106: Return

You gazed at the night sky through the glass door to the terrace, wondering just how much time had passed since you had been imprisoned. Surprisingly, Levi nor Erwin had returned for quite a while, each busy in their own parts of the house. It left you absolutely bored out of your mind, given nothing to do but watch the sky darken and feel the heat in your palm slowly wane.

"Levi!" you called yet again, perhaps for the dozenth time. He could certainly hear you--the living room was the dead center of the house, after all--but he never did answer. Only footsteps from the room above proved he hadn't died and instead was simply ignoring his suffering pet.

You shifted your position, running out of fresh ways to soothe your aching body. It was cramped, at first bearable but now growing just a tad unpleasant.

Sighing, you looked behind you at the empty foyer. "Sir?"

Nothing. They were brutal with their neglect, and you felt the full, crushing effect. Being reduced to a coffee table replacement wasn't quite the punishment you wanted to undergo, sometimes neglect coming off as less enjoyable than certain forms of pain. Boredom lent you no emotion to enjoy, completely shutting off production of the lovely hormones that kept you aroused. It was dull, to say the least.

"Can I have my phone, at least?" you asked of the seemingly empty house. No answer led you to utter a frustrated, "Assholes."

"Language," Erwin chided as he seemingly materialized from nowhere.

"Ah, finally!" You lit up upon witnessing him enter the living room, growing even more elated as you saw what he was carrying. A thick pillow was tucked under his arm, somewhat hidden underneath the lush blanket draped over it.

"It's already 9 PM. I'm sure Levi will go to bed soon." Erwin stood a few feet from the cage as if you would swipe should he get any closer. "You should at least have something comfortable to sleep in."

"Yeah, thanks." You reached an arm past the bars, your expectant palm ready to receive.

"(Y/n), didn't Levi say to keep your hands inside the cage?" Erwin was innocent with his question, as though he had genuinely forgotten Levi's rules.

"Oh." You shyly retracted your hand, instead gripping one of the bars as you waited for your cargo to be given. "Um, I'd like the blanket, though."

"Can you ask politely?" He still wouldn't move any closer, wishing to drill just a little more subservience into you.

You obliged, drained of resistance or embarrassment. "Can I please have a blanket and pillow, Sir?"

"Certainly. That was very lovely." He approached, feeding the pillow through the bars to his waiting prisoner.

"Lovely?" You had to grin, clutching your new source of comfort. "Well, thanks. Glad I can be lovely."

  "You're quite welcome."

The blanket came next, a thick quilt that provided ample coverage for your otherwise scarcely-clothed body. You wrapped it around your body snugly, forgetting about your confinement in the delightful cocoon. A new method to summon Levi came to mind, a surefire way to get him riled enough to come tell you off, or something along those lines. "This is very generous of you, Erwin!" you called to any eavesdroppers. "If only my amazing boyfriend were as nice as you were!"

"Don't annoy him too much." Erwin, though amused, still issued a genuine warning. "I might've given you those things, but he can certainly take them away. I'm not going to retrieve them for you if he does."

"Aw, seriously?" You gripped the edges of your quilted cloak tightly, refusing to let go of it. "I could get cold overnight, though."

"Then you should stay obedient so that doesn't happen." Erwin gave you a final look-over, then glanced behind him to see Levi enter, also carrying a blanket and pillow. He had changed into nightwear, looking like nothing more than a weary toddler ready for a sleepover.
