Also this is before Ami and Shadow realize they have feeings for each other, but since Ami (playfully) flirts with everyone, he still (actually) flirts with Shadow, BUT due to constant rejection, he met Raymond, a new kid from a different highschool and instantly got a crush, so he's trying it out for the first time.
Basically boyfriend kind of thing until something happens then blah blah blah, shadow gets with Amelio
