On Monday morning you failed to wake up in time to see Levi and Erwin leave, your two housemates once again gone to the university without you. Alone in bed, you checked your phone to find it was already 9:30. It's Levi's literature analysis class right now. Leaning against the headboard, you sent a text to the two professors.
"Have a good day at work you two!"
"You as well," Erwin replied shortly after.
"Levi's teaching right now isn't he?"
"Yes. I'm in class with him."
Erwin goes to Levi's classes too? That's sweet. "Hey I'm still his intern. You're not allowed to replace me."
"I won't. I don't think Levi will be very happy if I tried to."
"Neither would I! Title of Levi's intern belongs to me."
"It certainly does."
"Damn right."
"Get your chores and schoolwork done. There's enough laundry to start a load, and I'd appreciate it if you would wipe down the kitchen counters."
"You got it. See you later."
"Yes, see you."
You found a nice pair of jeans Levi had purchased, matching it with a casual tee quite similar to its siblings. Dressed and prepped, you headed downstairs to start your day.
Breakfast was quick and a bit lonely. You dedicated yourself to cleaning up the kitchen immediately after, getting at least one of your tasks out of the way. The house was terribly quiet with only one occupant, the beast of a building seeming to wilt when devoid of the multiple inhabitants it was meant for. Your sigh felt as loud as a gust of wind in the empty space, no other noises to distract you. They'll be back at 2. It isn't that long.
Schoolwork came next. You decided to peruse the entirety of Erwin's book collection, wondering if any would suit research for your thesis. Memorizing their locations, you took a few from his shelves and spread them out on the desk, picking one and reading it while sprawled across the couch. Literature concepts and fiction techniques danced around in your mind as you killed time reading, the only moment in which pure silence was welcome.
Closer to 1, you had started a load of laundry with most of the clothes being Erwin's from last week. You ate lunch, switched the wash to the dryer, then waited for the cycle to finish before sorting out which clothes belonged to who. After storing your and Levi's clothes, you returned to the laundry room to handle Erwin's delicate suits.
You had only ironed Levi's blazers in the past, so using a steamer was a little new to you. Eventually figuring it out, you hung up the first of his coats on a hanger before delicately smoothing out its folds with the hissing snake of a steamer.
You finished several minutes later, smoothing out each blazer on a hanger before picking up a bundle of them, letting the bouquet of clothes spill out of your arms as you exited the laundry room and traversed to the hall that led to Erwin's quarters. You bypassed the door to his bedroom on the right and the door to his study on the left, entering his bathroom at the end of the hall.
It was certainly a master bathroom, fit for a king and, upon further realization, perhaps also a queen. The room was perfectly symmetrical, the entrance cutting through the counter that had a sink on either side, a wide mirror bordering it. Two doors situated on either wall likely led to individual closets, split for a his-and-hers floorplan. Against the back wall, a large alcove bathtub was the centerpiece, flanked by the toilet closet on one side and the wide shower on the other.
