Trapped in the massive cage, you took the time to check through Levi's computer, hoping he hadn't already erased his history. He did. Dammit. Even checking through the system settings yielded no record of his searches. Oh, well. Maybe I can just get him to spill that, too.
When Levi returned, his mood had somewhat shifted. "I'm back."
"Finally." You had already positioned yourself at your seat.
"Let's get back to our conversation."
"No time for pleasantries, huh?"
"Of course not. It's been on my mind."
"What has? Your failure of a reward system?"
"No." He crossed to you. "The way you thwarted the deal in the first place."
"Oh, that's what you're fixated on? Why?"
"You couldn't bother staying diligent for a few days. I set out with this deal to test your resolve, and I was severely disappointed in the outcome." He stood before you, crossing his arms. "First off, you had such low commitment that you chose to seek answers elsewhere, away from me."
"Yes, and it worked."
"Your dedication to defying me is unbelievable. Only now do I realize how much stricter I need to be with you."
"Oh, is that the conclusion you reached?" You rested your head on a closed fist.
"Secondly, your annoyance over the supposedly lackluster reward was more prominent than I expected."
"Well, obviously. It was ridiculous to make me work for a week for an answer like that."
"It seemed like you expected a more exciting conversation between Erwin and I."
"Yeah."
"That concerns me. What sort of conversation were you hoping to find out about?"
"Um..." You looked away, thinking. "I don't know. It sounded private, and it seemed to be about me."
"But you wanted something more? You wanted Erwin and I to be discussing you in secret? What did you think we were talking about?"
"I'm not sure. I just thought having to obey for a week would have yielded something interesting."
"Interesting, as in?"
You pursed your lips. "I don't know. I thought he might have given you ideas, or something."
"Ideas? For what?"
"I-I don't know! Something!"
"Such as?"
You hated the pressure and couldn't formulate a good answer. "Something for you to do, um, against me. I guess."
"Tch. Seriously? You think I would ask Erwin about how to dominate you?"
"Well, not really..." It sounded silly when said aloud.
"Not only that, you think Erwin has that sort of knowledge? You think Erwin knows about domination?"
"I hadn't really thought-"
"You think he knows more than me?"
"N-no, I wouldn't say that."
"Then what? What were you thinking?"
"Well, he helped me at the conference. I thought maybe he had switched sides and tried to help you."
