His chest suddenly buzzed several minutes later, vibrating with an incoming call from your phone. "Good grief. I'm sure it's Erwin," he muttered.
"He's just gonna keep calling. You ought to let me answer." You pulled your head back.
"No." He snatched your wrists again, gluing them together and taking them in one hand, using the other to withdraw the phone. Answering, he refused to let you witness the conversation as he kept the device at his ear. "Again, Erwin?"
Your fingers weakly reached for the device but he shoved your hands into your chest, keeping them far from him.
"What do you need from (y/n)? Why do you keep calling?" Levi kept you at arm's length as he continued talking with the caller.
"He could tell me himself, you know." You spoke loud enough so Erwin could hear.
"Shut up," Levi hissed. "Erwin, I told you to quit calling. We're busy."
You tried wriggling out of his clutch, as fruitless as always. "We're not busy! We're literally not doing anything right now."
"For pity's sake-- quiet, (y/n)."
"Then let me have the phone," you whined.
Sighing, Levi let go of your wrists, instead devoting his single free hand to taking the back of your head and shoving your face into the crook of his neck, muffling your lips against his skin. "There, she's quiet. What do you want, Erwin?"
You kept pushing, pawing at his chest with no success. Your free hands barely helped your cause; Levi was simply too immovable.
"That isn't the case," Levi responded to Erwin. "I'm not that controlling. I just...want her. To myself. So quit calling."
A smothered groan left your mouth, a poor attempt at speaking. You could open your jaw, but not much articulation was possible beyond that.
"Just tell me what you have to tell her. I'll pass it on."
Your tongue accidentally lashed across his skin, and a new idea came to mind.
"What could possib-- kh, shit!" Levi shrieked as you bit him, your teeth sinking into his tender skin and eliciting what was surely a burst of fierce pain in his body. Your head was torn away so harshly your whole body flew back, tossed far from your victim. "You and your damn biting!" Levi roared as he climbed off the couch, phone still in hand. He ran a few fingers across the injury, wiping up residual saliva and grimacing in disgust.
You got to your feet, ready to anticipate the actions of a pissed off Levi.
"Shut up, Erwin. I don't want to hear it." Levi scoffed at whatever remark Erwin let out.
"Give me the phone, Levi." You continued with your original mission, fully aware you wouldn't succeed.
"What are-- I'm not telling you that!" Levi was still focused on talking to his colleague. "That's my decision, not yours. Stay out of this."
"Wait, what is he saying?"
Levi was far too distracted by Erwin to let his rage out, apparently conflicted with what was being told to him. You were anxious to know, curious as to what was spurring such a reaction in your master.
"I don't have one. I couldn't-- oh." Levi paused, then grunted, perhaps struck with a realization that Erwin encouraged. "Fine. I'll take your advice, but you don't get any part beyond that. Yes. Yes, I know that knot."
"Levi, what are you talking about?" You wanted to charge him and take the phone for yourself, but you knew that doing so would be a death sentence.
"I know." Levi was completely ignoring you verbally, though he did begin taking quick steps towards you.
