Jerry yawned as he watched Max take a sip from his coffee cup. They both sat in silence, enjoying the sunlight beaming through the window and the birds chirping outside. Jerry watched Max lazily as Max took gentle sips from his mug and lazily scrolled through his phone, possibly checking out Twitter. Jerry sighed contently and scooted closer to him, "This is perfect" He said earning a glance from Max, "what is?" Max replied with sleep laced in his tone. "Everything about our mornings. Calm and collected" Jerry ran a finger up and down his arm, earning a small kiss on his forehead from Max. "That's true, y'know I was just looking at our photos from when we were younger" Jerry laid his head on his shoulder and stared at Max's phone. "Mostly a bunch of.. sex stuff, but there are really cute selfies from you in here"

Max showed him a bunch of photos of Jerry in multiple different poses, a few peace signs here and there. Sometimes Jamey would pop up flipping him the finger and Max would be in the background without his signature beard. Even a cute video of Jerry pretending to take a photo with Max, but it was all a trick just to see his reaction. Jerry watched as Max stared fondly at the photos, something in his brain clicked and he immediately frowned. "Hey Max?" He asked which only got him a "hm?" In response, without Max looking up. "Did you marry me for my looks?" That got his attention as he whipped his head towards him, "No?? Why would you think that?" It reassured Jerry at how little hesitance was behind his words and that made him want to dismiss any intruding thoughts, I mean they're still together after 50 years, but there was just a little nagging fear, "You stared at the pictures so fondly. Do you miss us being young?" Max shrugged. "I dunno" he replied, "I mean probably, but it's more of a... I can't believe we made it this far. Back when we were inexperienced kids who were just looking for some good times. I mean, I was a boy toy in hell before I met you" Jerry laughed. "So was I!" He replied happily. Max grinned, "I'm glad my bestie introduced us. Otherwise we never would've met. Back when we didn't have Jax, back when we lived in.. y'know" Jerry's face flushed.

"Don't remind me. It smelled awful and 8 people living there did not help. Especially when more people started showing up, including us" jerry deadpanned as Max snorted and wrapped his arms around him. "Kinda hurts that you'd think, I'd think any less of you babe" Jerry buried his face in his chest. "I know, I'm sorry" he replied. "I can't help it. Scars from such a long time ago still haven't healed" He felt fingers running through his hair. "It's okay, I'm still here helping you go through it everyday" Jerry felt tears well up in his eyes, but he didn't wanna ruin the moment by crying out his sad feelings, he'd cry another time about being sad. Right now he wanted to cry about being happy. "That was so sappy" Jerry snarked and giggles into his husband's shirt. Max fake pouted and buried his face in Jerry's moppy hair, "I can't help, but be sappy around you"

Jerry held Max's hand and gave it a small kiss, "I can't help, but be sappy around you too" Max smiled. "Since when have you ever been sappy around me?" Jerry gave another kiss to Max's hand, "I treat you like a princess and you don't say shit" Max's face flushed a bit and looked to the wall, which was very interesting right now, "I don't know what you're talking about" Jerry's smile grew as he opened his mouth and the couple began arguing about how sappy they are towards each other and how much they secretly love it.
