After spring break they all went back to school and Marinette got a new apartment with some starter money from her mom. She got a job at a convenience store to support herself. The apartment complex wasn't as big as the old one, but it was still nice. Her apartment was on the second floor with a small balcony where she entered her house with a big blast of breeze hitting her face whenever she went outside of her apartment. It had a separate bathroom, small kitchen, a chabudai in front of the small couch, a medium sized tv and full sized bed all in the same room. Yet after three days when spring break ended, two more months left until summer vacation. Still her and Adrien didn't talk after when he told her that he was going to stop liking her. Sometimes it got to her head where she got a little mad at others, but just because something broke her ego, doesn't mean she could go take it out on others. One day after school when there was basketball training she watched Adrien shoot a basketball. She watched him play basketball and all her focus got on him.

"You need to interact with strangers, hurt them, get hurt by them. Learn about people and learn about yourself too. If you don't then you will not be capable of true empathy."

Eric's words rang in her head and she couldn't take it anymore. "Hey Kagami. I am taking a small break, okay? If anyone needs me I'll be on the roof." She mumbled as she walked past her.

She went up the fire escape onto the school's roof where the cleaners cleaned. There she sat on the roof, with her knees pressed up against her chest. There she sat there admiring the sunset, taking a break trying to get her thoughts back in place.

"Hey." Adrien mumbled standing above her.

"Hey."

"I guess you found where I have been going when I need a break."

"Yeah. Wait can I ask you a question?"

"Sure."

"When we were dating. Why didn't you bring me up here?"

"Dunno. Maybe I really didn't feel anything much to bring you up here to give you my pain."

"Did you bring up Kagami up here?"

"I brought no one up here. Why do you care?"

"I was just wondering. I'm sorry then."

"Before you go apologizing and saying sorry and stuff. Why don't you try putting a little more effort into doing something about it yourself. That's all I really wanted to say and welcome to the club."

"Huh?"

"Vent club. I have to get down see you around." He left her trying to absorb what he said.

"Before you go apologizing and saying sorry and stuff. Why don't you try putting a little more effort into doing something about it yourself."

Only then the words filled her head making her starting grow more anxious. Basketball training was over and it hit five in the afternoon. Yet Mari still stayed behind organizing more stuff for the basketball team.

I wish I could tell him that I was looking for him and I'm lost. I live in a dream that I will never wake up from. Everyday I try, I try to chase you because I'm in love. Why is it so hard for me to tell you. Probably because...I know that you moved on.

She looked at the time and she saw that it was eight at night. "Dam, how long have I been in here?"

Gathering her belongings, she headed out of the school, seeing that the janitor started to clean up the school right when she started to leave. Instead of going home she went to the basketball court, taking off her backpack. There she took out a basketball, walking to the free throw line. Tears started to form in her eyes while she stared at the basket. "How? How can he just no worry a thing and he can just causally shove it off his shoulder that I don't love him? He's so chill, he doesn't care what others say about him. I want to be like him, but I can't help being me and he can't help being him. I love him, I love him like crazy. I love him just as he is."

She held her breath shooting the basketball to go in the basket, but it bounced off the rim and into Adrien's hand. "You were close. So what made you come out here to go miss a basket?"

Anger and pain burned in her heart as she clenched her fist. "WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE I'M DOING?! I'M TRYING TO REMEMBER, TRYING TO REMEMBER WHAT THINGS WERE LIKE BACK WHEN THINGS MADE SENSE! TRYING TO GO BACK WHEN YOU SAID THAT YOU LOVED ME! I KNOW I PASSED MY LIMIT! ONLY THEN I REALIZED THAT I WAS BEING A STUPID FOOL WHO WAS ONLY DESPERATE!" She yelled at him with tears. "The scariest thing and the most painful thing is to be hated by someone you truly love. It's hard for me to say that I love you. It's not because of you, mostly because of me. I feel like a coward. I love you a lot. So much that you would never even imagine. I love you so much, just as you are."

His eyes softened and he walked towards her, lifting her up with one arm. There he walked to the basketball hoop, handing her the ball. "Shoot it."

She gulped, shooting the ball, but it bounced off the rim. Crap. He caught the ball with his hand, smiling at her. Did this guy grow after one week?!

He shot it in the basket with a nice flick of the wrist. "Remember what I said senpai? I always got your back and my feelings will never change. I said that I will stop liking you to speed up the process from slow motion, but it showed me something. It showed me that you have changed. I love you no matter what."

He leaned in and kissed her on the lips. She pulled him in closer and everything felt right. She pulled back realizing that they were in public, but no one was around which was good. Though they had to keep their relationship secret due to their families. "Senpai...surrender your body to me." He whispered in her ear.

She grew red. "Uh...set me down."

"Why?"

"A FORBIDDEN relationship and if anyone catches us—" He set her down before she could finish her sentence.

"I get it, why not just rebel against your mother's orders and just make it official? My dad doesn't care."

"Still, we cannot announce it."

"Okay, let's go to your place."

"Isn't your father wanting you to come home?"

"Like I said, he doesn't care. Don't you want me to come to your place?"

"ER.....FINE JUST DON'T MAKE SO MUCH NOISE." She hissed. He took her by the hand taking her out of the basketball court. "WAIT HOLD UP. I MOVED."

"Ok then. Be my GPS."

After giving Adrien directions to her home he was a little shocked by what she moved into. They went up the steps to her door where they got the usual blast of breeze when they got to the second floor. "Uh...just stay out there for a second. I have to you know..." She opened the door closing it behind her.

I have to get this place cleaned up...

Then she did a whole speed run of her home, cleaning up stuff and picking up her clothes off the floor. "Come in." She opened the door for him as he stepped in the room.

"Honestly I like it better. The bed is in the living room. It smells like you and I like it, unlike the old place." He dropped down his stuff besides the couch and got the tv remote. "There's a show on at this time."

"Eh.." She was very confused. She thought that he would want to embrace her in his arms, but instead he just wanted to watch tv at her place. She sat down besides him feeling awkward. "Um...so what time is your show on?"

"Ten."

"So want to play a game or something? Probably we could play Mystery Date game?"

WHAT WAS I THINKING?!

"I don't like guys. I despise them and I always get jealous."

"I have a Nintendo Switch and we can play Dragon Ball."

"Okay then. That will kill time."
