Chris sighed as he helped Jerry to his feet. "C'mon Jerry. You're 9 now. Tie your shoes" Jerry stuck his tongue out at his father figure. "No! I will never! My feet wanna be free and stick to the mud!" He squirmed in his grip. Chris held on tighter, chuckling. "You're a menace" he answered as Jerry pouted. He was sat down on a log and was forced to watch Chris tie his shoes. "Bullshit" he muttered and Chris stopped. He lifted his head and stared Jerry straight in his eyes. Jerry tilted his head. "What?" He asked and Chris squinted his eyes at him, "Where did you learn that word?" He demanded and at that moment, Jerry realized he made his dad angry. "F-from um.. what's his name.. uhh Max's daddy!" Jerry stuttered slightly and stuck his thumb in his mouth. An old habit he stuck with whenever he got nervous. Chris sighed and rubbed between his eyes, "I'm gonna kill Lucifer" he muttered and helped Jerry to his feet. "That's a bad word Jerr. Don't ever say it again"

Jerry nodded and kept sucking on his thumb. He held his hand out and made a grabby motion. Chris took his hand and started leading him out of the woods. Jamey was patiently waiting for them on the house porch. "You find him?" He yelled once Chris stepped into view. Chris pulled Jerry to his side smiling, Jamey smiled softly. "Don't run off like that Jerry!" He scolded and Jerry blew a raspberry at him. Chris flicked his forehead. "Don't be mean to your brother" Jerry groaned and slowly fell to the floor, going limp, but still holding onto Chris's hand. "You always take his side!" He grumbled and looked up at him. Chris sighed and started dragging him back to the house. Jerry giggled as the grass tickled him while he was being dragged. Jamey opened the door for him chuckling. "Anyways, what school were you thinking?" Chris shrugged and picked up Jerry the best he could, he was 9 after all, but pretty small. "The closest to here. I want you guys to have an education of the outside world" Jerry huffed and buried his face in his stomach, reminding Chris of when Jerry was a baby. "I don't need an edumacation! I wanna stay home and read my picture books! I wanna stay home with you! School sounds boring!" Jerry whined and looked at him with glassy eyes.

Chris sighed softly and gave a small kiss to his head. "Don't start" Jamey looked at them. "School would be good for you Jerry. You could meet a lot more people" Chris nodded, "Plus Jamey's gonna be there too, but on the big side" Jamey blinked allowing his words to process though his head before whipping his head towards Chris. "What?!"

Jamey stared at the intimidating building in front of him. He took a deep breathe and held Jerry's hand. "This is gonna suck!" Jerry commented, making a frowny face. Jamey sighed and looked at him smiling, "for once. I agree with you"
