The next day, Adrien left Marinette's room early in the morning later arriving home to his father. Only then, Gabriel didn't care about where his son was so he just ignored him. Though Adrien didn't care about him, he only cared about Marinette.

"Hey kitty." Marinette started to towards him, "thanks, thanks for last night.

"No problem." He mumbled, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "Can we walk to school?"

"Sure."

The two started walking to school in complete silence. "Okay, Adrien. What's going on?"

"Nothing, nothing." He repeated taking his hands out of his pockets, rubbing the back of his head. "It's fine."

She looked at him rolling her eyes, slowly taking his hand. "Just hold my hand stupid cat and tell me later today what's wrong."

He looked at her blankly, kissing her on the cheek. "You taste sweet."

"Oh my God."

The day went by and then gym came along. The same game was being played once again and the teams were still the same. Adrien's group was on next against Kim's group. The game was tight and Mari knew that Adrien had something on his mind because he wasn't that good as he was the other day. Adrien stole the ball from Max, dribbling to the hoop until he was stopped by Kim.

"Face it Agreste," Kim huffed, "you know it and I know it."

"Shut up and focus on the game." Hissed Adrien.

"Stop ignoring the fact. I know your father kicked you out and I know that you know live in a club now."

"H-how?"

"Thanks to Luka. He now works for your father. Your father says that Luka was better anyways. Isn't it sad when even your own family doesn't really know who you are." Adrien's eyes widened and before he knew it Kim elbowed him in the gut stealing the ball. He dribbled it to the other side of the court slam dunking it in the basket. He strutted past Adrien snickering. "You'll always lose. No matter what, I always win."

Adrien's bolted open. "Meet me at the back of the school then we'll fight. You're not going to push me around anymore."

"Okay then. It's a deal."

Adrien stormed into the locker room sitting on the bench, burying his face in his hands. Tears streamed from his eyes but he didn't make a sound. Marinette walked into the locker room sitting besides him.

"Listen, it's just a game." She spoke coolly. "Kim is just competitive."

"No...you don't understand," his voice shook in angst, "it's different. Do you know what it feels like?"

"What do you mean?"

"When your family never knew who you were and then next thing you know they replace you."

"No, but that same fate is crawling up to me. Was it your father?"

"Yes it was my father. I just want to feel something, something that only people feel when they have someone loving towards them. I'm trying to balance on the crap I have a club that I live in. Including, I don't see you rushing up to your daddy and mommy telling them I'm your guy. I don't see you fighting."

"I am but I haven't got the time to do that."

"That's a lie. It hurts, don't try to protect me. No matter how hard you try, you always lose."

"What happened to the words that you told me a few days ago."

"Well I was just fooling myself." He got up and started to walk out of the locker room.

The next class, Marinette only had her mind on one person that concerned her. Did he really come to teach her how to let go or did he just get bored of her. Either one could work but it still bothered her. At the end of the school day she had to talk some sense into Adrien before he went to go beat the crap out of Kim. Only then she saw that they were in the middle of the fight.

"HIT HIM IN THE NOSE!" Ivan screamed.

Kim slammed his right fist into Adrien's face, hooking him in the gut, leading his left fist into the side of his head. Adrien was a bloody mess and he was tired though he knew he couldn't lose. Adrien punched Kim in the face two times, ramming his body into him, punching his gut and slammed his fist into his head to where it split Adrien's knuckles open. Then he grabbed Kim by the neck picking him up in the air getting ready to break his neck until he saw Marinette. He sighed throwing him down, punching him in the ribs.

"Give up," Adrien breathed, "you lose."

"Fine." Kim coughed up blood, "you win now get out of here."

Adrien started to walk away from the fight, running into Marinette. Their eyes met but hearts apart. It was so sweet and so bitter. He looked at her hard with blood dripping from his lip only then to walk past her without a word.

"I told you, you would lose him." Lila scowled.

She didn't respond, she only watched him walk away like if he were leaving the world. Like if he fought his way into this world, then fought his way out.
