he thinks so.
~ with Lucifer and Angelo ~
Lucifer held Faz's hand as they made their way up to the surface. Angelo gave Faz a big smile as they tidied themselves up, "this is your first time in the surface world! I'm so proud of you!" Faz giggled as his mother made such a fuss about his appearance. "I'm gonna see humans!!" Lucifer grunted. "Not without us of course" Angelo held his other hand felt himself tighten his grip gently, 'Maybe... Maybe I'll see them... I want to see them...' Angelo thought as they reached the surface.
