"NO!" you shrieked, reaching uselessly for the man that wasn't there. "Dammit, dammit, dammit! How could you, Erwin?!" You whipped around to face the brute that restrained you. "Levi's going to die because of you! Do you understand that?! You've sent him to his death!"
Erwin held no pity or remorse in his demeanor. He bore down on you with eyes that showed indifference, blinded by his personal goal. "I won't talk to you until you calm down."
"Calm down? Are you fucking kidding me?!" You threw your whole body into trying to free your arm from him, with no luck. "You want me to be calm when Levi is going to die?"
Erwin didn't reply. He was serious about his declaration.
"I don't believe this! I cannot fucking believe this!" You looked back at the door, wishing Levi would just reenter, having backed out due to regret, or cowardice, or hesitancy. It didn't matter why. You just wanted him back.
But he didn't come. He was gone, and you were once again left behind and left alone.
Fuck your twelve minutes, Levi. You don't know real hell like I do right now. Your anger was directed at anyone and everyone, cursing the world for allowing this situation to happen. What happened to being dedicated to me? What happened to your promise to stay? Erwin says a few words and your mind changes? I don't care if Kenny hurts him. I don't care if Kenny hurts me. I just want you to be with me.
You were pulled from your thoughts by Erwin releasing your arm. Glancing down at your freed arm, your first instinct was to escape the room.
"Don't go anywhere," Erwin said. "I don't want to be aggressive, but I am faster than you. Don't make me resort to something unprofessional."
The drop of rationality left in your brain convinced you that he was right. You could try, but attempting to leave would be futile. You felt disgusted to be alone with the demon that sent Levi away, the twisted villain of a man that masked himself behind a flawless professor.
"Go sit on the couch," was Erwin's next command.
"Don't tell me what-"
"(Y/n), sit down." Erwin circled around you, blocking you from the door. "I'll talk to you once you're sitting and calm."
You stepped away from him, slowly making your way to the couch. Sitting on the edge of the cushion, you kept your hateful glare trained on Erwin.
He stayed standing in the middle of the room, giving you space while blocking your exit.
"Levi's going to die," you repeated. "Levi's going to die on your command."
"No, he isn't." Erwin began explaining his relentless confidence regarding the situation. "Did you forget? I was in contact with the police before I came here. I'll call them again and tell them to go to Levi's apartment. They'll handle Kenny."
"It won't work. Kenny is better than them."
"Not when he's only expecting Levi. He knows Levi would act alone, but neither of them know I intend to send backup."
"Kenny's stronger than some policemen."
"No human is faster than a bullet. He won't win against armed officers. Besides, Levi will be there. Kenny can't take on everyone. I was able to outwit him; I'm sure Levi and the law can do the same."
"Still, you don't know if it will succeed. You're risking Levi in one of your gambles."
"Then that's his punishment for not dealing with this sooner."
